Robin is freaking out about how she hasn’t had her first kiss yet and Steve’s like, “Hey, I’ll help you.”
She raised an eyebrow at him and he rolls his eyes, “Not with me, obviously. I will find you someone.”
This leads to a whole month where they’ll go to a party/bar/club and Steve will bring over a random man and just leave him there.
Robin is just ?????????
She feels like she’s reading this wrong because to her, it seems like Steve is implying that she should make out with these objectively good looking guy and - and - finally she explodes, “Do you know what a lesbian is?”
“Yeah?”
“Okay, then why do you keep bringing guys over to me??!!”
Steve gives her a baffled look, says like it’s obvious, “So you can have your first kiss.”
“Why?” She asks through the insanity. “Would. I. Want. To. Do. That?????! I’m. A. Lesbian.”
“…oh, Robs,” Steve says like he gets it but proves that he really doesn’t when he adds, “A first kiss feels like it’s really important but it’s not. So you just do it with anyone to get it over with.”
“I’m a lesbian.”
“So?? My first kiss was with Tommy,” Steve shrugs. “Why would you want your first kiss to be with someone you like? The first kiss is always bad.”
Robin just stares at that revelation and then looks at the clock. It’s getting late but they can be tired for work tomorrow. This is a conversation she needs to have now.”
they are so special to me
The fact that this is 80 fucking years ago but still just as relevant is terrifying.
Thinking About Fictional Character while you have music on is such a risky activity. there’s no way EVERY song on this album is literally about Fictional Character. and yet……..
literally made a gamejam game about him (it's called Nosferat on itch.io for anyone interested) love this man
i need to smoke a joint with him so so bad
He's helping!
my dearest headcanon is that both billy and max have big issues eating at home. everyone in that house sucks at cooking but billy was unable to really stomach anything after his momma left and what were easy meals became stomachaches for max because of the tension and the 99.9% chance of a fight breaking. i can and i will bet $100 they BOTH threw up the first day of school at hawkins.
both can eat the cafeteria food and will eat anything, not picky at all, although they have an awful diet. max runs on ketchup packets and plain bread and billy's breakfast and dinner are cigarettes.
now, when they get closer to the party (pretend that billy is safe and sound), they learn about this and decide to fix it immediately. max ends up having dinner at someone's house (usually lucas). billy gets leftovers from joyce when he goes to pick her up at the byers house. dustin coincidentally always gets extra sandwiches his mama made for lunch and no, he cant eat them all, max can you help him? steve invites billy to get hot dogs, burgers, and uh, a salad too, something healthy right?, after practice. and they both should get water, too—
it takes them some time but when they realize, both billy and max are awful mad. yet, upon thinking about it, max doesnt go to bed with a stomachache and billy doesnt feel nauseous every day. so, maybe it *is* okay
maybe they just forgot how it felt to be taken care of
no neurodivergent infighting here
I see a man (fictional), I am generally like "okay". I see the same man (fictional) being put in a situation, covered in dirt and blood, perhaps soaking wet, actively sobbing and shaking like a chihuahua, and I am saying "yay" and "yippee" and things of this nature
Bitchy x Bitchy couples have my heart.
write weird shit. Write indulgent au fanfiction and self insert fics. Write creepy horror scenes and random character crossover dialogue. Write in a different genre. Write that sex scene that you know won’t make the cut. Write about sentient furniture turning into werewolves that try to date your MC. Write whump or hero/villain fic. Write your kink. Write your worst nightmare. Write your delusions of power and fantasies of control. Write whatever the fuck you feel like. Write whatever comes to mind. You don’t have to share it with anyone (but you can). Your writing impulses don’t define your morality anymore than your reading preferences, and actually going outside your comfort zone will improve your writing skills (making a horrifying villain sympathetic requires good characterization). Even if it doesn’t improve your skills, that’s still something you created out of nothing. It’s still valuable. Don’t let purity culture kill your creativity. That’s how culture stagnates. That’s how writing stops being fun.
