no one asked for this but i Needed It, so here we go, pals! ranking steve’s hair through the seasons, because i can! and because The Hair does have many fine moments!

1. Sweaty Pie

an absolute mess. a brush? steve doesn’t Know Her.

wild and tousled and a lil sweaty but Absolutely No One is complaining

claims to be a jock but is actually pretty adorable in that dorky gym shirt. nice try bud. 

his hair is that big because it’s full of all the times the duffers ignored his trauma

2. Sweaty Pie 2: Sad & Sweaty

the mullet at its finest. no this isnt up for debate. 

very stern. he came out to have a good time and he’s feeling really attacked rn. 

glowing. sweaty, but like, absolutely killing the game. 

freckles!!!! 

3. Simp

jen touched on it in a post but the lil piece in the back? absolutely iconic.

the Poof. the contrast of the blue jacket and the brown hair/eyes. *chef’s kiss*

a very Soft look. we love to see it. 

4. L’Oreal Hawkins

does this one even need explanation??? 

the poise. the Curl. the literal ringlet. 

clearly it’s camera angle but it looks Longer here and something about it…hmm i do be thinking

5. The Wave

very big. very beautiful. the dark vest and the lighting in the room? impeccable. his hair is Shining. voluminous. 

truly cant get over the little wave. that perfect lil arch probably lasted a total of four minutes before it became a mess. 

6. High-lights

steve who is your colorist they’re doing fantastic. 

is it the blood and the lighting? perhaps. am i digging it? absolutely. 

it’s messy just like his life but youre still looking good my man 

7. Ahoy, Sailor

ill die on the sailor uniform hill. 

the little tie. the shorts. the hat. the way his hair puffs out beneath it. 

you think if he took it off like. that top part would be stuck down. picture it. 

dorky but it’s cute. 

8. Someone Get Him An Ice Pack Please

one of the softest hair looks. like cotton candy style soft. 

miraculous theres no blood in his hair quite honestly

if he jogged it would probably bounce up and down a bit. 

moment of appreciation for the little curls sticking out in the front and doing their own thing. we see u. 

9. Smol

obviously not the best look, but high school me would have let him ruin me emotionally in a heartbeat. 

the only time in the series Steve Harrington appears put together

Liking character is fun until you think about them and you just have to stare at nothing for a few minutes because of how tragic
