To anyone who needs to hear this.

If you don't feel comfortable giving your personal identification to someone to get access to a discord server. Even with stuff censored on it.

Then don't force yourself out of your comfort zone to give it to the server or people running it.

If they are trying to push you, convince you endlessly that its okay, or its safe, etc. Take that as a red flag to run.

The fact anyone is asking for your ID, driver license, passport, any personal important information from you. To get access to a discord server. Is honestly just ridiculous. And shouldn't be even a thing I feel.

Even going as far as in times asking for video proof you are really who state you are, to get more confirmed proof you are you, just to get access to a server for a video game...Which is dangerous, especially with how ai is now.

Or saying your proof is fake because its not high quality good enough for them to accept. (seriously, how many more red flags do ya need?)

There are even times one will poorly censor their things, using a light marker, keeping vital stuff uncensored, etc. Just putting themselves and their personal information in danger. For trusting a stranger too much, that you have a parasocial relationship with, thinking it'll be fine.

All just for access for maybe a tiny update on a game. That honestly I feel isn't even worth all that stuff to even risk it all to see.

Especially in this time right now, where queer, trans, poc, everyone is now at more risk for their lives, if they live in the US. Where we should be smarter and more careful now. Not stupid and reckless for a honestly not that special game imo...

So I'll say it again.

Never force yourself out of your comfort zone if something doesn't feel right to you. And never let others attempt of peer pressuring you into doing something, be successful on making you do something you're not comfortable with. Always stay safe and take care of yourself always. Please...

I want a story about a king whose son is prophesied to kill him so the king is like “whatever what am I supposed to do, kill my own kid wtf is wrong with you” so he just raises him as normal, doesn’t even tell him about the prophecy, and instead of some convoluted twist of events that leads to the king’s murder the son grows up and when the king is very old and dying and in excruciating pain the kid is just like alright I'mma put him out of his misery.

I can't articulate how utterly inhumane it is that we've not only normalized, but valorized, sleep deprivation. We treat it like an achievement.

Sleep deprivation increases your risk for a myriad of serious illnesses like heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, and stroke.

And that's just to name a few.

Some of the most important cellular work we do all day happens while we're sleeping. When we don't get enough quality sleep and rest, our cells literally can't effectively repair themselves.

It literally damages every system in our bodies.

Capitalism lies.

Getting enough sleep is actually one of the most meaningfully "productive" things we can do.
