Youāve probably heard of runes and youāve probably seen them throughout popular culture media, - theyāre often used in fantasy based television shows and films. It is likely that the runes you have seen are Elder Futhark Runes (old Norse ones - weāll cover that later) but the ones featured in this post, are Witches Runes. Theyāre often inscribed on stones or used in rituals.
Crossroads: use if youāre going through a change, have decisions to make or wish to bring about change.
Man: use in magick that deals with men (naturally!), masculinity, or (if youāre religious) the strength of your God(s).
Woman: use in magick that deals (again, naturally!) with women, femininity, or to invoke any Goddesses you have.
The Eye: use in psychic workings or dealings with truth; to reveal deception, for example. Used also in/for protection.
Harvest: use for prosperity and abundance magick, dealings with money or to attract something good to your life.
The Sun: use for growth and happiness, strength and masculinity and for invoking any deities that are associated with the Sun. Use also in protection magick and on Sabbats.
The Moon: femininity and magick. It enhances power and is used in the invocation of deities associated with the Moon and during Esbats.
Flight: higher knowledge and the attraction of something new; success and business ventures - brings about new opportunities.
The Rings: used for binding and attracting new love; it strengthens existing bonds.
Romance: naturally, this attracts new love and/or romance. Used in sex and fertility magick and heals broken hearts.
The Scythe: used to break curses and hexes; removes bad luck and influences and can be used to break or weaken bonds and relationships.
The Star: a wishing rune that, when meditated on, brings about good fortune and good luck.
Waves: symbolizes purity and can be used for forgiveness and healing, as well as the expulsion of bad and negative energies.

i should be a chess grandmaster because i'm so good at sitting at a table with my head in my hands and a look of despair on my face
Because I kind of have my own correspondences for the phases of the moon, I thought Iād explain them here!Ā
New Moon - the moon is just beginning to become illuminated, so it can correspond with new beginnings, a fresh start, cleansing, exploring new opportunities, newfound health or relationships, finding peace with yourself and moving on - āout with the old and in with the new.ā
Waxing Moon - the moon is continuing to grow, becoming more and more visible, so it can correspond with attraction magick, reaching goals, manifestation magick, positive energy, success, wishes, good luck, gaining wealth, and dreams come true.Ā
First Quarter - this moon is halfway illuminated, on its way to becoming fully illuminated, so it can correspond to balance, and the need to make decisions.Ā
Full Moon - the moon is fully illuminated, so it can correspond with extra energy, a magickal boost, cleansing, charging, enchanting, performing divination, and honoring lunar deities.Ā
Third Quarter - this moon is also halfway illuminated, but on its way to becoming invisible in the sky, therefore while it can still correspond with balance, it can also correspond to focusing on the task at hand, banishing, and breaking old habits.Ā
Waning Moon - the moon is becoming less illuminated, and seems as though itās disappearing, so it can correspond to generalized negative energy, reflection, introspection, transformation of the self, banishing things, binding others actions or undoing bindings, letting go, moving on, cleansing, breaking bad habits, and finding peace.Ā
Dark Moon - the moon is completely hidden in the sky, with no illumination at all, so it can correspond to cursing, banishing, binding, seeking justice, reflection of the self, and generalized destruction.Ā
Blue Moon - this moon is eitherĀ the third of four full moons in a season, or a second full moon in a month, so itās appearance can correspond to wishes, dreams, divination, achievement, and focus.Ā
Black Moon - this moon isĀ an additional new moon that appears in a month or in a season, or the absence of a full moon or of a new moon in a month, therefore it can correspond to extra power and manifestation.Ā
Where to start? This isĀ theĀ most commonĀ question iĀ receive. I understandĀ how overwhelming the craft can be! There are so manyĀ different components, and you can rest knowing your education will NEVER be complete. You will continue to learn new things all the time, and there is no rush to the order in which you learn! Cool down, andĀ takeĀ some time to really fall into theory before jumping into practice. Its very important to read asĀ much as you can, from as many sources as possible. Here are some of the many things you can research:
Crystals & their uses
Color correspondences
Different kinds of Magic
Different kinds of witches
Tools
Moon Phases
Planets/Celestial Bodies
Witch History
Herbs & their uses
Plants that are naturally abundant in your area that you can use in magick
Energy
Meditation and Visualisation
Astral Projection
Deities
Tarot cards and other forms of divination
Symbols (runes, sigils)
Theban alphabetĀ
Incense and Oils
Animals and what they represent
Sabbats
Cleansing, charging and consecration of tools
making mundane things magical
There are so many more things, so feel free to add in anything I missed or that you personally find important.
Witchlings, pleaseĀ ask me any questionsĀ you may have as i am happy to answer to the best of my knowledge. I will be putting up more educational posts over the next few weeks, so please ask or message me if theres anything specific youād like me to cover. Iāll more than likely have a post for each of the bullet points above.
Blessed be!
Does that person really have ~bad vibes~ or are they neurodivergent and you haven't taken the time to deconstruct what society has told you is acceptable behavior based solely on neurotypicality?
āi feel like i have no purposeā You are not a fixed entity. You do not have one grand, singular, constant purpose. As long as you have genuine intent behind your actions, everything you do serves a purpose. As long as you are truly present, you notice that everything contributes to a greater whole. You do not need to dedicate yourself endlessly to one practice to achieve a purpose; allow yourself to oscillate freely between them all. Experiment. You are not one dimensional: treat yourself as such.
Iāve heard of Pagans being contacted by their gods via certain Tarot Cards, so I wanted to do a deep dive and outline which Cards are associated with which Gods. Hopefully this can help you tell which God is reaching out to you :)

Yule Positive Spell
ā”Happy Solstice!!! Hope you all have a merry Yule!!!ā” We want you to finish this year with the best of energy and positive vibes, so here below will be the steps to take in this longest night of the year.
Gather your items and light the candle. You donāt have to pronounce words but if it helps you visualize, you can do it. Think of how the fire of the candle will cleanse your loved ones and your soul.
Place the red ribbon in the bottle and thing of how this color is the color of love and how it connects you all.
Place the cinnamon with the chestnuts and imagine its all your loved ones together and yourself in this peaceful night even if you wont be able to see them all.
Write your intention on the paper. Any positive emotion or wish you want them all to have.
Put the paper in the bottle and grab the candle. Drip the melted wax on the contents inside.
You can keep thinking on this peaceful moment and the positive energy you are creating to charge yourself more.
Extinguish the candle
