Hunter's Moon đ
Fanart for Hunter's Moon, written by the lovely @lavenderstaars
I implore you guys, please please read this masterpiece. I have no words that will ever encompass how deeply I feel for this fic. It is truly, soul crushingly, heart rendingly, breathtakingly beautiful.
I have a weird obsession with Omega & Crosshair (fave sibling duo in TBB). I FEEL Cross & Omega have a VERY strong bond (First shown in S1E1). He just doesnât know it YET lol! ALWAYS been my prayer that they will be reunited & I think he will WANT to protect her from his love for her!
Iâm still TERRIFIED what will happen to her! Hunter is her FATHER, BUT Cross is also meant to be her protector!
i live and come back with a completely different fandom.
oops.
the quality looks a bit crunched- i swear it isnt just not zoomed in, atleast i hope đđ

I absolutely LOVE this so very much!!! I love Crosshair and Omega Fanfictions because thereâs something about these two beloved characters to me! I love their dynamic and how much Omega loves him without caring about herself.
Sheâs so selfless and Crosshair needs her and that kind of undying love and kindness towards him especially from his little loving sister!
A/N: Okay, so this is an exert from my CrosshairxOC fanfiction I'm working on. The story itself is set after the events of the season finale, so I make happen whatever I want to happen. So here: I give you part of this chapter. Quick background: Crosshair was taken back by the Empire, but they found no use for him and were going to end him. The Batch turned around and came back for him, rescuing him from the Empire and ACTUALLY removing the chip. That's where this chapter picks up. I went for a dramatic feel. Hope I accomplished that. ^^'
Also, if you want to be tagged whenever I post the rest of the story, just let me know!

Warnings: None; lotta pain and regret, but a happy ending, I promise.
Word count: 846 (really short)
It hurt.
Everything hurt.
His head was pounding, his muscles burned. His legs ached as if he had been running mile after mile. His lungs begged for air, but every breath was excruciatingly painful. Every fiber of his being was screaming out in agony. And yet, for the first time in Lord knows how long, there was one ache missing. One tiny-but-sharp pain missing from the side of his head.
Instinctively, ignoring the pulsing burn that traveled up his arm, his hand found its way to his head. He braced himself as his fingers brushed that familiar spot, waiting for the tormented thought to rush through his mind. Good soldiers follow orders.
A bandage?
No skull-splitting headache ensued. Instead, he found himself pressing his palm to a small, soft bandage plastered onto his skull. The only voice in his mind was his own. There was no one else, telling him to obey orders, to follow the Empire, to hurt his brothers.
A groan escaped his lips. He forced his eyes to open, but immediately regretted it when a bright light flooded his vision. He hissed in a breath.
âCrosshair?â
He tried again, slower. He was greeted by the face of a young, golden-haired child. Her brown eyes were filled with worry. Concern. Were those tears? Why did she look so scared?
âCrosshair! Can you hear me?â
âOmega?â Yes, that was her name. Omega.
Her eyes lit up. A smile spread across her face. âCrosshair! Youâre okay!â
A chorus of voices that he couldnât make out surrounded him. Pats to his aching shoulders, a set of hands helping him to a sitting position, all touches he could feel but not fully comprehend. He was disoriented, displaced. Until that child climbed up in front of him and threw her arms around his neck. Suddenly, his floating mind grounded itself in this girlâs hug. Everything came into focus and he could finally make out four faces he knew, oh, so well.
âHow do you feel, Cross?â Hunter. He placed his hand on Crosshairâs shoulder.
Crosshair grunted in response. He felt again. That was enough. Even if it was pain he was feeling, it was still better than nothing.
âHowâs your head?â Omegaâs small voice was pleading. Gingerly, she reached up to touch the bandage, but he grabbed her wrist before she could. Her small body tensed and her eyes grew wide as his action. She stared at him until he loosened his grip. He let go of her hand entirely and his gaze blankly fell to the metal surface he was sitting on.
âYou came back for meâŚâ His voice trailed off. Even to himself, he sounded weak and pathetic.
âWe did, Cross. We werenât going to leave you, not again.â Hunter squeezed his shoulder. âIâm sorry we didnât come back sooner. We shouldâveââ
âNo, no you shouldnâtâve.â The sniper kept his eyes locked on absolutely nothing. He knew that one look at his brotherâs face and he would crack to pieces. âThe Empire⌠They wouldâveâŚâ He squeezed his eyes shut. Images of his rifle sights set on Hunter crowded his mind. âI wouldâve⌠killedâŚâ
âCrosshair, look at me,â Omega spoke with all the force of a commanding officer. She cupped his rough face in her soft, delicate hands and gently tugged him until he looked into her eyes. âIt wasnât you. You didnât do any of that. It was the chip.â
âBut⌠But IâŚâ
âIt wasnât you, Crosshair.â Omega smiled at him, those eyes lighting up like a thousand stars. âWe missed you.â Before he could protest, she hugged his flaming torso and buried herself in his chest. She gave him a light squeeze, being mindful of his many bruises.
He stared down at her in wide-eyed shock. She felt so warm, so alive. She was willing to hug him, to⌠to love him, even after everything he had done. What did he do to deserve that kind of undying loyalty? Absolutely nothing. He had tried to hurt his brothers, to force them to join the Empire. And yet, here was this little girl, clinging to him, as if she never wanted him to leave again.
âWe did miss you, Cross,â Hunter spoke, his smoky voice low and sorrowful. âWeâre sorry.â He joined Omega, wrapping his arms around Crosshairâs shoulders and Omegaâs back. âIâm sorry.â
One by one, Echo, Wrecker and Tech fell in and pulled their long-lost brother into a warm embrace. Crosshair could do nothing but sit there, fighting every emotion that came welling up inside him. He was a soldier. He couldnât give into this⌠He couldnât allow emotion toâŚ
He broke. The tears he tried to ward off came flowing out, and he hugged Omega tightly to himself. He cried into her shoulder, his own shaking with each sob, and his brothers held him closer. âWe love you, Crosshair,â Omega whispered as she stroked his head.
Finally, he was back where he belonged, with his squad. He was with his family. And nothing, absolutely NOTHING was ever going to tear him from them again.
Just a small Hunter & Omega thing. The last episode hit me with feels (no spoilers for it though)
Another great Fanfiction surrounding Omega (my favorite and favorite duo is Crosshair and Omega) :)
Chapter 1: The Nature Book
Chapter 2: (coming soon!)
Read on AO3! or under the cut!
Summary: When they land on a planet in the middle of itâs fall season, Omega is excited to see the colourful forest for the first time.
Or some fall themed fluff centered on Omega and the Bad Batch!
Warnings: No warnings, really. Just a lot of fluff.
Word Count: 2, 237
âWe have arrived.â Tech said as he lowered the Havoc Marauder onto the planetâs surface.
Omega heard his words from the hold where she had been sitting beside Crosshair while he disassembled and cleaned his rifle. She could feel the landing gear hit the ground, softly rocking the ship as Tech landed it.
She immediately sprung to her feet, buzzing with the anticipation of seeing another new planet. She heard Crosshair shifting behind her as she rushed to the cockpit.
Theyâd gotten into a firefight while on a job for Cid and Tech had told them that their engine was too damaged to make it back to Ord Mantell. So they had to make a quick stop for repairs.
Omega had to push her way past Wreckerâs hulking frame in one of the back seats to get a clear view of the cockpit. When she did, she stopped in awe.

Omega has concerns, and Echo canât sleep. Their conversation leads to talk of a certain teenager Echo hadnât heard about in a long time.
(This summary sucks, just read the fic)

Summery: A collection of drabbles set in my modern au where the Bad Batch raise Omega after rescuing her from the abusive hands of their mother. In this chapter Crosshair takes care of Omega whilst she is sick.
Notes: Happy Birthday @xoxo-40782 ! This chapter is dedicated to you! I hope that you have an amazing birthday! Everyone should check out their bad batch modern au!! It is amazing!! And I used a lot of inspiration such as Crosshair liking Ghibli movies and having issues with his similar appearance to Nala Se in this fic!! I hope that you guys enjoy!! Xxxxxxxx

They had been warned that this could happen. Obi-Wan had told them that having been trapped in that Hell of a house all her life, Omega hadn't had the chance to be exposed to all those childhood germs other kids did, leaving her more susceptible to them now. And a month after starting school, it finally happened.
Omega had woken up on Monday morning with the worst cold Crosshair had ever witnessed. Coughs had racked her shivering body that was half delirious with fever.
The boys had preciously decided on a rota to take care of Omega on sick days, and on Friday it was finally Crosshair's turn.
Thankfully her fever had broken by now but she was still bunged up with snot, so Hunter had decided to keep her off the rest of the week, hoping that she would be fighting fit by Monday.
So all Crosshair had to do was keep an eye on her.
Which was kind of the problem.
He had managed to get over most of his ill placed jealously after his talk with Hunter, but unfortunately Crosshair was well aware that trauma didn't disappear that easily.
There was no denying that any of them were Jango's offspring, with his apparent super spreader genes. But where the rest of their siblings were all blunt corners, he and Omega were sharp edges with their pointed features and lighter hair that was unmistakably the mark of Nala Se.
And Crosshair hated it. He hated it so much he once smashed the mirror in the bathroom which Ninety-Nine never replaced. He could deal with his own appearance. Shaving his hair till it went grey and getting a tattoo across his face helped.
But then Omega came into their lives. And whilst Crosshair would be eternally grateful that she never had to step foot in their sorry excuse for a mother's home again, sometimes just being around her hurt.
To see that same face that tortured him his whole life in the innocent one of a little girl felt like a cruel joke that the universe was playing to specifically spite him.
He had resorted to avoiding her which wasn't easy in a small house packed with six people. However he figured it was the better option than accidently snapping at her with something he knew that he would immediately regret. He was pretty sure Hunter at least had noticed although his older brother hadn't mentioned anything about it, yet. He knew it was something he'd have to confront eventually.
He just didn't think that day would be today.
Crosshair sat on the sofa, whilst Omega was bundled up on the other, Gonky curled up on one side of her and a stack of tissue boxes on the other, as she watched TV. Having missed out on the past decade of pop culture, Hunter was trying to rectify that, starting with the Disney classics after Omega had asked what a Disney Princess was when one of her classmates had made fun of her for not knowing. They were currently up to Lilo and Stitch. Whilst Crosshair was much more of a Ghibli fan, he didn't mind the colourful cartoon musicals, not that he would ever admit it.
He kept one eye on Omega whilst scrolling through his phone. Replying to the texts Hunter sent about every five minutes reassuring him that yes their sister was indeed still alive and ignoring the messages from his asshole of a boss Rampart who was still giving him shit about taking a day off even though Aayla had offered to cover some of his sessions for him.
The movie had barely finished playing when Omega burst into tears.
Shit, Crosshair thought, rushing over to the girl.
"Are you hurt? What's wrong?" He asked. Hunter was going to kill him if anything happened to her on his watch.
"Sh-She... she's just like me!" Omega managed choke through her sobs.
"What do you mean?" He asked, not understanding where this conversation was going.
Omega pointed at the screen where the characters were currently visiting a montage of Elvis exhibits as the credits rolled.
"Lilo! She's Polynesian! She is raised by her siblings! She's just like me!"
That was when Crosshair realised she wasn't crying because she was hurt. Happiness might not be the correct to describe word it either. It was hard to put into words the freeing ideal of being known.
And God had Crosshair realised just how badly he'd fucked up.
Growing up, if he'd seen a movie like that with someone like him in it. Maybe he would've been able to recognise himself in someone else instead of feeling isolated in a body that nobody else could understand.
He hadn't even realised he'd pulled Omega into a hug until Gonky tried to jump between them to get in on the action.
Omega's sobs subsided into giggles as Gonky's tongue locked away her tears, tickling her face.
"Let her go you big lump." Crosshair told the husky, nudging him back to the girl's side. Since he was now over here anyway, Crosshair figured he might as well stay and settled into Omega's over side. He picked up the nearby remote.
"It might be garbage, a lot of the Disney sequels are but they made a second film if you want to watch that?"
Omega nodded eagerly, curling against his shoulder, as though it was the most natural thing in the world, even though it was the first time she had ever done it before.
To distract himself from getting teary eyed as well, Crosshair pressed play.
That scene where Crosshair drew his rifle to save Omega and everyone drew their weapons on him because they thought he was going to kill Hunter absolutely gutted me, but I also loved it a lot. Because it showed us a lot about where Crosshair is going, and his relationship with the Bad Batch right now, by doing very little.
Firstly, it showed that Crosshair still cares about The Bad Batch. He knew it would destroy them if anything happened to her. It showed that, on some level, he cares about Omega. He didnât want her to die. And, most importantly, I think it showed that he still has at least some small sliver of good left buried within him.
However, it also showed that, right now, The Bad Batch does not trust him. They obviously still care about him â you can tell by the way Hunter refused to leave him, the way Omega tried so hard to save his life, the way Wrecker and Tech were hurt that Crosshair never tried to find them just like they never tried to find him. And you can tell by the way they all turn to Crosshair and still offer to take him with them even after everything theyâve done to hurt each other.
âŚ.but.
They donât trust him. And I donât blame them. Up until Return to Kamino they could excuse Crosshairâs behavior as the inhibitor chip forcing him to do what heâs done. But after Crosshair reveals that his chip was taken out (whether itâs true or not), at this point in time they have to accept that Crosshair chose to attack them. To hurt them. To try and fry them alive in an proton engine. If what Crosshair said is true and his chip is gone, and they donât know for how long, then that means Crosshair was actively choosing to work against them this whole time. And if Crosshair was choosing to do all of that before, why would he stop now? Especially once he reached safety at the surface of the ocean. It would be so easy for him to just shoot them all, let Omega drown, and take their ship. They see Crosshair draw his rifle on Hunter and have to assume the worst - that heâs going to kill Hunter. Because they have no reason to think he wouldnât. Hell, in that moment, even my first thought was âwhat is shooting Hunter going to doâ before I realized what he was doing. And I like Crosshair! I want him to be good! I believe that one day heâs going to realize heâs wrong and leave the Empire! But I also recognize that heâs an antagonist, and the Bad Batch has every reason to be wary of him based on whatâs happened up to this point and what they know.
I think that moment may have been a big part in Crosshairâs decision to stay behind. Because Hunter and Wrecker and Omega can talk big game about how Crosshair is family and they are willing to take him back and be brothers and sister again. But Crosshair knows theyâre afraid of him. He knows they donât trust him. He knows that if he goes with them, things will never be how they were before. Theyâll be looking over their shoulder every time Crosshair sneezes and Crosshair will be walking on eggshells constantly trying to prove to them that he doesnât want to hurt them. Ultimately, I think choosing not to go with them at this point was the right call. Crosshair needs to redeem himself and prove himself a little for that to happen, and for that to happen he needs to realize that the Empire is wrong. That Crosshair is wrong. And do something about it.
It doesnât mean that they wonât ever be reunited. It doesnât mean that theyâll never trust Crisshair again. It doesnât mean that Crosshair will never realize his mistakes and go back to them. I firmly believe this episode was meant to set up a long-game redemption arc for Crosshair. I think Hunter pointing out that the Empire left him for dead, his interactions to Tech and Wrecker in the tube, and his conversation with Omega in Nala Seâs lab did get through to him enough that the seeds of doubt are planted. You can see the conflict on his face as theyâre leaving at the end of the episode. Hopefully with that, combined with how much he obviously still cares for his brothers, heâll start to realize throughout season 2 that everything he believes about the Empire is wrong. Then hopefully heâll start the process of making amends and doing the right thing. This episode actually ended up giving me a lot of hope for the future of Crosshair and The Bad Batch.
Here we go! I am pretty excited about this series.

Summary:
Hunter leaves every piece of himself in the snow. And of all the sensations that surround him, the stench of death cuts the deepest.
What if Hunter was the only one to survive Kaller? How does he navigate a new universe while figuring out how to care for a kid?

Guys I had another Bad Batch dream. Crosshair was rescued and he looked amazing all decked out in new armor and what not. He said Omegaâs name and hugged her too.
I hope this means something
