I'm going to take a little break from the dash. I got some bad news on Friday that's led to a low mood that's been threatening to bleed into things a little more than I'd like in spite of my best attempts. I'll be back when I'm feeling a little more steady.

there is something so crazy and powerful about having art of your oc that was made by anyone other than yourself. like oh my god you actually exist outside of my own brain that's WILD

Uhhh I don't usually do this but I'm stuck in a bit of a funk. If anyone sees this and feels like telling me something you like about my writing/characterization it'd mean a lot. Don't force it though <3

ever since i was a little girl i knew i wanted to sadomasochistically torture fictional characters

i love u characters who are victims who don't show things in a way that's appealing i love u characters whos trauma leaves them with anger issues, with violence issues, with issues with connection and trust and being truthful i love you characters who don't get "better" in a way that's palatable, who don't find growth and meaning in their trauma

”you can just make an oc” you dont understand anything. the character needs to mutate naturally until unrecognizable. like all evolutionary processes it takes time. you can’t force it or it doesn’t take. you must endure weird ooc thematically discordant versions of a guy until they bud off into beautiful new life. have patience
