You can loop the subliminal during the daytime, and you said you may not also listen to it a lot during daytime, that's okay, here's a solution:
Meditate for 20-15 mins while having the subliminal on since you won't listen to it during the day, go with your affirmations and find a place to sit and meditate, focus on the subliminal noise and ground yourself to imagine the subliminal going in, so yeah of course you can tweak some things.
i saw someone say that affirmations only work if you affirm from the state of someone who already has the desire, basically that it will only manifest if you believe in it. is that true?? can i be insecure and still affirm/manifest what i want??

No, robotic affirming is affirming without a care and giving no emotions, which goes on the opposite of what you're saying, because you're feeding the affirmations with negativity, I mean, it sounds hard at first, but affirm until it feels natural if you're still insecure.
hi!! i just wanna say that today i lucid dreamed TWICE, and both was related to my dr.
in the first one i even thought i shifted bc i was in different room, so i started to scream like "FUCK FUCK SHIT I DID IT" but then when i did a reality check i had like 4 fingers</3 tried to make a portal tho but it didn't work.
the second one was right after that, i was looking for my dr mom. when i saw her, we hugged. she asked me if i was ok and then i started crying and said "i wanna go home". i know she understood what i meant and she lead me to my room (that wasnt my dr room btw). she said that it would be better if i try to go in another place, like the school's dorm. so i went there but forgot to do the portal and went to another dream (that wasnt lucid).
here's the thing: i was trying to shift last night, but got distracted while counting (smt that happens ALL the time. i know that this is the state where is better to affirm but its hard not to fall asleep). it was like "1... 2... 3... 4... augdh disandg * random words *" and i fell asleep.
everyday i wake up around 4 am to use the bathroom, so today it wasn't different. but when i went to the bed again, i said to myself "im gonna shift". started counting until 100 and trying to feel my dr room again. then, i fell asleep and had those lucid dreams.
i saw some people talking abt waking up in the middle of the night to try to shift, because we're in a great state (hypnopompic ig??). but, that happens to me naturally and every single day (but i wake up to use the bathroom, idk if it changes smt abt that state). how can i use this in my advantage?

I actually said still body DOES NOT MEAN you're in the void, but it is A WAY of entering the void, so yep, you can still your body and lower it's movements, distract yourself from sleeping and watch your body take over.
And for the "how" long part? Your assumptions, I usually think it'll take me 4 minutes and that exactly how much it takes me, if you believe it'll take you an hour, then it'll be an hour.

my first actual attempt to shift was back in 2021, i didnt know anything abt the void state. at that time, i thought u could bring stuff from ur dr (i know.)
WELL, when i was doing the method, at some point i started to not feel my bed. eventually, i felt like I was floating in space. like it wasnt enough, i was also feeling my body spinning around ...
suddenly, flashlights started to appear right in front of my eyes. my eyelids started to shake. those symptoms were getting "worse" as i was counting down angrily. i was really excited, so I started to scream the affirmations in my head.
short-long-story, my neighbor punched the wall and i got scared. didnt shift.
since then, I wasnt able to feel that kind of stuff again. normally, i just sleep (MAKES ME SO MAAAD).
so, during 2023 and 2024 i took a pause from shifting. now, im back and with a toootallyy different mindset.
lately, everytime that i listen to a guided meditation, i can feel that im the state akin to sleep. i just stop feeling my bed and it looks like total blackness. its different to when u close ur eyes, y know? it feels like i have my eyes wide open in a dark room. but it feels very hard for me to keep trying to shift before i listen to the meditation, i just suddenly fall asleep.
the question is: was i in the void back in 2021? was i shifting? was it just my body falling asleep ?? do u have any tips abt those things ?? π°

So, back in 2021, it sounds like you were very close to the Void State. Feeling like you were floating, losing sensation of your bed, and the flashes you experienced are all signs of entering a deep state of awareness. The spinning sensation and excitement likely disrupted you from fully entering, but you were definitely close. The Void is about losing your physical senses and existing purely as consciousness, so you were on the right track, AND YE I ALSO FEELT THAT WHEN U HAVE UR EYES WIDE AWAKE IN A DARK ROOM, THAT'S THE VOID FOR ME.
As for now, it sounds like you're entering the state akin to sleep, which is great progress! But falling asleep before shifting is a common issue for a lot of people. Try focusing more on staying present in that blackness before the sleepiness kicks in β donβt rush, donβt force, just trust youβre getting there.
Some tips:
Stay neutral and calm before starting β excitement or impatience can keep you from entering. Let go of the need to control it, and simply allow yourself to drift.
When youβre in that dark space, remain aware of it. Try not to βchaseβ the Void but let it come to you naturally. Gentle, slow breaths can help too β no forcing, just letting go.
Use affirmations or a mantra, but in a relaxed, non-urgent way. No pressure to make them work right away.
And to answer your question: It sounds like you were very close in 2021, and now youβre even closer! Just keep the mindset shift of relaxing into it instead of pushing for it, and youβll definitely get there.

many people like to do their void routine RIGHT after waking up without any distractions, that actually is a very good method and it raises your chances by a 80 percentage of being able to actually enter the void.
(everyone can, this just helps you to quickly skip the steps since you're already in the hypnopompic state)
(hypnopompic state is not the same as hypnagogic state, the hypnagogic state is before you sleep, hypnopompic state is after you wake up, and both have the same effects IF YOU DON'T MOVE.)
this state when you wake up is actually a gold mine as much as Hypnagogic state is, but the tricky part? Not to move when you wake up βπ»
How to remember to stay awake when you wake up? Actually remind yourself and practice.
It takes one or two sleep sessions to physically remember, before falling asleep, tell yourself "I am not going to move when I wake up" or just "I'll be still when I wake up" and be in a position that is not easy to move in, like for ex, on your back.
This was actually a viral method many entered from someone who deactivated from here years ago, actually best if it's a nap too.

and then i didn't care much ab it and just laid down to sleep again, and just rn i went back to the memory and it clicked.
