“what’s your writing process” i put a pathetic guy in a blender and blend blend blend
Hello. How are you ? I'm marriane what's your name and where are you from ?
Hi, I'm alright, I'm from America, and my name's Luke. 👍
We’ve all done it.
You need to get them a size bigger. Female body shapes are different then men, meaning you will carry more fat or muscle in the thighs, which also means that they will probs roll up and it's uncomfortable. You can try your normal size if they're too big, but if they are rolling up, getting a bigger size is okay and it's nothing to do with your weight, it's just the difference in body shapes (which doesn't make you less of a man.)
Severus and Harry, I'm not debating this.
Was scrolling through AO3 and found this gem
Enemy to parent is a trope we have to popularise lmao
Everyone always talks about imagining scenes and not being able to write them, but have you ever had the opposite happen? Cause it's literally me 24/7.
I'll be in the mood to write, having a general idea of what I want, and I can't stop writing, but I also can't keep thinking of things. The last time this happened, I didn't stop for 2 whole days, didn't sleep. Wrote while writing, wrote while crying, literally all day, but I just kept rewriting cause I physically couldn't think of other scenes.
Severitus where Harry is deeply hurt/affected by Severus' strict/old-fashioned/etc parenting styles.
Severus is always portrayed as strict, sometimes bordering on straight up abusive, but then because he's better than the Dursleys, readers and authors alike tend to agree that it's okay. (IF THAT'S WHAT YOU LIKE, THAT'S FINE SO LONG AS THERE'S A DISCLAIMER.)
But arguably, most often, his tactics are rather harsh. Maybe he's firm on the whole open door policies, or washing mouths out with soap, I've seen a lot with spanking as well, but there's never any after effect, so make there be one.
Oh, he washed his mouth out with soap? Now he's scared to talk.
Spanked? He doesn't see the difference, frankly I don't either, though, so I don't have much to offer here.
No door policy? He feels watched.
Whatever you decide, there should be a point of realization that this is harmful. However that decided though differs.
Make Harry write an essay about Scary Things, and instead of writing about something normal, he writes about how he's terrified of messing up.
Maybe Severus discovers a diary.
Or, and something that I find worked with their personalities, is a massive fight. Harry messed up, and now Severus is threatening whatever, and Harry loses it. "I want to go back to the Dursleys, because at least I know they're cruel, with you it's a mix up."
It's so angsty, om nom nom nom.
Baby Harry, like 1-3 MAYBE 4. Point is, he's really young, Voldemort isn't back, and Severus had been tasked with watching over him. He constantly says he hates watching over the baby, says he doesn't want to at all, says he feels nothing for the boy.
Of course, being a spy, he has to attend death eater meetings. Per say one of the members found out about Harry, and now to "prove his loyalty" he has to bring him in. He thinks it's going to be fine, maybe a couple of harsh words, but nothing bad.
He's mistaken (of course) and has to watch as Harry is mistreated. Up to you to decide HOW mistreated. Maybe it's a couple of slaps, I prefer crucio.
Extra angst if Severus is 'invited' to join, and has to harm Harry.
"Live your best life!! No regrets, every day to the fullest!!! 💕💕" Okay Jessica, I'll do that when my parents stop throwing chairs at each other!
