It's good and cool to give your characters a single simple, straightforward, non-urgent, super-achievable goal that shouldn't really cost anything or hurt anyone, make that the driving factor for most of their decisions, and then have the Plot do everything in its power to stop them.

Not only that but there not even an implication this was in any way dealt with. There is no conclusion to this story for Jason. We get a little "what you did was wrong" but
Bruce completely bulldozers over with more justifications, not even sorry about it, at all.
So as far as I can tell, Jason's still walking around getting spikes of fear with every burst of adrenaline.
