If you had told Danny that joining the justice league would mean getting up at the ass crack of dawn to go to some stupid meeting, he never would have joined. Well that not fully true but he might have agreed to have a Zata tube installed in Amity. Even with how much he hates those things it still seems like a better idea now that he is flying through space trying to catch up with this stupid satellite. He was already late thanks to Skulker, which means he missed his perfectly times window to catch the watchtower in orbit so now heās here playing catch up.
He didnāt even bother to slow down from his Mach 20 pace when he reached it. Just turned intangible and shot through the window into the meeting room. He was expecting to get scolded for being late. Or for his dramatic entrance but he was not expecting the other members to not notice him at all on account of them arguing.
Taking the golden opportunity to get out of a scolding, (he did not want to be the victim of another bat glare) he kept heās mouth shut and floated down to Hal. Who seemed to be sulking off to the side of the fight. āDude, whatās gonna on?ā
āBatman,ā the name was spat like a curse. āHad plans on how to take us all out.ā Hal waved to the screen before him, inviting Danny to look.
āReally?ā He floated to the screen, seeing files with each leaguerās name. After a moment of hesitation, he clicked on his own.
āYeah! Can you fucking believe this?ā Hal growled out. āHe planned on how to kill us all and is now acting like weāre the unreasonable ones.ā Danny would normally be shaken by Halās anger. The guy so rarely got truly anger that it startled Danny every time. In that moment however he couldnāt bring his attention way from the screen. It was a decent plan. Risky, unlikely to work but decent. The fact Batman did this at all though. āYou think you know a guy, right? Phantom?ā Hal asked when he saw the ghost wasnāt responding to him.
Before he could continue his questioning Phantom shot off across the room. All leaguers that could keep up with the ghost speed braces from a fight when they saw him heading straight for Batman. They were anger with him yeah but they didnāt want him dead. They all knew Phantom was physically capable of doing that and had only seen him fly this fast in battle.
Their concern turned to confusion however when Danny stopped dead still just before the dark knight. Looking the man over before reaching to the side, Dannyās hand disappearing into a green vortex that appeared out of thin air. When he pulled back, a small metal box, no bigger than a watch box, laid in his hand as he presented it to Batman.
āThis is a blood blossom.ā The soft words cut through the tense silence. āIt is one of, no it is the only thing that can kill me. For good.ā Batman looked at the box, then at the boy. Determination sat on his brows despite the tired sadness that coloured his eyes. āIf Iā¦ā His eyes broke away from the white lenses. āIf I go bad. Please. I understand you donāt want to kill. So please, give this to someone who will kill me.ā
No one moved for a moment as they processed the request. Emotions shifting wildly in them all. Supermanās landing on anger. āWhy would you give him that?!ā He stepped forward. āHe already plans to kill us all why would you give him that?!ā
āBecause Iāve seen that future.ā The conference was stated plainly. Melancholy waiting down on the boy as he turn to the others. āThe realms are different than here.ā His trembled. āTime works differently. You can walk into tomorrow and run into yesterday. Every possibly future exists within the realms.ā
He scanned each heroes face as his voice harden. āIāve seen what happens. I know what happens if I turn.ā Danny took a deep breath as he met supermanās eyes. Gazing at him with eyes that saw more than what was in front of him. āI killed you first Clark.ā It was stated as fact. Non of them could bring themselves to doubt him. āThen Diana. Then Hal. One by one each one of you were killed⦠by me.ā
His breath came out frosted, his emotions making it hard to keep from freezing the watchtower as he turned back to Batman. āYou survived the longest. Out of everyone here you got the closest to stopping me. In that reality however, you didnāt know about ghost. Didnāt know how to fight me.ā He held out the box again. āPlease, I canāt let that future happen.ā
Everyone was stunned. Watching in silent shock as the horror of what Phantom said sunk in. Batman recovers quickest, slowly reaching out to grab that box which he now identified as being made of lead.
āThank you Phantom.ā There was more to those words than what it may appear. A silent reassess that the ghost picked up on.

The Master Post
72 hours:
During a battle with the rest of the league, John Constantine has been accidentally sent into the palace of Pariah Dark, Tyrant of the Dead, and Bane of the Living.
Danny just wanted to have a simple spa day.
Part one, Part two(to be written).
Danny and Danielle are sitting on opposite ends of a room full of people, with the only exit being the middle of a 10-foot high ceiling.
The Gotham rogue who captured them is getting increasingly irritated that their trap to move the walls closer isn't working while the Bats are getting closer.
I have done a brief yandere Damian post in the past, it is now time for the next best boy.
Yandere! Tim x Danny
Tim loved watching the sun setting over the skyline of the city buildings. He loved watching the reds, the purples and blues blending until finally the night encased Gotham entirely.
He loved watching the hurried steps of strangers as they maneuvered around packed crowds through worn streets. Or small groups slipping through dirty alleys where clinging shadows whisked them away to disappear into the ever-present smog of Gotham.
He loved pacing across rooftops, quiet feet leading him from ledge to ledge so that he could peer over the edge and see the world from above.
From that point of view he could see everything and anything, the same as he had done when he was younger and chasing a man dressed as a bat and a boy adorned in reds and yellows rushed through the air with gleeful laughter.
Even now as a vigilante, named as Red Robin, the results were the same.
Tim loved people watching.
And Tim loved watching Danny the most.
Danny was different from Gotham and its people.
He was softer and warmer ā a flame that crackled and flickered amongst the coldness and wariness of this city that Tim has known all his life.
Danny with skin as pale as moonlight, whose touch was as soft as a feather kiss because all he had ever known were cruel hands and tight grips. Danny with eyes filled to the brim with stars of beautiful blue that shimmered with delight, because he had never been taught to wrap himself up in masks and placid words just to get by. Danny with a smile that barely pulled up on sharp fangs because Danny always felt guilty when people would flinch at the sight of his too animalistic teeth.
Danny, Danny, Danny, Danny Danny DannyDannyDannydannydannydanny ā
Tim loved watching Danny as much as he loved Danny himself.
The boy whose heart beat unsteadily, and whose heart ceased functioning when black hair turned white.
This is who he loved.
And Tim hated nothing more than when the things he loved were hurt.
Danny didnāt understand.
He was different.
He was soft.
He was damaged.
He didnāt understand the harm that came with a heart that still pumped blood in sluggish and tired bursts. He didnāt understand the harm that came when his heart fell abruptly still, cold and empty as blue eyes turned green and black hair turned white.
He did not understand the harm that came with pale skin bruised by larger hands, both young and old.
Danny didnāt understand how much harm truly came upon him from the threats within this world. Threats that not only existed in his rogues, but by ordinary, simple humans.
The harm that can exist from fellow students, from neighbors, from the GIW, and his fucking p a r e ā
Danny didnāt understand.
He was different.
He was soft.
Even when physical abuse and emotional abuse littered across Dannyās flesh and sensitive ears like poison on open wounds. Even when he became Phantom, a lost soul on the brink between living and dead, who tried so hard to protect.
Even for people who didnāt deserve it.
Tim had never known someone as stubborn as Danny.
But Tim loved that about him too.
Tim loved the sheer determination to be good. To be kind⦠.
It was heroic. It was Danny.
And just as Tim had done, once upon a time when dogging the steps of Batman whose mourning bled into violence, Tim did what he had to.
He did what he had to.
Tim, Timmy, his little brother in all but blood, bleeding from his ears and eyes and nose, burned so severely his skin is peeling off, actually turns to look at him.
Freezes.
"Shit. No one's supposed to see this." Tim says, and Dick lurches forward to do...something. He doesn't know what, for all his first-aid training doesn't know how he can help when there's this much damage, but he has to do something.
But Tim disappears, like he was never there.
Or; On a ghosts death day, they gain the appearance they had at death. This includes the injuries. Danny spends his death day very far away from home, since it actually makes his human form look like he got electrocuted to death by untold voltage and mass dosages of radiation, and he really doesn't want his mom and dad to see that, even if they're cool with the half-ghost thing. Problem; apparently he's a dead ringer for someone Nightwing knows, and he just mentally scarred Valerie's favorite hero. Fuck.
Why would Clockwork de-age Danny and then just leave him in Gotham for Batman to steal? No, he'd raise that boy himself. Fuck letting others get their grubby mitts on his new son. He wants to make sure he doesn't turn evil like Dan and this is the only way he knows it will work 100%.
That is until someone summons the ancient of time and gets a baby because the portal was a little to the left.
Now Clockwork is sending ghosts to go retrieve the boy since he can't leave the realms.
I have an idea for a Merlin fic but life is chaos so I cannot write it:
So for whatever reason Arthur is away (probably visiting some Lord or Nobel House) and Merlin stays behind (who knows why).
Uthers manservant is ill so he requests Merlin (after all heās the crown princeās manservant he should be good enough for the king).
Merlin is now stuck as Uthers servant for a week and I really want to see Merlin try to wake the King up with ārise and shine!! :Dā
He talks too much and is entirely too familiar with the King, taking liberties and speaking out of turn, mentioning Arthur by name and not title, is always late with lunch but somehowā¦
Uther finds him fascinating. He knows Merlin is completely loyal to Arthur (he said so himself in the show). He understands Merlin hears castle gossip like most staff, but he is actually able to understand the significance behind the rumours. Merlin is also trusted by the knights and has insight into the lords and ladies of the court. He sees things, he hears things. Uther can use this
As a physician in training, he is able to treat Uthers old knee injury, and he is clearly learned. He can read and write better than some of the noblemen heās met. One day Uther enters his chambers and finds Merlin bent over the desk looking over the grain reports ādid you notice Lord Chester had been underreporting his grain storage for three years and is selling it under the table to a foreign king?ā
Merlin is a terrible manservantā¦but Uthers clothing had never been cleaner, his armour so polished, his bathwater so hot and his notes so organised. Merlin is continuously late and covered in mud or moss, but somehow Uther finds he doesnāt mind as long as Merlin keeps feeding him important castle gossip.
Arthur gets Merlin back at the end of the week, and Merlin can finally breathe (heās been a nervous wreck for the last seven days). Uthers servant recovers and the King has a functional servant again as is befitting his station.
But Uther is now willing to overlook some of Merlinās ā¦ridiculousness and familiarity with Arthurā¦after all, heās realised Merlin does have some uses, even though heās always late with breakfast.
Scenes like this:
āYouāre the clumsiest excuse for a servant Iāve ever met!ā
āYes, Arthur says I have the elegance of a newborn lambā
āWhy is there a twig in your hair? Itās unbefitting of your station as servant of the Kingā
āI fell asleep in a ditch, anyways have you heard Lady Carteret has been seen buying hemlock at the apothecary? Iām sure Lord Carteret is soon to be missing, poor sodā
āCan you never bring me my breakfast on time?!ā
āSorry Sire, the poison tester died this morning after drinking your tea, so I had to brew it myself, and weāre in need of a new poison tester. And in totally unrelated news Lord Milder was seen fleeing the castleā
āRise and shine!! The sun is up and you should be too!ā
āIs this really how you wake your King? And where the hell is my breakfast!ā
āWell Arthur usually throws a pillow at me even though itās my job to wake him in the morning - that lazy arse!ā
To be honest. DCxDP where the reason Danny meets the bats is Ace the Bat-hound
Like, just think about it for a second. Danny is in Gotham for college, or maybe he just moved out to find a city where having mad scientist parents isnāt actually that unusual.
He can see ghosts.
The ghosts know this.
Now heās getting harassed left and right by spirits trying to get closure. Fine, whatever, most of them are a one-and-done type deal, and the amount of ghosts trying to get his help steadily decreases.
Except for this one very stubborn dog.
It just keeps showing up and leading him to crime scenes! He doesnāt know how many āanonymous tipsā he can call in to the cops before they trace his phone! And this dog, this incredibly good boy, will not stop trying to help the city. Heās never met anyone with such a strong sense of justice, let alone a dog. Can dogs even have a moral compass?
And so Danny just accepts the fact that Ace isnāt going anywhere and becomes his reluctant sidekick/dedicated medium. He leans into the whole thing, dressing up in a mix of traditional magic-user attire and accessories that pay homage to the ghost dog.
He becomes somewhat well known. The psychopomp detective following around the shadowy figure of a German Shepard? Thatās unusual! Thatās weird! I mean, itās not the weirdest thing in Gotham, sure, but heās a new vigilante and heās got a ghost dog that people can only see when itās around him. Someoneās gonna notice.
Damian, as Robin, is the first to reach out to him.
Ace doesnāt know Damian but he does know a Robin, and while this isnāt his Robin, heās still friendlier than usual. Dannyās panicking because oh god the bats are here and also is this kid gonna steal my ghost dog, Damian is absolutely delighted by Ace, and Ace is just happy to see a Robin again.
Damian decides that the psychopomp isnāt a danger to anyone, and thereās no reason to put this encounter into his reports, really, and perhaps Danny can help with some of his cases in the future.
Danny is sweating bullets because Damian basically tells him that heāll keep him secret as long as he gets to play with Ace. Ace is happy that heās finally getting some bat affiliated crime-fighting assistance.
And so, Danny is now both Ace AND Damianās reluctant assistant. At least whenever heās in trouble, he can always call a middle schooler to help him.
(Is Robin even in school? Heās out patrolling damn near every night, and he stays out late as hell. Does he have a bedtime? He should.)
Eventually it gets to the point where Damian is going over to Dannyās house. When he first sees it, he has a damn bitch you live like this moment, to which Danny responds that not everyone has the money to afford a nice place. Damian counters that he could at least take the time to clean up, and Danny replies that heās working, going to school, and being a vigilante assistant to a ghost dog, somethingās got to give.
Danny nearly has a heart attack when he checks his bank account the next day and sees that someone transferred him 10,000 dollars.
And so they get into a routine. Danny and Damian fight crime with Ace at night, and occasionally Damian stops by during the day to play with Ace and have Danny help with his homework.
(Damian is smart enough to do it on his own, but some of the instructions are written incredibly confusingly, and he would never admit to needing help to his family. Danny is just glad that the kid is in school and cares about his education, blissfully unaware that heās basically emotionally adopted him.)
Damian is used to being in Dannyās company.
Eventually, when going over a case with the family, Damian absentmindedly remarks that heāll have to ask Danny about some of the clues that they might be missing. Nightwing asks who he means and Damian makes a face like he just swallowed a lemon.
Cue shitstorm.
Who is āDanny?ā Why is Damian willing to ask for help from anyone, much less someone outside of the family? Does he know who Damian is? Has Damian been compromised? What the hell is going on?
Damian now has to explain that Danny is the psychopomp with the ghost dog who he might have met hunted down while on patrol and conveniently not mentioned, but heās not a bad person, really, and he lets him play with Ace, and heās been quite helpful on certain cases due to his ability to talk to ghosts.
Bruce insists that the family meet Danny. Damian, hoping that he wonāt just skip town the second he hears the news, relents.
Danny is surprisingly eager to meet the bats, considering his earlier fears.
Damian, blissfully unaware of whatās coming, sets a time and place to meet.
Once everyone is there, he gives Bruce the earful of a lifetime.
Robin is in middle school! Danny knows that thereās no way to stop the boy from going on patrol, but you could at least shift his schedule so he gets enough sleep on school nights! Does the Bat even know where he is half the time?! (No) And why isnāt he comfortable asking his family for help with both cases and homework? Did they ever even notice how much time he was spending at Dannyās house? If Danny was a bad person, he could have seriously hurt the poor boy! Shame on you!
Nightwing is mortified that Damian didnāt trust him enough to tell him about any of this. Red Hood is laughing his ass off, because yeah Danny is making good points but heās also chewing out the literal Batman. Tim is recording the whole thing. Steph is delighted by the absolute gall of this Danger Twinkā¢ļø, and already planning to add him to several groupchats. Damian is more embarrassed than heās ever been in his entire life.
You, he points to Nightwing, did your academic life feel supported when you were a Robin? Nightwing is too stunned to speak. Red Hood, eternal shit-stirrer, says that oh, we all prioritized patrol over our education, thatās just how it is. Red Robin actually dropped out of high school to avoid distractions, did you know that?
Danny honest-to-god shrieks at this.
He finishes his angry rant and leaves, everyone too stunned to stop him.
And as it turns out, Tim wasnāt the only person recording the whole thing.
The entire internet is blowing up with Psychopomp The Danger Twinkā¢ļøās rant. People are taking sides. Things are getting messy. Red Hood literally admitting on-camera to previously being a Robin is somehow not the main focus here.
Eventually someone connects some dots from the video, as well as stories circling the internet about the psychopomp. A ghost dog named Ace, who is the literal only reason that the psychopomp is fighting crime at all, which seems incredibly fond of Nightwing and Robin.
A crime-fighting dog who wants constant attention from both the current and original Robin.
Oh my god, Ace the Bat-hound died and became a crime-fighting ghost.
And, somehow, thatās still not the strangest thing going on in Gotham.
When Danny won the title of Ghost King, he wasnāt expecting some of his more ghostly attributes to seep over into his human form.
Or to be unable to control his powers like at all for a month or two after gaining his new title.
Heās still 14-15 though and has to be in Highschool to make sure his grades donāt fall any further. Even if he did just save the town with only his piers in his grade know about him.
Itās no surprise when he accidentally walks through a door after trying to open it only to find himself intangible or to start floating away with no way to control it and need one of his classmates to save him from floating into the stratosphere.
Itās all fine for a while, people help him. Those who used to bully him now lend a hand when he needs it. They arenāt kind about it but they arenāt shoving him into lockers anymore.
But that doesnāt last.
People start to notice the strange things that keep happening as his powers grow and become harder and harder to hide even with help. He had made an entire class take place on the ceiling one day. Another he made half the town float.
The Fenton parents and the GIW start working together to figure it out. Itās only a matter of time if no one does anything
So what is Danny, his friends and his class going to do to hide the real reason of whatās going on?
They pretend to be a cult. Full on cartoonishly cult like. The chanting, the robes, the sneaking out to an old building on the edge of town to have a ritual kind of cult. Playing off Dannyās fluctuating powers as the results of their work.
This gets the opposition to back off a bit. Not their circus not their monkeys. And the rituals release some of Dannyās pent up power.
Danny just had to lay in a circle, surrounded by the faces of friends and classmates while they chant and his powers gets released a little at a time.
Itās a great deal.
Until Danny is found out one day unable to use the cult as an excuse and has to bounce out of town. And the rest of his Casper High Class, ever committed to the bit, follow him since the GIW and the Fentons are laying waste to the town and itās just not safe.
Where do they go?
To the Crime Capital of the world of course!
Gotham is the perfect place to continue the bit. Their ācultā runs all the way to Gotham, looking out for one another and the such. Not because they care about each other, of course.
They all tell themselves that but thereās only so much chanting in ghost speak and Latin a frenemy relationship can take.
They are tight knit by time they settle in a collection of old buildings on the edge of Gotham. Dannyās powers are starting to settle, but he still has bad days. Those days the cult gathers and āperforms a ritualā but really they just have a little get together, sitting in a big room set up with a circle with Danny laying and meditating in the middle and chat in Latin or Ghost speak.
For the bit, they preform a fake ritual. Headed by Sam since she has all the knowledge on what cults do. For the bit, the give offerings to Danny in exchange for him protecting them both back in Amity and in Gotham. For the bit, they make it a monthly thing or as needed.
Sure Danny doesnāt realize heās given each of his friends and classmates blessing from a literal King of Gods and Beings Beyond Human Comprehension.
It was for the bit.
What wasnāt for the bit was getting caught by the local furries.
Danny hadnāt had a ritual in a month, his powers were building up but he was stressed with work and school.
His cult of friends decided he needed a ritual and pseudo-kidnap him to sacrifice his own power to himself.
Donāt ask them, it just works.
Mid āritualā Danny is trapped in the circle while they keep his powers contained as itās released. He could destroy the building if he so much as blinks. They are nearly through with it. Can return to the party after theyāre done and heās ānormalā again.
So when the Bat and Co. crash the ritual, right before the end. Danny canāt do anything while his classmates both defend him, each other, and those trying to finish the ritual.
Itās looking bad but the ritual finishes. Danny is freed from the circle and starts helping his friends defend themselves and escape. Of course, he knows what this looks like. And he knows that the Bats and Birds are just trying to keep their own city safe from a perceived threat.
So he apologizes to them while he takes down the Bats and Birds then absconds with his Cult&Co. hoping they would understand. No one was hurt and there was no loss on either side. Alls well ends well?
To the Bats and Birds.
They find a group of robed cultists that established themselves quickly and then they see the cult gather, having a party until another group come in dragging Adoption Bait behind them. They start the ritual. Bats and Co. think kid is getting sacrificed and step in. Only to be nearly fought off and the ritual to complete.
They then have to watch as some entity controls the kids body to fight them off. The kid looks terrified, apologizing while he is forced to fight for the cult.
Then they all get away.
(I have the flu, have this lil idea/drabble while I try not to die)
