guys, i hope you understand that calling mithrun "grandpa" is ableist. i know some people do this because they relate to him, i truly understand that, as someone who's 30 and feels very old sometimes. but this is not a type of joke that should be common in the fandom, repeated at every corner. about physically disabled guy who doesn't even count as "middle aged".

Hi! I was wondering if you knew any stores which sell hanfu in natural fabrics, as well as support independent businesses? I’d like to buy a set and some accessories but the places that I have found are mostly on wish and amazon and I’d rather not buy from unethical business.

There are a lots on Taobao, where most hanfu shops are - I am not sure what is your budget, what style you are looking for, or how long you are willing to wait for the production. Do you do silk? Or cotton only?

@ziseviolet has a masterlist on buying hanfu, but that list of brand is definitely not conclusive. We both tagged our shops in our post or at least leave the name of the shop in the description. If you see something you like you could check out the store (although most of the time that particular sets would be sold out).

"Flourished Peony" (《国色芳华》) is a really cool Chinese drama that dives deep into the Tang Dynasty. It takes a close look at the fashion, makeup, and etiquette of that time. The show’s team did a ton of research, to restore Tang Dynasty artifacts to get the hanfu and makeup just right. You can really see the effort they put into making everything look authentic and true to the era.

If you're into Tang Dynasty Hanfu,Makeup , or the whole vibe of that period, I highly recommend watching this drama. It's a great way to get a glimpse of ancient Chinese culture through a really well-done romantic drama. ---------------
