What I imagined if Marshall Lee and Gumball swapped species: Marshall Lee would still be a candy prince, and Gumball would be the vampire king. Royal boys wow

I think Candy Prince Marshall Lee would be pretty calmer and less chaotic than his Vampire-Demon self, kinda like Human Marshall Lee from the canon spinoff but fancier. Not being raised in hell sure does wonders to a person.

But even though he's not a troublemaker, people would be quick to assume he's doing sketchy stuff behind closed doors... And they're right but that's not the point. He'd have this unusual aura around him, which causes people to have mixed feelings about him.

I like to think he'd still have a vampire-like appearance, always dressing in black, shaping his ears and teeth to look more pointed and sharp… His kingdom would look different too. I'm thinking that he'd have something like living candy statues of Gargoyles perched over the walls of his kingdom instead of Gumball Guardians. People might get freaked out because at first glance they wouldn't know that the statues can move and then suddenly there's Gargoyles flying around their houses at night, and now they feel like they're being observed. I think Marshall would be the type to mess with stuff he shouldn't too, such as dark magic and whatnot. He's a little prince of darkness.

He's also made of marshmallow. Strawberry marshmallow.

Unlike Gumball, he “bleeds” when he gets hurt, like a strawberry jelly. You can't really tell if it's just his filling or if it's actually blood, because chances are that it's both mixed together. Sometimes the dark arts require fresh blood to be successful, and that's his way of solving it.

As for Vampire Gumball, I actually haven't put a lot of thought into him yet, so my interpretation is still a concept up to changes (⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠)

When I think of him, I imagine a lonely and depressed king who fell from his glory after having his court and minion armies decimated. That kinda sounds like an embodiment of PG’s fears mmmmm

I think he would be less sweet than his usual self. He used to be a more authoritarian and rigid king, he doesn't tolerate reckless behavior, so sit your ass down and only seek for blood when you're actually hungry, not just because you can (he's looking at you, The Star /hj). He probably values discreet work when hunting more than outwardly imposing fear and power, for the sake of surviving longer. Some vampires don't take him as seriously as they should because of this lack of total freedom. This does not mean that he does not assert authority, however. He will smack you upside down the head if you disrespect him.

He would still have some of his original traits despite everything. He can't create life like PG can, but maybe he's still connected to it somehow. Maybe he spends more time studying humans than he kills them, paralleling PG being a nerd lol. Maybe he's kinda like the VK and likes to be around animals too, and has a fatherly streak in him.

He wasn't staked when the vampires were persecuted and no one has any idea where he is now.

Not sure how it would be if Candy Prince Marshall and Vampire King Gumball met. The vampire era would've automatically made them stand on opposite sides, with Marshall Lee looking for Gumball's footsteps and Gumball trying to stay under his radar and manage his bloodthirsty armies at the same time.

But let's say they meet when Gumball is already a fallen king and isn't as big of a threat. Marshall would try to become "allies" with him, keeping him around in case Marshall needs him and having some sort of symbiotic relationship with him, with the occasional borderline flirting on Marshall's part.

I guess Gumball wouldn't be too fond of Marshall's connection to magic and would be sketchy of his sweet-talk, at the same time he'd have a bit of a soft spot for him. “Sometimes I feel like I would have loved to have you in my court”, he might say to him.

Ooooooo I was just thinking about their story together! I think I still have some tweaks to do with my own interpretation of them but I have some ideas.

I believe they met when The Candy Kingdom was giving its baby steps, maybe as a simple candy village or something, and Marshall Lee just stumbled across it one day. Marshall never did anything to actively harm it, but he didn't interact with anyone there, he was probably interested in something else, like the founde- I mean, the food there.

I think the candy citizens would be terrified seeing a dark shadow passing back and forth rapidly near their houses and stealing their candy, and he'd become some kind of boogeyman or the chupacabra to them lmfao (I like to think that some older candy citizens would still use his "legend" to scare the younger ones and make them behave)

They kinda start off on the wrong foot in this too, sorry anon 🙏 But it's just because Gumball now wants to catch this candy stealer and help his poor citizens have a peaceful night of sleep for once after weeks, and gets incredibly frustrated on the way. He finds a way, though. Either by setting a trap to catch Marshall Lee himself when he's shapeshifting, or by catching something else that unintentionally lures him... like a zombie cat who keeps showing up at the crime scene. (Or both too, I guess that works.)

Okay so now Marshall is mad (picture a small bat fuming that he has to be in a cage), his cat is mad, and Gumball is freaked out by the fact that there was a zombie cat wandering around his village and he didn't even realize it, potentially putting his citizens in risk of infection (Schwabelle wouldn't infect anyone tho, she's a good kitty), so now what? This nerd is going to study them, ofc. Especially Marshall Lee once Gumball finds out he's a vampire.

Vampires are practically extinct since Marshall Lee also became a vampire hunter in this universe, but I believe that the people who managed to survive their attack long enough also managed to leave behind records about them, stating their habits, their abilities and whatnot.

I know that, due to canon events, this would probably be out of character in insane levels but,, , I like to think that Gumball would be thrilled to have met Marshall simply because he's a vampire. He's read the records and would've liked to study more about the vampires (both out of interest and because he'd try to figure out the most effective ways to take them down but that's for another day-). The only reason he stayed was because Gumball offered him food and somewhere to stay during the day so he wouldn't burn to death, and because Gumball wouldn't give his cat back until he was sure she wasn't dangerous. If she was safe, he'd give her back and Marshall Lee could do whatever he wanted after they were done.

Marshall Lee would be thrown off by all that because first of all, stranger danger, and second of all, what the fuck.

Marshall Lee was more suspicious of Gumball than Gumball was of him. Gumball just kept asking questions about his vampirism and studying his physiology. Stuff like checking his abnormally low temperature and slow pulse, examining his shapeshifting, reading the records all over again and playing checklist to see how many different skills Marshall Lee could score... It was weirdly amusing for Marshall to see Gumball so fascinated over things that had become normal to him.

I think they would start bonding once they find out they're both immortal, and they'd cling to each other because of it. Gumball would listen to Marshall Lee's stories and Marshall Lee would listen to Gumball's. He was still a little weirdo to Marshall, but a weirdo who's passionate about his interests and managed to create living sentient people out of food, that was impressive. Gumball thought of him as one of a kind. No pun intended. Maybe.

If so, do you have headcanons (no spoilers from your AU) about Gumball's family?

It's Father's Day here in Brazil, you couldn't have chosen a better timing to ask me that lololol

I know you said no spoilers from my AU but the headcanon in question that I had in mind *is* a spoiler so- (⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠) We're rambling about Gumball today, and i'm bringing my own OCs into this again, I hope you don't mind. I did some art :D

My version of Gumball does have a family, it's just,, , a bit of a complicated topic to him.

The candy people are already like his children, I guess he'd refer to them as “one big family” often, though there might be different opinions depending on who you ask. Some of them actually see him as a father figure, others as simply as their prince… I think there’s still a certain emotional distance that prevents them from calling each other a “real family”, so to speak.

Gumball still has Neddy/Nelly in my version, but she's his older sister in this. She's still a big gum dragon who needs Gumball's patience and support, though. The difference is that they didn't come out of the Mother Gum together, only Nelly did. She's the only close relative he has right now.

Gumball's backstory in this is the opposite of PB’s, so instead of coming out of the Mother Gum, he's a family member created to fill a void in his creator's heart instead. He’s a lab baby, 🎉 SURPRISE! 🎉

This is where the OC talk comes in, because I decided to create an oc to be his creator/technically parent/the other older sibling I mentioned in a different hc list about Gumball.

Meet Dulcine, this one tired gum thing who probably has coffee mugs with quotes like "don't talk to me until I finish this cup" somewhere. They also came out of the Mother Gum, and they're kinda like PB if things had gone south. And things went really SOUR-th. Get it? Hahahsgetjhhahahahshdsfs

“I want a little brother”, they said. “I'll get to have someone who's similar to me and test what I can and can't do in my lab at the same time!”, THEY SAID.

And, well, Dulcine does love Gumball to some extent, but they can be pretty mean sometimes, as they didn't have the patience required to raise a child. Or to manage having a lab with sketchy projects in it and a curious, clingy kid at the same time. Dulcine also started to test said sketchy stuff on him at one point... Needless to say that they're not really in Gumball's life anymore.

Ironically, Gumball was able to develop an interest in science and how to create people using candy later in life, despite his bad experiences. And he took over Dulcine's lab.

What's the point of being so uptight if it only costs a vampire licking your face for you to lose your composure

I don't have a headcanon list this time, just a big ramble about what I think happened to them based on the crumbs from the How To Warrior book and my made up sources 🫴

I think Marshall Lee was a huge mama's boy as a kid, he was her evil little baby who'd torture demons left and right just to make her proud, and her constant encouragement of his cruelty made him strive to be an evil lord just like her.

But as Marshall got older, he started to get annoyed because it was the only thing she talked about with him, perhaps? And also something about wanting independence and questioning parental authority when you reach the teenage years mmmmmmm something like that.

His mother kept pushing her own agenda on him, and he was starting to reject it because he wanted to do his own thing, already creating conflict and some distance between them. I imagine Marshall Lee also started sneaking out of the Nightosphere after that. He wanted to see the world beyond rivers of blood and screaming demons. He was bored and annoyed enough at his mother's demands, and needed time for himself. And he was already somewhat familiar with Ooo because his mother took him there during his early childhood, if she got suspicious, he could just say he was burning someone's crops and poisoning their water, I dunno

Howeveeeer... I think that on one of those outings he got into some big trouble, like being turned into a vampire and simply not telling his mother, while she began to question why he was getting paler/grayer(??) and not eating anything other than demon's blood... Like, okay, that part wouldn't bother her so much (in fact, she would think he was doing it like the good old days) but I think at one point she'd be like "Why don't you eat the food I make for you with all my love and evil anymore, what's up >_>"

This probably triggered a big argument between them, they were both really frustrated with each other, and they literally live in hell, you can't expect these people to deal with conflict in a healthy way. Marshall Lee just decided to leave, he didn't want to deal with any of this anymore and he was spending more time in Ooo anyway. His mom didn't stop him.

I think Marshall Lee would be more spiteful so they still have a strange and awkward relationship. She can act as "friendly" as she wants, he won't budge. Also I don't think he would find out that she purposely distanced him from his father to try to mold him into the next lord of the Nightosphere. At first. Maybe. If he did, that would destroy the little relationship they still had.

I haven't thought much about a meeting between her and Gumball, but I think she'd pull a Hunson and a "So this is your boyfriend huh >_> Can you still have kids with him tho <_<" kind of scenario would happen in this universe too

Like yes mother he can but can you not talk about it like he's not in the room YOU JUST MET HIM-

I don't think his mom would be homophobic before anyone wonders, but she'd at least question what was going through her son's head because Gumball is, at first glance, the complete opposite of Marshall.

Not only that but I think that Marshall Lee would've gone through a phase in his life where he wanted nothing to do with love and relationships because he's an "oh so evil demon and he'd be making a fool of himself if he ever thought about getting into someone's affections just like that" (which may or may not have resurfaced for a while after two awful breakups), but then he shows up with a boyfriend and he's really clingy to him... Y'know that scene from Deadpool 2 that's like "I'm just surprised anyone would date you, especially Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony"? That's it 😭

I wonder what Prince Gumball's biggest fear would be?

There's an episode (Five short tables I think) where it shows that he's afraid of dying alone/his own mortality to some extent. I imagine that because he's long-lived and most likely has watched many people die before him, he's scared that there won't be anyone else by *his* side when it's his turn. There's no way of knowing when or how, he wouldn't be ready for it, so that's probably double scarier for him. He's an anxious fella

Headcanons about Flame Prince × Fionna?

Surprisingly I don't have as many headcanons about them compared to my other hc lists uhhhhhhhhhhhhh but I doodled a little something of them since it's been a while. I still like them, I swear 🥹

1- Flame Prince fell first, Fionna had a mental dilemma for a while because they're just friends… but he's cute… but he's literally a fire hazard and that would make things complicated… but she likes his attention/attempts of affection… but this is potentially dangerous… BUT DANGER IS HER MIDDLE NA-

2- They learn about that flame shield spell and Flame Prince always makes a point of kissing her somewhere when he's the one casting it. Fionna was flustered at first, now she gets all giddy and always expects him to do it.

3- Both Fionna and FP feel their fair share of jealousy buuuuuut I think Flame Prince is more prone to it, imagine your girl being able to greet and hug all her friends but you, and every time she does, it causes her a lot of pain. It messes with his self-esteem, and he can get distant if he feels too hopeless about their relationship.

4- Fionna's favorite part of him are his pointy ears. She likes to pet them whenever she can and keeps staring at them just to see them move, one little ear flick and she's already smiling like an idiot. She thinks they're really cute. Flame Prince also has a thing with her ears but it's the bunny ears of her hat, he probably thought she wasn't human the first time they met and that she had actual bunny ears under her hat. She doesn't (sadly), but that's not stopping him from calling her "bunny" from time to time.

5- They sometimes go on adventures together. At first Fionna was hesitant because she wouldn't be able to pull FP out of danger with her hands alone, and she could also get turned into roast if he got carried away with his powers, but she feels safer inviting him to tag along after a while, if she thinks that he'd fit the task.

6- Flame Prince keeps touching her metal leg, because it's the only part of her that's considerably fire-resistant (and Fionna-resistant in general). He just rests his hand there until he has to pull away because the metal started to feel too hot on her skin. Neither of these dorks paid attention to Gumball's science classes.

7- They have many pairs of fire-proof gloves just so they can hold hands and do stuff together. (Gumball may or may not be involved with creating these gloves because then he gets to test which materials are more efficient, just in case)

Aww thank you! Honestly FP is such a tricky character for me to draw, i'm glad you like it 😭

There's so little information about this guy it's crazy, i'm just pulling stuff out of my magic hat for this one.

1- Different backstories, you know the drill. Instead of being locked away inside a lantern, he was successfully abandoned by the Flame Queen. He was left somewhere that didn't have much to set on fire, consequently leaving no traces to be found, like a desert, perhaps. Eventually he found his way out and started wandering around the land.

2- He likes to make tiny glass statues with sand. It's one of the few nice things he can do when he's a walking fire.

3- Hear me out on Brazilian Flame Prince okay it's the last time I'll shove my Brazilian hcs on you I promise- /j Anyway the reason for this one is that Flame Prince looked like the Curupira at the beginning of Natasha Allegri’s F&C comic and I found it funny enough to make it into a headcanon. I have other reasons, such as:

» Almost making him a Maned Wolf in Jackalope Fionna's AU (he's a Will-o'-the-wisp now but the thought is still there), and Maned Wolves are considered a symbol here in Brazil.

» Another folklore reference: If Fionna's magical word had an Elementals Arc, I imagined him becoming a fire snake thing like the Boitatá instead of a salamander dragon.

» The vibes told me.

4- I don't think he has a canon birth date, so I hc that his birthday is on August 22,, , Yes, it's because it's Folklore Day here in Brazil are you seeing the pattern yet

That would also make him a Leo. And he has lions. Get it? (⁠☞ﾟ⁠ヮﾟ⁠)⁠☞

5- He's bisexual and just as unaware as Fionna. But in his defense, he wasn't taught how being gay works.

6- He likes popcorn. Not that he can eat it, he just likes to see it pop.

7- He's more water resistant. Of course, you can't throw him in a swimming pool and expect him to survive, but he seemingly can handle light rain for a while. I think he'd be so stubborn about it oml you'd tell him a million times not to go out while it's raining and he's like "It's just a drizzle let me go >:(", until his body starts giving out near the end and he needs some dry wood to recover. Just get the damn umbrella, fire boy.

8- Biggest cat person you'll know. Cats will sit around him because he's warm and he'll refuse to move. I think his human self would have many cats in his house to reference the fire kittens he has.

9- His interactions with Fionna made me so sad in the comic, the way he immediately tried to hug her when he regained consciousness oughjsuwhs That boy has never received physical affection in his life and when he finally gets it, he somehow manages to lose it again i'm not okay,, , He'd be so clingy if he ever found out about that Flame Shield spell.

10- I hc that he's trans. I've been thinking about how (biological) gender would work for fire elementals because, well... they're fire. Does fire have gender? No idea. Yet they still use gendered terms like daughter, princess, King (though Flame Princess calls herself "King"), etc... So in my mind, it's more a matter of how they're raised according to the parent's preferences and not biology. Flame Prince could've been raised to be a daughter and princess before being abandoned, but went the other direction later on after being surrounded mainly by princes, being referred to as a prince and being assumed he's a guy. He's just okay with it and wouldn't change anything, does that make sense-

At first I didn't have the intention to make him trans, but it just sounds trans so- He's trans, yippie!

11- One thing I never understood in the Fionna and Cake comic is that it says Cake made Flame Prince's outfit… but how the hell did she manage to make unburnable clothes for a fire elemental and so fast too. Right now I'm thinking that she just showed him a sketch for an outfit and he shaped his fire into “clothes”, I don't know. That's where half of his wardrobe comes from.

12- Would gasoline be the equivalent of an energy drink to him? Because I'm starting to think it would. He can drink gasoline.

13- I'm still thinking about what his actual name would be,, , Phoebus sounds okay, but I also like others like Phoenix or Felix. Apollo is also on my suggestion list, since the god himself is associated with light and music, and it fits him considering FP is also a DJ. One day I'll have that figured out.

I think this is all I have for now! Now stay with this thing because I'm still losing my mind over it

In Fionna and Cake Gary calls his pastry little guys "pastrymeschen", and "meschen" basically means humans/people in German, so I guess yeah, he could be German. People already headcanon (though I think it's somewhat canon) that PB is German&Korean and apply it to Gumball/Gary as well, me included, and that's where this general consensus come from.

Headcanons about Fionna?

WUETRWEIGSEUJE MY GIRL 😭💖

Okay so Fionna headcanons/AU stuff:

1- She has different bunny hats for different occasions. She just has to be wearing those bunny ears at all times and you cannot stop her.

2- Brazilian Fionna. That's it. That's the headcanon. She's even got the flag colors COME ON /j

3- I've mentioned this on the Gumball hc list but I'll mention here again, she's a young adult in the design I draw her. She's like 21 years old, I aged her down mainly because we all got the impression that she was in her 20’s so why not.

4- She has bandaged hands because of how much she uses her sword and punches things. She *could* wear some gloves but,, , She thinks bandages make her look cooler.

5- Fionna is not really a book person, and especially hates having to read big books to write a review or an essay, because then it requires double of her attention. Not only does she struggle focusing on these big walls of texts, but she also struggles picturing in her head what they're describing. This has greatly impacted her self-esteem because she thinks she's too dumb for books. She prefers to read comics and watch movies instead.

6- Fionna is bi, but was painfully oblivious about it. I'm pretty sure that the torn painting of a blonde lady Finn has in the treehouse isn't genderbent for Fionna, so let's say that Fionna got it from somewhere and kept it because she thought the art was pretty. Well, turns out that wasn't the only reason why she liked a painting of a s u p p o s e d l y naked girl so much.

7- Fionna is also asexual, and also very unaware. You ask her how she feels about some things and she just awkwardly goes “Mmmmm I don't knoooow…”.

8- She's got some questionable survival instincts. What (somewhat) makes up for it is the fact that she can crack the floor with someone's head.

9- If she had to pick a favorite kingdom, she'd either pick the Breakfast Kingdom or the Candy Kingdom, because good food. (She doesn't tell Gumball that he has competition.) Her least favorite kingdom is the Fire Kingdom, everything is too hot for her poor human body.

10- Her favorite music genre is anime openings, I fear. (I think she'd also like a weird mix of pop, rock and flute music since she plays it herself but okay.)

11- Queen of the “why do I have to take a bath today? I didn't get dirty or anything” logic.

I've seen a headcanon where Marshall lived with both his father and mother, and he was frowned upon in both worlds.

For my AU/headcanon, i'm still keeping the human/demon parents for Marshall, but of course, with some differences. He spent most of his childhood and teenage years with his mom, but he still saw his dad a couple times as a baby when they visited Ooo. He doesn't remember much about him as an adult, though.

They gradually stopped visiting Ooo as Marshall Lee grew older and became more excited to command the Nightosphere, just like his mom. She played a huge part in separating him from Ooo, and consequently, his father, so that he'd focus on leading her evil forces and whatnot.

I don't think the demons would know that he's half-human because I highly doubt his mom would give such details to them, of all people. The demons just saw him as their next commander, so there's not much to say about them ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

His dad is dead in this too.

Well... we have the headcanons about Gumball and Marshall, could you tell us your headcanons about Gumlee (it's my favorite ship, I love them so much!)

Ofc! 🫶

1- I'll start off with their height difference, the spin-off made me love Gumball/Gary being taller than Marshall. (My hc for Marshall Lee is like 6’0. I don't think I mentioned that on his headcanons list hghshshsjue)

2- As for their story together, I think that Marshall Lee would've caught feelings first, but because they were still just friends at the time + Gumball being arospec and only developing feelings later + denial, he didn't say anything about it. Still, they were pretty affectionate with each other, resulting in multiple questions if they were dating. I think that's worth like,, , half a millennium together.

3- That's pretty much canon at this point but I love the thought of Gumball always making extra red or pink food for Marshall Lee. The equivalent of this in the human world would be Marshall Lee being a bit of a picky eater and Gary having his preferences in mind when he's cooking for both of them. He might also ask if he wants to try one thing or another.

4- Gumball has the habit of checking Marshall Lee's temperature when they're cuddling or when they're somewhere warmer. I've said this before in another ask post but Marshall can't produce or maintain body heat properly, so he tends to stay closer to things that emanate heat. It won't make him feel as warm as a normal person would, but it helps a little. Gumball has to put his hand on Marshall's face or neck to check how warm he is at least once, not for study reasons, but because he just likes to do that.

5- Meanwhile, Marshall Lee likes to put his ice cold hands on him at random just to startle him.

6- Still on the temperature thing, Gumball doesn't mind being touchy with him, especially during the summer, despite Marshall Lee being practically an ice rock, but.. sometimes, it's preferable that Marshall is fully covered and has a blanket 😭

7- Kinda nsfw, but they're switches. Gumball tops more often though, I said what I said.

8- They sometimes use nicknames for each other, of course. Gumball calls him Mars or "Schnucki", I looked it up and apparently it means "Schmoopy" in German, and then I found out that there is such a thing as a "Schmoopy couple". They're not as obnoxious as the definition says when it comes to PDA, though. Marshall Lee calls him anything that has to do with candy, but he'll especially call him Bubba, Bubbaloo or Bubs. He might call him Gary too as a nickname, Gumball's name is different in this. His full name is Gareth Victor Gumball, and "Gareth" just makes Marshall giggle.

9- Obligatory clothes sharing headcanon. To this day they keep a few of each other's shirts.

10- Marshall Lee already bit Gumball once, at his request, to see if he would turn into a vampire. He didn't. Now he keeps biting him to show affection.

11- Okay so from what I've seen, it's incorrect to refer to a prince as "Your Majesty", since that's how you should refer to a King or Queen. You should say "Your Highness" when referring to a prince/princess. My headcanon is that there's some correlation between Marshall Lee purposely using the wrong title when they're exes, the fact that he technically outranks Gumball as The Vampire King and that he's petty. I don't know how to elaborate it but the thought is there 🫴

12- Between Gumball and Marshall Lee, Marshall is the most protective of them and he's more prone to jealousy. It's easy to tell when he's jealous, because he'll instantly hold onto Gumball and stare until the person leaves. I think Gumball would get sarcastic when he's jealous.

Marshall Lee headcanons then:

1- His backstory is also slightly different from Marceline's. I really like the idea of him being raised in the Nightosphere with his mom, only visiting Ooo once in a while, and then permanently moving there for a freer life. I got that concept from the How To Warrior book! Baby Marshall was such a menace, I love him.

2- AU stuff but he and Fionna are roommates! The treehouse belongs to him, similar to how Marceline used to own it in Adventure Time, except he actually keeps it and lives there with Fionna and Cake. He moved his stuff to an attic that he was supposed to turn into a studio and made it his bedroom-house of sorts, he still comes out to have meals together and hangout. Schwabelle is also there, stealing Fionna's lunch every other day.

3- Speaking of Schwabelle, Marshall Lee adopted her as a kitten, and he was also the one who got her reanimated when she first passed away. He's unhealthily attached to that cat and WILL throw hands for her. Needless to say that he's a cat person.

4- He's Demisexual. I actually posted that on Twitter a while ago but not here uhhhh sorry then, he's one of us aces 🫶

5- He can't eat normal food because of his vampirism, it makes him feel nauseous and throw up. Normally he doesn't give a fuck, or he fills his food with red dye, he can still taste his meals even just by sucking out the color. He also drinks blood from time to time, because only drinking the red off things doesn't give him enough nutrients and it messes with his powers.

6- He's got a big sweet tooth. His favorite flavor is strawberry, and he also likes to drink maple syrup.

7- He often plays as a solo musician but I like to think that he's also in a band with a couple friends (said friends being ocs of mine but shhhh).

8- He can purr when he shapeshifts to his bat form (both small and huge), and he tends to get more cuddly as a bat. He curls into a ball like a cat does.

9- He hates getting sick, just the fact that he's still able to get sick even though he has healing powers pisses him off enough, but he also hates doctors and taking medicine. He spends like 2-3 days dying until he heals, or until someone drags him to a doctor.

10- He didn't inherit many demonic abilities from his mother, other than her soul sucking, but one that he did inherit is that he's able to move his body in a strange way, like Hunson does. He likes to scare people by rapidly turning his head back in 180°, which makes a nasty crack sound. Yes, he already pranked people by pretending to be dead with this amazing talent.

11- He watches a lot of vampire movies, he can go from tragic romances to the Rated-R ones. It's a personal interest of his that he doesn't share with anyone.

12- He can't get piercings or tattoos because of his healing powers, so he resorts to fake ones. If he could get a real piercing though, he'd get a tongue one.

13- He doesn't have a reflection in mirrors, so to be able to cut his hair and put on some dramatic makeup for concerts, he either trusts the process or gets a friend to help him. In addition to that, he often practices his makeup skills on Fionna's face, because she's closer and he likes to mess with her.

14- He likes to customize his own clothes, he knows how to sew and he has a lot of paint in his room for that. He also likes to draw posters for himself. He's pretty artsy.

Sometimes I imagine little Fionna meeting Prince Gumball and mistaking him for a human.

I mean, he looks a lot like a human (if he wasn't completely pink).

For you, what makes him different from a human, apart from the fact that he is a pink guy?

Well, first of all, the fact that he's made of candy and is alive and thriving despite not having bones or human internal organs. He can heal(?) his own wounds just by molding some gum around, and he has a really long lifespan, which makes him technically immortal, unless you throw him in acid or something. The way he was born and how he ages is different too. I think he would go through some changes like growing taller and losing baby teeth during childhood, but then his body stops changing at some point and his appearance remains the same from then on, so he has to make changes himself if he wants to.

He's always smelling like sugar too. Always. No amount of perfume can do that.
