Do you think Hunter, Wrecker, Echo and Crosshair ever think about how the first mission given to the them by the empire was to kill Saw and they didn't because they knew it was wrong and valued human life, only for Saw to not see their lives the same and be fine with Tech being his collateral damage?

I bet Tech created a group chat with the rest of the squad and Phee, and that’s the moment when Hunter and Wrecker knew something was up

Tech made the excuse of it being a good idea “because she may have more work opportunities for us in the future, and has proven to be a reliable ally” and “Omega seems to have taken a liking to her, and it would benefit her to stay in touch with her friends across the galaxy when possible” but Hunter and Wrecker just glanced at each other and smirked a little bit and then Tech spent the next forty five minutes trying to prevent Wrecker from sending “hey Phee, Tech thinks you’re pretty” into the group chat

Shep: you know what the best thing about being a father is? Getting to teach your kid the most important life lessons, and watch them use them.

Tech: oh yes, absolutely. I will never forget the deep feeling of pride I felt the first time I saw Omega correctly splice into an Imperial database. Or the joy of watching her re-wire her first bomb. And of course, watching her become more accurate with her laser bow has been a privilege. She is truly a formidable opponent. Not to mention her skills with stealth and reconnaissance, or her growing aptitude as a pilot and mechanic.

Shep: well I really meant like, friendship and integrity

Tech: oh. Well, that too.

Echo’s First Moments with TBB, Part 4

*the whole room is dark and silent, Echo is fast asleep*

*all of a sudden Echo feels something touching his leg*

Echo: *bolts upright, sees Tech measuring his prosthetic legs* AHHH TECH WHAT ARE YOU DOING

Tech: *adjusts goggles* oh, Echo, I apologize for waking you. I simply had a stroke of inspiration on modifications to make to your legs and required some precise measurements.

Echo: modifications?

Tech: yes. *begins pulling blueprints out and laying them on the bed* I’ve had several ideas tonight, but I think this one is my favorite.

Echo: that’s great, Tech, but honestly I’m really happy with—wait, are those rocket boots??

No literally that conversation would have been pure gold. Wrecker is completely exaggerating the romance, Omega is all giggly, Hunter is trying to be mature and keep things under control, and Crosshair is just floored

we were absolutely robbed of this followup moment:

Phee: Any friend of Brown Eyes [Tech] is a friend of mine.

Phee: [turns around and starts heading for her ship]

Crosshair: [turns his head to Hunter with the most confused look ever on his face]

Crosshair: [mouthing silently to Hunter] "Brown Eyes" ???

The Bad Batch’s favorite underrated movies when they were cadets:

Tech: Atlantis, because let’s be honest, he totally daydreamed about discovering and saving a lost civilization as an eight year old

Wrecker: The Iron Giant. Innocent yet emotionally intelligent kid, giant super strong robot, explosions—that movie is so Wrecker coded, except he definitely cries at the end and the rest of the batch has to be up all night consoling him (“the whole point is that the robot LIVES, Wrecker” “b-b-but they never see him again…”)

Crosshair: Treasure Planet. Like can we all agree that deep down inside, Crosshair is just a Jim Hawkins, aka angsty teenage boy that needs some Love and Attention. Except he would rather die than admit why that movie resonates with him

Hunter: Brother Bear. Mountains and wilderness?? Check. Brothers?? Check. Bears?? Check. 8 year old Hunter literally just wants to be a bear

I think the whole pregnancy would be a mix of feels for all of them, but then once that baby is born??? Wrecker is that baby’s best friend, they play together and he feeds it and changes diapers and takes it on walks. Crosshair is the sweetest uncle, so so tender, and even though he would rather die than admit it, he definitely smiles anytime he holds the baby and loooooves when it falls asleep on him. And Hunter would of course be thrilled, and protective, and he is as ruthless in taking care of the baby as he was in getting Omega back from Tantiss.

BONUS: Echo keeps a picture of the baby in his shuttle :)

For some reason I was looking at couples’ maternity photos (I have no idea why since I don’t really want kids), and I was thinking about what if Tech and Phee had kids? And then I was thinking which sibling would be the most emotional when Tech and Phee announce the pregnancy?

I literally loved this so much. Like watching it you could just see how much Hunter trusted her to handle the situation—something Crosshair didn’t know to have faith in quite yet, because he hadn’t been around as long, but Hunter has watched her grow and he’s trained her and he knows she knows. Zero doubt whatsoever. That’s HIS kid.

I just noticed during a rewatch of the Bad Batch finale….

after the binders were shot by Crosshair (yeah buddy)- Omega knew to hit the deck so Hunter and Crosshair could keep firing at Hemlock.

It’s a small detail that for me really brought together those moments of Omega saying to the kids “I’ve been trained for this.” - and Hunter saying to Crosshair “She knows what to do, Crosshair. Wait for her…then take the shot” after she taps Hemlock’s arm to signal them.

I can’t stop crying about how much they’ve learned from one another. My head is filling with all the “off camera” training sessions her brothers put her through so she’d learn the plans and know exactly what to do in any situation. I love them so much 😭

I just KNOW that Crosshair and Tech were the most chaotic duo back on Kamino. Tech is literally terrifying. He’s the most intelligent and the most practical, yet the man watched two (2) illegal high speed races and was like “eh yeah I could beat that system” and then DID. His unhingedness is a CHOICE. Combine that with Crosshair, who hated your guts before the Kaminoans even bred them in a tube, who picked three (3) physical fights with his COs in a four-episode arc, and you know they got up to the most chaotic shenanigans together as cadets. Poor Hunter has probably been trying to keep them out of prison since they could walk
