Instead of headcannon, I’m going to write a short fic on Louis x Reader since, that way, it would be much easier for me, also instead of Sherlock Holmes younger sister, I have also added Mycroft.

Loius James Moriarty X Holmes younger sister Reader

She happens to be a part of the government.

A part of her dislike what she witnesses and yet she knew it’s what she needed to do as she has been the one who had decided to walk such a path.

It’s also because of her two brothers whom she loves that made her steps through muddy waters.

One characteristic that’s apparent throughout the ages in their bloodline is their stubbornness and that appears to have been passed down to her and let just say because of her stubborn curiosity on why her brother, Mycroft, became the government and the role that was passed down in their family, led her in learning the darkest sin that they have to shoulder.

Of course, knowing this sin didn’t come without a price, upon learning what she has uncovered, her brother, Mycroft, came to her with such restrained fury.

She has long known her older brother’s reaction going to be because of how the gentlemen in their family care so much for her however as she face her dear older brother, she only smiled and calmly negotiated a deal.

A one-sided deal, to which her brother has no choice but to agree with discontentment, a deal in which she would help him manage the government to pay the price in knowing the empire’s secret, that or she would need to die.

Maybe because of how much her brother loves her or the female in their family are more stubborn, she knows, no matter how scary Mycroft can be, she can calmly go up against her smart and stoic brother.

Hence, to this day, she has been a part of the government and the reason why she happens to come upon another secret and let say, an open secret she would start carrying from now on.

She has learned that small kittens appeared to have also learned the sin as she watched quietly where her brother makes an agreement with the Moriarty and a woman.

She observes them one by one before one of them catches her eyes, making her carefully look at him before, slowly, a thirst for something began sprouting inside her just like the thirst she have in wanting to learn their family sin.

Dazed, she almost missed her brother call for her. That’s was when she knew her little mischief have been discovered.

Stepping out, she introduces herself, quickly chided her brother from hiding this meeting from her before he could scold her and yet with a sigh and a frown on his face, her brother still scolded her at her wayward action.

Tilting her head, she could only response that its runs in the family and this wayward action of hers would also be done by her other older brother, Sherlock, and would come to know of their sin.

With a twitch, the younger Moriarty, named Louis, seems annoyed at the mention of her second brother as a scowl appeared on his face, uttering with disdain that if it comes to that ‘guy’, he will do it for sure.

This took her attention, looking at him, wondering just what her brother did again to make this cold gentleman be provoked.

Crossing her arms and tapping her lips with a fingered glove, a small grin appeared on her lips before taking a step closer in one bold move, making the man startled and having him take a small step back.

Seeing such a cute expression, she couldn’t resist the temptation that took over her. Taking her glove off, she lift her hand, slowly, brushing his hair away and with a gentle touch, she cares his scar.

“I knew that the Moriarty did adopt two orphans in the past. One, sadly, died while the other survived with a scar but...”

At the mention of their past, Louis tense while his brothers look at her sharply. If she knew the looks the Moriarty’s gave her, she didn’t show it as she kept stroking his scar tenderly, continuing what she want to say.

“I didn’t know that I would find myself thinking how handsome you are.”

Silence

Louis mind blank at such audacious statement, the woman in front of him, said before slowly a small tinge of red spread across his cheeks. In a flustered state, he lifted his arm to cover his face, thinking the woman is nothing but strange.

His brother, William, cough covering his earlier astonishment, smiling with his other brother Albert for some reason before saving his brother by stating how daring Miss Holmes.

The woman in front of him just chuckled at William saying she’s only telling the truth. Vex, Louis retorted that she’s the same as her brother, both are shameless.

The woman just laugh, her eyes crinkling with pleasure.

Stepping away from him, she turn around to stand beside her brother before facing the three Moriarty and to Miss Irene, apologizing that she’s stalling them from doing their next moves and wishing them safely.

Her brother, who has been silent this whole time, could only grimace at her before bidding them farewell, so does the two older Moriarty and Miss Irene while Louis glowered at her just like her brother.

She only look at him with amusement and smiled, curtseys at him as he left with his brothers, glowering and yet the small blush on his cheeks remained.

With just the two of them finally left alone, her brother ask just what she did.

Taking one last look at the door, she only close her eyes, smiling before she, too, started walking out of the room.

“Dear brother, I believe you and Sherly have to prepare a wedding gift in the near future.”

“.......huh?”

“I swear, the men in my family can be slow at times.”

Sorry for the long wait. I hope it is to your liking. Since Louis isn’t one on my radar and with so little information about his personality, it hard for me to write him. So I hope he didn’t come out OCC.

I was planning to post this earlier but wifi we’re sharing with a friend have trouble and isn’t letting us use the internet for some reason, we have to order our own and install it the reason why it’s late but in the end we’re happy now that we have our own wifi which is much faster lol.

Thats is because bakugou knows that what he did is horrible and a simple sorry wont cut it. That is why in the flashback where he started cooperating to deku's training is the start of giving back before he gather enough courage to completely say sorry once he know its time and everything is corrected. It like when people hate it that someone bullied them for so long that it traumatize them that when the bullies just say sorry without anything else, just leave them unsatisfied.

Personal experience here. Where my bullies just say sorry but that just left a bitter taste on my mouth. Thinking that they bullied me because they are insecure then they just say sorry and act like nothing happen. That just wrong so the way bakugou where he cant say sorry and ask for forgiveness is because he know he cant just put it that way as he know everything he did so far is unforgivable and there is no excuse.

And most people know that bakugou's character isnt one for words. He is one where he will do it the right way even if its hard.

Person from previous ask, you are me. It literally wouldn't matter to me whether Bakugou actually apologized with; "I am sorry for everything, Deku." THE BURNING FEELING OF DISLIKE TO BAKUGOU WILL NEVER WITHER. I love Izuku with all my heart and there's always a part of me just wanting to jump from the other side of the screen to protect him from it all. Izuku deserves better, and Bakugou is not better. I just can't like because of the way he rubbed me the wrong way so much. There is just a part in my brain that cannot forgive him, verbally abusing Izuku and telling him to commit the sewerslide makes me want to zip his lips permanently. I even literally saw someone defend Bakugou's abuse to Izuku by saying; "Bakugou was born in an abusive household and he's getting character development." SINCE WHEN WAS HE BORN IN AN ABUSIVE HOUSEHOLD?? WHAT?? He got hit in the head one time people in a form of disipline to SHUT UP because he was being LOUD. AND PLEASE, the charatcer development it taking too long and too little is seen, and we're nearing 300 chapters.

I’m in agreement with you when you stated that people defend Bakugo’s abuse to Izuku when he gets “abused” at home i.e. by his mother. Not saying that hitting your kid is the answer, but a simple smack to the back of the head to the child is nothing, especially when your child acts like Katsuki. 

I don’t think it is abuse and you can blame that on the narrative/writing of the story. It is shown in a well-lit comedic fashion with music to match. It wasn’t taking itself seriously, nor was Horikoshi when he made Mitsuki a female version of her son, from blonde hair and red eyes down to the hothead personality, just because the spats between the mother and son seems funny??? 

The anime/manga has already shown what serious domestic abuse looks like in the form of the Todoroki household with Shouto’s flashbacks which were taken 100% SERIOUSLY with no confusion to the audience, so it’s not like Horikoshi or the other people working on BNHA doesn’t know how to portray it.

And a lot of those Bakugo-stans who use this lame ass excuse of him being abused by his mother doesn’t work because Mitsuki criticized and smacked Katsuki on the back of the head 3 times practically in a row IN FRONT OF TWO PRO-HEROES SITTING ON HER COUCH.

If that moment was suppose to be taken seriously that the audience was suppose to interpret that as a serious issue, Horikoshi and Co. would’ve made the proper steps in doing so right then and there. But he didn’t, so that excuse doesn’t work.

Bakugou x Reader Silly Crush

Bakugou’s silly crush

I planned to just write a short fic but it ended becoming long. I hope you like it and that Bakugou isn’t that OOC. Request are open, just send me a message or in my ask box.

Bakugou Katsuki knew he’s fuck up, the moment he realised these goddamn feeling he have for her.

She’s only supposed to be an extra, nothing more than that.

An exchange student in their second year, who can even barely speak the language and yet the moment he underestimated her, she gave him a slap in the face of just who she can really be. Very different from how she had acted when she introduced herself. Unassuming and weak-looking that he dismissed her quickly, noting that she’s just another extra.

But that still didn’t stop him from foolishly challenging her, curious as to what she have in getting admitted in U.A.

In the end, it ended with a tie but the amount of bruised and aching in his body made him reluctant in acknowledging her.

Even though, he have learned his lesson to never underestimate his opponent, the second he relapsed she quickly made him realised it all over again. Her quirk was nothing but weak and yet the skills that she have made Bakugou secretly respect her... begrudgingly that is.

It frustrated him, resulting in him training harder after that battle.

Little by little, he started noticing her.

At first, it’s only a whim, she’d been sitting in her seat in their class, which was beside him, and quietly practising words under her breath but enough for him to hear before he rudely interrupted and pointed out how stupid it sounded, quickly giving the correct pronunciation of the word.

Surprise but not bothered by his rude attitude, she gave him a smile and a thank you before practising what he taught her.

Later on, Bakugou berated himself for what he did, thinking it was stupid and unnecessary before deciding that there won’t be a next time.

Unfortunately for him, there is.

The idiots that proclaim to be his squad ask him to be their tutor for the upcoming test.

Annoyingly following him everywhere until they provokingly ask if he just didn’t know how to teach to which he angrily bit into, adding that he could fucking teach them until they could recite the periodic table in their sleep before realising that he stupidly stepped into their trap.

Bakugou could only pitifully covered it by saying how stupid they are they even need him to tutor them for something so simple that even grade school can solve.

What he didn’t expect was her, though.

The idiots actually ask if she wanted to join and ask him to tutor her also since she’s not that good in Japanese literature.  

It did make him fluster, secretly.

Except for that one time; he doesn’t know how to interact with her at all, she’s always with that stupid Deku’s group and all the girls in Class A and B.

He could only curse those idiots under his breath, his ears turning slightly red.

There’s something about her that always made him uncomfortably warm, making him quite and jittery most of the time whenever she’s in the vicinity.  

The day for studying and teaching those morons came and through it all, Bakugou tried his hardest in keeping his composure whenever she’s asking questions or whenever she’s near, else those idiots will notice for sure.

Bakugou also made sure to treat her like how he treated those idiots except lesser than what he usually does.

From all the other subjects, her score on Japanese literature was only the lowest as its understandable, it’s not her first language and yet Bakugou can’t help but cackle at how mess up her pronunciations were nor the things she’s mistakenly spelled, making a lot of hilarious misunderstanding at times.

Such us public became pubic, sweet tea to sweat tea, and many other more.

The look on her faces whenever someone pointed it out was amusing to no end that Bakugou can’t help the small twitch in his lips whenever he remember them by the end of the day.

Study session soon became frequent after that.

At times, Bakugou would take the initiative to ‘casually’ ask her as if by coincidence or just forcibly joined her and thanks to that her grade slowly rose up to a slightly above average.

The study sessions might have been chaotic thanks to his idiotic friends but because of it, Bakugou notice how she slowly relax and mingled more with class 2-A.

At first, she’s been more polite and reserve but now she’s been participating in having fun and teasing their classmates, sharing jokes, advice on training, joining conversation and hangout with people.

Bakugou even end up being one of her target in teasing once with damn Pikachu and flat face when he’d been hit by a damn quirk named good face that makes him look like a shitty shoujo manga protagonist.

The nerve she has when she told him it’s was revenge for making fun of her for her pronunciations and misspelling back then.

By the end of it, Bakugou relentlessly chase her, small explosion igniting in his palms as he threatens her from further teasing him.

That still didn’t stop her until he stomp to his room, slamming his door angrily, to which their classmates heard throughout the building, and ignoring her for a whole day afterwards, did her teasing stop.

In the end, she offered buying him spicy foods to apologise and appease his temper.

Bakugou grudgingly accepted in the end after much begging from her to not ignore her and that it would never happen again. (Unfortunately, it wasn’t lol)

Well, on Bakugou’s side, it isn’t a bad deal. He not only could eat his favourite spicy foods but he could also hang out with just her.

A date

Or so he secretly told himself before denying the ridiculous notion.

Came weekend, with red tinted ears, Bakugou ‘grumpily’ went with her to have a spicy ramen and to a Chinese restaurant for a spicy mapu tofu.

Bakugou have to admit the foods were surprisingly delicious on his taste bud that day and it’s not because he’s with her. NOT AT ALL!

Her recent teasing did stop but later came a lot from his stupid friends after they’re so called hang out and once she’s out of earshot. Bakugou could only yelled at them to fuck off before turning around, heading for his room with a slight blush across his faces as he heard them cheering and whistle in the background.

The moment he did recognize and admit his crush was when he and his squad have been sitting around the living room of their dorm.

Pikachu and flat faces started talking about their type of woman before it started heading to their classmates in their group and in class B.

Bakugou could careless as he scrolled through his phone. It’s not long before his attention went back to his friends’ conversation when they mention her name.

His friends talked about how easy it was to hang out with her and how comfortable they were with her even though she just arrives not long ago.

Slightly agitated, Bakugou can’t help but slowly shift in his sit, still pretending to go through his phone as he listens.

But then it went on to discussing on how she does have the looks and yet they can’t help but feel that she’s one of the guys. Kaminari then joke that rather than being a girlfriend material, she might instead beat them in having a beautiful girlfriend.

The boys agreed and can’t help but think of how their female classmate can easily charm any of the U.A female students are. Thinking of those incidents, where many of the first year students always come in their class just to get a glimpse of their classmate and with how subconsciously suave she was.

They can’t help but admire and envy her and yet every time they mention how good of a flirt she was, their female classmate always have a confuse look on why she suddenly became a flirt, making her classmates sweat drop and feel worried for her.

Kaminari crossed his arm with a ‘serious’ look, nodding his head before bluntly stating that he might feel pity but their classmate might not have a boyfriend at all because of how popular she was with the same gender.

Not before long, a pillow slam hard in Kaminari’s face, making the poor guy fell backward from the sofa stool while others can’t help but gawked at Bakugou, who suddenly threw the pillow with an angry face.

“Fucking shitty Pikachu, you just have a shitty taste in woman.” Bakugou muttered menacingly.

If looks could kill, they’re sure their electric friend would have died from the looks that Bakugou’s giving him. No, scratch that their poor friend might die any second with how their explosive friend tempers is, they could only pray in their heart for his survival.

They notice the fondness their explosive friend have for their female classmate ever since however they stupidly made a bet to say what they did just now to see Bakugou’s reaction.

At first, they have been reluctant but they appeared to have been influence by Kaminari’s recklessness, who was the one who have started everything and yet when they saw how Bakugou reacted they unconsciously jump into the wagon.

They started teasing him.

“Bakugou, are you perhaps attracted to her?”

“HUH?” Their friend turned to them with the same menacing look and yet they still persisted.

“If not, then you wouldn’t have said what you just said.” They smirked,

”...”

They saw how their friend’s ear and face slowly got red before Bakugou averted his eyes that they hollered in amusement and cheering their blond friend.

Bakugou started shouting at them, his entire body shaking in embarrassment as he threatened them.

“You fucking extra, you better shu-“

“Oh? What going on in here?”

Hearing their female friend, Bakugou felt the dread he was about to be bombarded while his friends unable to stop the teasing smile from appearing on their face.

“Hear this, it seems Bakugou hav-“

Just as one of them opens their mouth, Bakugou beat them, “Fucking shut it. It’s nothing.”

He grumbled, not looking at her direction, his eyes looking at his friends with a threat but his friends just averted their eyes, the smirks still on their lips.

Their female classmate hums before remembering something, rummaging on a plastic bag they carried.

“Bakugou you like this snack with the spicy flavour right. You said you been looking for it. It just so happen that they started selling it. Here.”

Bakugou turned just in time to catch the snack they have bought for him and he saw that it’s really the snack that he have been craving at this time of the year. It’s one of his favourite and yet the company who produce it only sell them seasonally.

He has mentioned it once in passing when the two of them went to buy a snack in a convenience store and yet they remember it and have bought him. Just the thought of it made the tip of his ear and his cheeks blush again.

At the same time, their female classmate immediately bade them good night saying that their class exercise have made them tired and sleepy as they went to the elevator and straight to their room, missing the chance of seeing Bakugou flustered at their simple action.

Once the elevator door close, Bakugou idiotic friends all at once started cheering and whistling at Bakugou as he roared at them to fucking shut up. He's tempted to blast their fucking faces however the snack that he has received made him hesitate as he might accidentally burn it.

Bakugou could only walked back to his room after much suffering from his friends, grumbling as he close his door with a slam, laying in his bed and burying his face on his pillow as his ears and cheeks tint an unbelievable shade of red.

Reluctantly, Bakugou admitted that he might have a small crush on his female classmate as he stare at his desk, from the corner, his favourite snack lying under his desk lamp.

Jinwoo was a huge mommy's boy, that's for sure. But like any other son, he idolizes him to the point that he begs Il-hwan to take him out to his mini ship trips to which the old man humors the little boy and teaches him how to be a good sailor boy.

Il-hwan often took Jinwoo in his short trips, mostly just to let the boy be more physically active. After all, young boys oughta be active to grow into healthy and happy men.

Well... That was until Il-hwan lost sight of Jinwoo who wandered off into the island the little boy was accompanying him into to deliver some goods.

While poor Sung Il-hwan's heart was about to burst from his chest— His son meanwhile... Was busy getting heart eyes and butterflies fluttering in silly little tummy.

Jinwoo was your typical idiot child after all, he is reckless and wanders off despite his father's strict orders not to be 10 steps farther away from him.

He just got curious at the pretty little shimmering shells on the sand that seemingly created a path for him to follow.

So what does he do? Duh, he follows it.

As he does so, Jinwoo carefully picks up each shell so he can turn them into a cute little seashell necklace or crown for his baby sister who was just recently born. She's his little princess and he wants to make her as pretty as she possibly can because she is his baby angel.

While picking up the last shell, Jinwoo was startled and fell back when he heard a splash on the waters. He thought for sure that it is his father but instead he was met with a curious gaze peeking behind a moss-covered rock. The orbs were wide and beady, similar to his but more naive. Adorned on the stranger's head were several pearls acting like a glittering stars against the lovely wet strands.

Jinwoo had dropped all the precious seashells he had picked up, but was too distracted on your gaze that the sheepish boy cant help but fumble around on himself.

"E-erm..." Jinwoo speaks up, but soon panicked as he saw your frightened expression. "W-wait, no, no... Don't be scared! I won't hurt you, promise!"

He says, hurriedly lowering himself and then stretching his tiny palms out to you to show that he meant no harm.

Well, how could such bright and round grey eyes show hostility anyway?

So, you also started fumbling around, pushing yourself closer to the curious human and pressing his palms against yours.

Jinwoo seemed to have had his breath hitch when your skins had touched. He kept sputtering out nonesense, before his tiny little digits intertwined with your with his face red to the very tip of his ears.

"Pretty..." Jinwoo mumbles shyly.

It was an odd language to you, but somehow you could tell that this curious little human was very gentle.

And when you beamed, he grins right after.

Innocent and lovely smiles on both your precious faces.

Jinwoo tugs at your hand, leading you to the water so you two could play. He didn't seem to care at the fact that both of you are two different species. While he had legs that could walk and run, you had a lovely tail that you use to traverse the lovely oceans.

You showed Jinwoo the prettiest parts of the waters, while he in turn showed you some tricks he could do. From hopskotch to doing cartwheels and climbing trees just to see you beam as he swung upside down.

Your voice was soundless, and he understood that you did that to protect his ears. There were stories that a siren's voice can burst one's eardrums unless you are bonded to one.

Jinwoo didn't know how long he played with you, but he eventually became tired and just curiously stared into your pretty and dreamy orbs seemingly carved out of the milky way while your foreheads are pressed together.

He then feels a swirl in his heart, a faint, blue glow eminating from underneath the fabric of his shirt. The boy realizes the peculiar feeling, looking down at himself.

But weirdly enough, he wasn't a tad bit alarmed at the mystical sight.

Just as he was about to ask you— Il-hwan's panicked and booming voice echoed from the forest behind the both of you and it instantly scared you away.

Jinwoo helplessly watched you dive into the waters, instantly disappearing into the distant blue instantly.

As soon as Il-hwan sees his little boy, he immediately embraces a dumbfounded Jinwoo who was seemingly too frozen to say anything at all.

"Jinwoo, son, what has dad told—...." Il-hwan pauses, his words disappearing in his throat as he sees Jinwoo's tearful face.

"M-my siren"

"Siren?" Il-hwan scrunches his forehead.

"Dad, my siren!" Jinwoo yells, his face completely panicked as he starts to panic. "My siren, dad my siren! You have to get my siren back!"

"Jinwoo!..." Il-hwan's heart breaks at his son's wailing.

Jinwoo for one was never an insolent or needy child, he had always been good and obedient. Even a bit more closed off than most kids, he's a shy boy who never speaks much. But seeing the state of the poor child this distressed made Il-hwan's heart tremble with sadness.

All he could do was cradle the small boy who kept begging for him to find his dear siren.

Jinwoo could never really forget that day, no matter how hard he tried he couldn't. Not that he would want to anyway. It would be the same memory night after night.

The sight of that precious siren, how his father spent hours trying to console him a she had his mental breakdown about his precious little 'Friend'.

He would grow into a fine young man, too fine in fact.

The desire to meet you again burned in his heart like a flame dancing in the pits of hell.

Jinwoo wants to find you.

Jinwoo has to find you.

He needs to.

After all, he worked several years earning a reputation in the seas as a cruel tyrant. Not that he is really a villain, no, in fact— He was just passing by a bunch of bastards trying to hijack his ship— The ship he spent hundreds of golds on in order for him to pursuit your missing figure. The nitwits just couldn't sit down and shut up for once.

He spent all of his youth practicing and preparing, researching as much as he can about sirens.

Their habitats, their breeding routes, and their most known locations.

Jinwoo is not an idiot, he actually returned to the very spot he had met you in but found no signs of siren activity. Not even a path of seashells was laid out anywhere even as he circled the shore hundreds of times.

Frustrating? Yes.

But nothing was more frustrating than the fact that all these fucking hooligan pirates were trying to ruin his chances of finding your precious existence in these vast oceans.

He can't waste time playing petty mind games and bargaining.

Jinwoo's gamble is him trying to find a sliver of your trace.

And as he stood bloodsoaked atop of the remains he had mauled so grotesquely, his head tilted upwards with the most faded and lifeless purple orbs gazing at the pouring rain— He felt a sharp stab at his chest.

"Captain!" Beru wails, dropping his sword as he hurriedly assisted his master who had almost collapsed on the floor.

"My liege, you've pushed yourself too much" Bellion says as he took off his cloak and draped it over Jinwoo's figure who was still clutching his chest as if out of breath. "I beg you, captain, please breathe."

"I can't rest not," Jinwoo grits his teeth, moaning in pain as he feels another sharp stab in his heart.

It felt as though his insides are being burned alive, roasting him from within while his heart throbbed like it had a dagger embedded in it's flesh twisting so torturously slow.

Between death and this pain, Jinwoo would have rather chosen the afterlife if it weren't for the fact that he's so fixated on seeking for his precious siren.

His crew would gather around, panicking and attempting to be of help but to no avail

Since eventually, Jinwoo would have passed out from the agony he feels.

"It's not looking good," Igris sighs, running his hand through his long strands after patching up Jinwoo's chest with a bandage. "His injuries are getting more severe by the day."

"Where did it come from?" Beru asks hastily, gritting his teeth. "Did my liege's siren curse him?"

"Far from it," Igris explains. "If the siren had indeed cursed captain, then there is no reason why his the skin directly on top of his heart would rot and create cracks like it's made of glass. The injury not only affects his heart, but also eats him from the inside out. The black ichor spilling out of the wound shows that this is a divine punishment"

"Divine Punishment?!" Beru bellows, his expression turning dark. "Our liege is a gentle soul, why would he of all the bastards of this godforsaken world would suffer such ailment?!"

"Beru, your temper." He sighs, pulling the blanket up to Jinwoo so that their captain could rest more easily. "He has not offended any god, nor is he being punished for his misdeeds."

He takes a deep breath, "It's the aftereffects of being seperated from their mate."

"Mate? But our liege is human?" Beru inquires, flabbergasted.

"Yes, but he has bonded with a siren" Igris scoffs, crossing his arms as if mocking Beru's lack of comprehension. "Our liege told us of the story, of how he met a lovely little siren his age when he was but a wee little lad. A glow suddenly emanated from his chest as if there was a star being planted in his body. That is a typical way for sirens to propose innocently. And our liege has wholly accepted the bonding ritual. Unfortunately, the siren had fled. Prolonged separation from one's mate can result in the symptom's our liege has been showing. His young body is strong hence why he could keep the injuries at bay most of the time. But it seems that our captain will reach his limit soon if we do not find that siren soon."

"...." Beru droops, feeling hopeless.

"Best we let him rest for tonight," Igris simply taps his shoulder, signaling for his colleague to leave the captain's quarters too.

Jinwoo had woken up in the middle of the night, he was completely exhausted from the battle that took place in the afternoon.

He reached out and downed the mug of water waiting at his bedside before getting up and donning a coat over his shoulders to take a simple walk on the empty deck.

"Where are you, really?" Jinwoo sighs, bringing his finger up where a tiny little fish made of water playfully nuzzled his digit. "My darling bride, how am I to gift you all the treasures I've coveted if I cant even have you here, hm?"

Jinwoo had discovered that the little fish friend he had been secretly summoning from his heart was in fact a proof that he and the siren had bonded. If humans had their rings, sirens would have these little creatures as proof of sacramental union.

It was adorable, really.

Sure, one could say that he is only searching for the siren with the sole purpose of prolonging his life but that wasn't his goal.

No.

Even if the bond didn't exist, Jinwoo would still choose the same path as he does now.

If he dies, his siren would die too.

And as a stubborn, reckless and steadfast king of the pirates who even has power above the holy king himself— Jinwoo wouldn't back down in this.

So long as he sees a star twinkling above the unruly oceans, he will continue to sail in search of his precious bride.
