actually what if post 15x18 dean accepted his sexuality and started thinking of himself as a widower like fully acknowledging that he has gay thoughts and that cas was his emotional partner and he thinks himself into a territory of like. if we both felt romantically for each other….were we dating? if we spent the past 10 years like this are we common law married? so he just starts referring to cas as his like. late partner. he’s having a bittersweet moment trying to verbalize what he couldn’t before because at least he can do this much for cas’ memory? except nobody else knows what he’s doing so they all think that dean and cas have been fucking for years and dean is only now coming clean about it out of guilt or pride or whatever. and then when cas comes back everyone’s like wrow happy couple reunited……this is so sweet…….you can be Together again……..meanwhile dean’s freaking out all over again because now he’s got to put real work into a real relationship and cas is like. Did i miss something.

Not me listening, once again, to chariot by Jacob Lee and imagining a Saileen wedding where Jack’s the flower boy and Garth’s daughter is the ring bearer and Jack comes out to like a fourth of the way down the aisle and just dumps the entire basket on the ground and Dean has to run over to him and Jack’s like “am I in trouble?” But dean assured him he’s not and helps him to scoop as much of the petals as they can back into the basket and helps him properly spread them and of COURSE Bobby officiates and of COURSE Crowley acts like a drunken jealous ex the entire time and at the end when Eileen throws the bouquet she specifically yells “Hey Dean this is for you you lonely bitch!” And YEETS it aggressively at him so dean catches it and Cas comes towards him with a questioning look before dean rolls his eyes and pulls him into a kiss before separating and going “welp, looks like we’ve got a gay wedding to plan” and everyone laughs and then jack runs up to them and goes “My daddies are getting married??” And Dean’s like “yeah squirt we’re getting married, your daddies are getting married!” And also Claire and Kaia smoosh cake in eachother’s faces I’m so soft 🥺

I don’t know if this has been done but I kept imagining a sort of Reincarnation!AU, like somehow the exhibits are all destroyed (killed, basically,) and Larry is absolutely heartbroken, because now he’s officially never going to see his friends again and it’s almost more than he can bear.
Then years later, he goes to get his mail and bumps into this blond guy with a Texan accent, who’s just moved into the apartment complex with his partner and their “kids,” (who are all cats.) Said partner then pokes his head out the door and informs Jedediah that a very important documentary about the Colosseum is about to start on TV, so move it cowboy. And Larry is dying to say something, because how is this possible?? But he just leaves them to it and Jedediah can’t help but feel like, “damn, that guy seemed familiar.”
When he takes a shortcut through the park, Larry passes an old couple sitting on a park bench, watching two kids play in the sandpit. The couple look just like Teddy and Sacagawea, and one of the kids calls Teddy “grandpa.” Larry nearly fucking cries because not only do reincarnated!Teddy and Wea have children but they have grandchildren too and wtf is going on?
A new cooking channel starts on TV and the hot-headed chef is none other than Attila. A travelling acting group puts on a performance of Hamlet and Lancelot plays the lead role. All these faces from the past just suddenly appear in Larry’s every day life and he doesn’t know how to feel, because none of them remember him or life in the museum. He almost drives himself crazy wondering how all the exhibits have become people and how they all have their own lives, even though it’s only been like three years.
Then one day, as he’s walking home, he collides with a young man who (surprise surprise) is the spitting image of Ahkmenrah. He’s a university student who’s currently living with his older brother, but has so many plans for the future and after helping him pick up the books he dropped, Larry is dying to ask him if he remembers anything about being a dead Egyptian pharaoh with a magical tablet but decides not to because, you know, that’s weird.
When he says goodbye and turns to go, he hears the young man say, “thanks Larry,” even though he never told him his name.
(I made myself sad.)
FUCK I never ACTUALLY get physically affected by these types of posts usually but FUCK this made me choke up holy shit you’re doing god’s work
Cas's love confession was so brave and heartfelt, he deserved one just as meaningful in return.
So I made a Dean love confession using audio clips from the show.
Backstory: Dean wants to tell Cas he feels the same way the moment he sees him again in heaven. But for some reason, he just can't.
Even in paradise, Dean can't allow himself to be happy. He can't allow himself to go after the one thing he wants. He still believes, deep down, that he doesn't deserve it, that he is broken. And he still has fears. He fears what could happen if he admits things out loud about himself and his feelings. He fears what he could lose. He fears.
The scars on his soul are still there, scars he never had the time to tend to while on Earth because he was too busy putting out fire after fire.
It takes time to heal those scars, now that Dean has the space to work through his feelings and lifetime of trauma. And Cas, who loves him unconditionally, is so endlessly supportive and patient with Dean, and doesn't expect anything more than Dean's friendship and company.
After years and years in Heaven, Dean isn't afraid anymore, and all he wants is for Cas to know how truly loved he is, and that he wants to be with Cas... forever. He gets the ring, and meets Cas at their favorite stargazing spot. Everything is about to change.
