I Adore Kosmonauttihai’s Comics. And The Thought Wouldn’t Leave My Head Especially After The New

I adore Kosmonauttihai’s comics. And the thought wouldn’t leave my head especially after the new trailer so.

AU where Blue and Indy (I call him Indy because I don’t want to type out indoraptor every time 😂) escape together and have a baby.

This was mostly a piece I did as a personal creativity break from my poster work.

As anti BKDK & anti Bakugou, can I ask why you hate him and Aizawa so much (at least I get it why you dislike Endevour)? Yes, Bakugou was bad at first, but he grew as character. Now, he is one of the best anime/manga character ever. When he 'died', many anti Bakugou overjoyed, but he came back alive !!

Why do you thing Bakugou as a character is so popular (beloved by non shippers and shippers)?

Are you anti BKDK because you dislike mlm shipping?

Thanks for your blog, I don't like to say rude things just because of fandom and fictional characters, but can I ask why you dislike Bakugou so much when he changed so much? Like, his devotion to Midoriya is real and he truly is a hero.

(Hope you don't mind to have follower who is Bakugou fan and BKDK shipper)

I have made a lot of posts about why I hate Bakugou.

It's not because he's a bad person. A bad person can be a great character. Shigaraki is one of my favorite characters in the series. I have a lot of issues with Bakugou as a character, not a person.

A big issue is probably how everyone treats him, especially in comparison to other characters. Bakugou can be as callous and spiteful as he wants and so many characters trip over themselves to praise him. Aizawa (I'll get to him in a second), All Might, and the other teachers don't see fit to correct his behavior, even when he's been violent towards his other classmates (mainly Izuku). Worse, Aizawa outright favors him.

Bakugou punched Izuku during the Final Exam and refused to cooperate. What did Aizawa do? Nothing. He passed him even though he failed Sero, who sacrificed himself to save Mineta. He doesn't even scold Bakugou for this even though he scolded Uraraka and Aoyama during the Training Camps.

Monoma isn't even half as bad as Bakugou. At worst, he gives 1A a hard time occasionally. But 1A absolutely can't stand him. Bakugou's friends- Kirishima and Sero- are Monoma's biggest critics.

Then there's how the narrative bends over backwards to make Bakugou seem like a better person. And why I hate Aizawa is that most of the time it's through him. Bakugou is accused of going too hard on Uraraka? Aizawa scolds the crowd to blatantly tell us- the viewers- that they don't know what they're talking about and that Bakugou respects Uraraka as an opponent.

Which isn't even true. He a) blatantly told Uraraka that she should have given up and b) assumed her plan was Izuku's doing. Aizawa was dead wrong, even though he's supposed to be a way to tell us what's going on. And this isn't even the only time he does this, he also defended Bakugou's behavior to the journalists and said that he would work on improving it.

Except he didn't. But this was a way to, once again, shut down criticism of Bakugou. Everyone who criticizes Bakugou even a little is antagonized to make him look better than he is: the pros at the Sports Festival, the journalists, Monoma, etc.

Izuku is also forced to be a tool to make Bakugou's development look better. He was forced to validate Bakugou's insecurities during Deku vs Kacchan Part 1. We're told, by All Might, that Izuku doesn't hold Bakugou's behavior against him. Even Bakugou's apology was less about Izuku- his victim- and more about making Bakugou look better. Izuku, as one of my favorite characters, deserves better than that.

Also, to me, Bakugou's "change" isn't all that significant. He still does most of the things he did before, it was just changed to be more comedic. Bakugou didn't actually change, he got a character shift to make it easier to redeem him. How can I say he's changed when none of the other characters hold him accountable?

I hate Aizawa because he's a bad teacher and a hypocrite. He's constantly scolding and berating Izuku, but says almost nothing to Bakugou. Accuses All Might of favoritism when he had a whole protege on the side he was trying to get into the hero course. Constantly berates his class for their faults while doing nothing to make them better.

Again, during the Final Exam, he had five other students who failed. Students he could have easily worked with prior to that exam. But he was fine bending over backwards to make sure Bakugou passed. He's a bad teacher that the series tries to make out to be better than he is.

Also, I do NOT hate mlm shipping. Zolu is one of my favorite ships ever. I hate yaoi shippers who feel the need to bash female characters for getting in the way of their ship (or being shipped with a male character in Katara's case). It's blatant misogyny, just because it's gay doesn't mean it's not prejudiced. Uraraka gets treated terribly by BakuDeku shippers, or she's shipped with Tsu or Toga, tucked away in a background sapphic ship where she can't interfere. That's just as bad as bashing her because it's using a sapphic ship as a tool to prop a gay ship.

I don't hate mlm shipping. I hate how some of my favorite characters are treated because of it. There's also an issue with it fetishizing gay men for straight women, but that's another issue entirely.

My hatred for BakuDeku is actually separate from this. It's a ship built off of abuse. The abuse even persists in their platonic relationship, it would absolutely maintain in a romantic relationship. BakuDeku benefits Bakugou and only Bakugou, not Izuku.

I think Bakugou is so well liked because his gimmick of tough and edgy entices a lot of people. He had a lot of fans before he started to get redeemed. And now with his "great" character development, it justifies a lot of people's love for him.

In which Mob asks Tsubomi out and then some other things happen. Four of sixteen twenty total pages. Click to make the images bigger/more legible. ID in description.

i haint even fucking seen the finale, i wanted to finish this bit first. sortof tryna emulate ONE's busted no-taper fixed-width inking style. id follows

ID: Four black and white comics pages about characters from Mob Psycho 100.

Page 1:

A park bench sits along a trail in front of a wall of trees with black trunks and white, vague foliage. Tsubomi pushes herself off of it, smiling, and says "Oh--you made it!"

Mob approaches her along a trail. The same black trunks surround him, but a few are broken--one lies across the trail in front of him. He steps over it and says, "Hey, Tsubomi."

Tsubomi and Mob stand across from each other, maintaining eye contact across a blank gap. Tall vertical trees stand behind Tsubomi while those behind Mob are broken and bent. Tsubomi's expression is vaguely demure, her hands folded in front of her, while Mob is smiling and leans forward. He carries the sunflower in his right hand.

Page 2:

Tsubomi's face is large in this empty panel. She has an odd expression on. There is a smirk; her eyebrows are slightly folded and one is raised higher than the other. One eye squints a little. She says, "I guess the, uh. The storm has passed."

Mob looks down, makes himself anonymous, two eyes and some black shapes. "Yes."

Then he looks up, and there he is in full detail. One side of his collar is damaged and torn. He smiles widely, his upper lip curled. "Yeah. It has."

Tsubomi points with two fingers and takes a step along the trail, looking back at him. "Great. Let's take a walk, I'm tired of sitting here." She's smiling widely, clearly relaxed. Mob, staying where he is, gently holds out a hand and says, "Oh, yeah, but, uh, if I could--" His shoulders hunch. The sunflower is visible in his grip.

Mob is in an empty panel in exaggerated perspective so the top of his head is huge and his feet are tiny, far below him. Only his wobbly eyes are visible, looking down at the sunflower that he's holding diagonally across his chest now. He says "--ask you to stay here one more minute. So I can..." Tsubomi interrupts across a panel border, "Right."

Now Tsubomi's head and shoulders are in the empty square, and this time we're looking up at her from below. "You wanted to tell me something." She again looks mildly concerned in her eyebrows; there is a dimple in her cheek but otherwise her mouth betrays no happiness.

Off-panel Mob says, "Yes." Tsubomi, in close-up, squints and looks down.

Page 3:

In a tiny little panel Tsubomi is just her hair, a black oval, facing Mob, who looks up from his head tilted down.

Mob faces the reader, the otherwise empty panel framing his head, shoulders, and upper torso. He looks straight at the reader and says, a calm smile on his face, "Tsubomi, I like you. A lot."

This view is maintained as Mob looks away and shrugs one shoulder, still smiling. "Always have. Ever since we were little. You never treated me any different because of..."

A smaller panel just shows his head and shoulders as Mob looks back at the reader and traces a small circle by his head with his finger, to indicate him, his brain, something.

Another smaller panel just shows his shoulders and upper torso as Mob once again holds the sunflower diagonally across his chest. He fidgets with the head of the flower. "So if you would--uh, I was wondering..."

The same view of Mob returns, now with a few of the bent trees half-visible, highlighting his form. He holds the sunflower out in front of him. The flower is large and has its own little highlight. He has one of those smiles that's so strong that the front of it gets pushed down by your upper lip. He says, "Would you like to go out. With me."

Page 4:

Tsubomi stands, head, shoulders, and upper torso highlighted by the vertical trees behind her, looking right at the reader. She has a mild smile on and leans to the right.

The same views but the trees are gone, so it's just her as she leans farther, her shoulders slump, her mouth flattens out of the smile, her eyebrows crinkle together. She stares right at the reader.

The same view of her in an empty panel now twice as wide as the others, so she looks smaller though her size doesn't change. One arm has goes up to hold her hip. She drops her head down so her partially-visible face is a silhouette surrounded by the black shape of her hair and collar, just a nose, an ear, and a closed eye.

End ID.

yall already know what it is. sad tsubomi hour. this comic will answer two questions: one, what did the rejection actually look like?? two, how did mob get tsubomis number later???

Now that the first episode of the season is out, I can finally comment on how hilariously intense the meeting of the Upper Moons was.

Like, we really watched (I, even paid money to see in the cinema) the equivalent of Akaza just taking the elevator to the office, pass by the recepcionist, get greeted by the one coworker he can’t fucking stand, get chewed up by the boss like every Monday and having to insist to his bitchass coworker that he’d rather die than go ‘hang out’ after work.

We really saw that but with an animation budget that’s off the charts.

There is such a profound difference in the way Tanjiro's trauma is handled compared to Izuku's.

There Is Such A Profound Difference In The Way Tanjiro's Trauma Is Handled Compared To Izuku's.

Tanjiro's pain isn't ignored. It's part of him, and the narrative goes out of its way to acknowledge that he's still affected by it even when he's smiling. Even in this scene where it's a villager internally acknowledging his pain, it's still Tanjiro's expression and gestures that are communicating with us.

There Is Such A Profound Difference In The Way Tanjiro's Trauma Is Handled Compared To Izuku's.

Izuku is so disconnected from his trauma. To the point where we never even get to know how he feels about it. We hear speculation from All Might, talking to his abuser no less. Izuku isn't even present in this scene, he's off to the side.

You can see who actually cares for their MC as a character and who just uses their MC whenever it's convenient

💠 here and I just realized something about mha’s narrative is that these kids have no down time whatsoever. Like the narrative gives them no time to breathe, it’s always something that fowards the narrative. They want to go to the mall? Boom! Shigaraki has to be there. Training camp to be better heroes? Let’s just have one of these kids get kidnapped and let 5 other kids rescue him at the downfall of a mentor. Not to mention THE ENTIRE WAR ARC BECAUSE THESE ARE STILL FIRST YEARS (iirc on the timeline that they were first years during war arc). While I get why the writing is like this, shonen jump could've cancelled it at any moment, it just kinda rushes everything and leaves most of the cast to be bland/forgettable (most of 1-A) if not outright have their writing thrown in the trash (I still will not forgive them for throwing the Tenya and Ochaco dynamic with Izuku away).

Like the most they get is the sports festival, some of the training camp arc before it gets thrown out, the cultural festival and maybe the internships but Tsuyu is the only one shown to get a reasonable break in the anime exclusive episodes.

Like let me see Momo trying “commoner’s food”/street food for the first time and seeing how hard people work on the streets, let them having a day to go back to the beach Izuku cleaned up (because I don’t think they ever mentioned it after the early series), or a day where they all talk about updating their hero costumes or Izuku mentioning things about their quirks (kinda like how you were sprinkling in for the rewrite). Just GIVE THEM AND THE STORY SOME DOWN TIME AND LET THE CHARACTERS DEVELOP AGH.

NAH BUT LIKE FOR REAL!?!?

People can say what they want about filler or the obligatory beach episodes, but they were great! Just seeing these characters having fun, seeing how they act outside of high-tension, high-stake scenarios.

Who organises hang-outs? Who comes thirty minutes early, who comes an hour late, (totally not me, sorry guys), who always brings painkillers or lip balm or plasters/bandages? Who brings out a deck of cards, who cheats, whose poker face is terrible, who loses every game?

It's great seeing characters, especially teenagers, act their age. Not only does it serve to make the bonds between them feel a bit more real, a bit more strong, but it also allowed the audience to get attached to them properly.

See, I don't have an issue with Tomura showing up at the mall episode. I would have just liked to see the kids actually have fun before the sprinkle of plot development.

Show me Momo or Tenya or Shouto buying that trinket Ochako kept staring at but couldn't afford. Show me Mina beating everyone on DDR, and Tooru trying to compete like a fool. Show me Izuku or Mezou nearly breaking the punching machine. Show me Denki or Hanta making Momo and Shouto try crappy fast food and them actually enjoying it.

The timeline of MHA is ridiculous. Like, pace yourself please?? At least, show me what the kids get up to in the spring, summer, and winter breaks.

Downtime and breaks are extremely important, even in plot-heavy works. It's not just the characters who need a break, but the readers too. It gets exhausting reading about all this tragic stuff, maybe a gag here or there.

I guess Horikoshi may have been afraid that the momentum would be killed, but curbing momentum is what makes final acts feel so grand!

To compare it to a song or a musical number, you never want the score to feel stagnant. If a songs starts slow, the end will be all-out, only going down at the very end. See: It's All Coming Back To Me Now. Starts slow, ends with a massive note, and Celine Dion is joined by other vocals.

If a song starts high and up-beat, what composers will do is drop the melody, either cutting out the vocals or the beat, then let it all go out. Like... Uptown Funk with the toned-down bridge, segwaying into a powerful ending.

Stories work in the same way.

If you continuously build that momentum, without a break, it's going to peak early and feel stagnant the longer it goes. Horikoshi refused to give characters more than a chapter to settle down, and it made it all feel so same-y.

That's part of the reason by the ending of the Final War doesn't feel impactful at all. You're not left thinking, 'wow'. You're thinking, 'finally'.

my thoughts on canon Muzan

For being the main antagonist of this series, there is a reason why people naturally gravitate more towards his Upper Moons, and that is the execution of his characterization. I’m sure many of you have come across posts explaining the references to natural disasters and his philosophy and also his constant claims to godhood, which are aspects that I do think Gotouge intended to share, but it’s not particularly delved into.

I have had complaints before that it was really difficult to relate to Muzan’s character in any way. Now, I realize that was the point Gotouge was intending to make, however this realization didn’t quite satisfy me like it should have. He’s arrogant, stubborn, and sometimes flat out childish, but at no point do we see any strengths. It’s not clear if he has a genuine passion for science. Or for learning in general. He doesn’t have a single likeable trait to contrast his faults, other than he’s charismatic, but we do not see that part of him nearly as much as we should.

His motivations for becoming the perfect Demon don’t have any plans afterwards, either. Like, what was he going to do after he accomplished his goal? We don’t know. And the fact that we really don’t know, when it should have been stated at some point, is not great, since again, this is our main antagonist. In a shounen.

I don’t know, I don’t doubt Gotouge had big ideas for Muzan, but it feels like they really bit off more than they could chew, and the genre that Muzan is placed in being action-focused didn’t do him any favors. I am a firm believer of the idea that he would have fared much better in some Edwardian era science horror where his philosophy and unique outlook on life would have been expected to be properly explored. But, yeah…
