asdFGHJKL??? OMG?? This is so good?? I freaking love ideas that involves Quirk drawbacks, since there’s not many obviously shown in canon, and the way you so seamlessly applied that concept to Kariage?? It’s ingenious!!

And, like, I’ve thought and talked about possible Quirk drawbacks with some of the other people interested in Kariage and Katsucrew content, but I’ve only considered how Mito’s Quirk could make her burn calories extremely fast and how getting sick/fevers could potentially be very dangerous to her, and also how Seika could have breathing problems when using her Quirk because it alters the air pressure and quality around her.

But, like?? The concept of Kariage’s Quirk hurting him at first and having to train his body to get used to it with exposure to what hurts him? Katsuki carrying inhalers around to help, and even cigarettes even though he could get in trouble for it? Secret sweet-toothed Katsuki? Kariage keeping burn cream, bandages, and painkillers on hand to help Katsuki? Boyfriends loving and supporting each other the best that they can?? Immaculate, flawless, exquisite.

I cannot believe I’ve never considered such a perfect idea. Like, as someone with breathing problems, this hits so close to home and it’s just?? asdfghjk I really don’t have words to describe just how much i love this concept. It’s absolute perfection. I’d absolutely love to include this idea in the Undercut-verse canon, if that’s alright with you? If not, that’s fine!! But ahhdfghjkl I just love this concept so much, regardless!! <33

📂📂📂bakugou undercut headcanons???

Kariage often has a really bad cough and lung problems. His quirk, smoke, isn’t very kind to his breathing system and so he’ll often struggle to breathe and cough and cough and cough until his throat is sore and his chest is aching.

So Katsuki always carries around several inhalers. If he doesn’t have his backpack with him he still has an inhaler in his pocket and he’s always ready in case Kariage needs it.

He also always goes to the doctor with him, trying to find ways to make it easier for him to breathe and strengthen his resistance to his quirk. With training it becomes easier, Kariage’s coughing fits ease up and they’re not quite as bad, but Katsuki never gets rid of his habit and he still carries around inhalers.

Kariage, on the other hand, always has painkillers and burn cream with him. When he was young Katsuki would get bad blisters over his hands and it would hurt until he cried in pain, so Kariage made sure to always have some bandages and cream with him.

They just make sure to have the things the other might need and it doesn’t just extend to medication and safety precatuions; Katsuki always has a lollipop or two with him, and in his backpack (and in the UA dorms) he has a pack of cigarettes that Kariage smokes in order to strengthen his quirk. On the other hand, Kariage usually has some chocolate with him - Katsuki would never admit it but he has quite the sweet-tooth and if he’s in a bad mood giving him chocolate is a sure way to get him out of it, he also always has a bottle of water in his backpack since Katsuki has to keep himself hydrated, and in the colder months he brings a spare jacket even though he doesn’t need it just because he knwos fine well Katsuki always gets cold and complains about it.

Ooh, okay so it’s been a good. Three months since I’ve posted anything haha whoops. Anyways, I’m just posting this to let everyone (who’re not in the server) that I’m still alive - I just have not been very active. Yikes.

Yeah, so my lack of activity is mostly because my work schedule kind of ramped up and my diploma work has gotten increasingly more difficult (sigh). My computer, which is what I use 99% of the time to write with, also broke and I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get it fixed. In the time since I haven’t posted, my adoration for both KariBaku and the Katsucrew waned enough that it went on the backburner of my interests, especially since I got super into Attack on Titan for a good while (still am, to be honest).

However!! I’ve recently (aka like. two days ago) reawakened my obsession with this little ‘verse of mine so!! I’m not gonna make any promises about how much I’ll post, or when I can finally get around to actually fleshing out my fics, but I’ll be answering ALL of the asks I have in my inbox (some that’ve been there for months, sheesh) and I’ll be making attempts at posting more, including some of the backlog of drafts I have!!

So, yeah, in summary: I love each and every one of you guys for putting up with my lack of posting and lapse of interest <33

What are your thoughts on the sports festival and bakugou getting muzzled? How do you think the undercut-verse plays in it? Also I just really love you. Undercut-kun x bakugou is one of the my otps (though every ship with bakugou is my otp except for the cursed ones) and the fact that you provide us with all this beautiful content makes me so happy🥺. !!! Okay, the Sports Festival and the whole situation afterwards plays out very differently than it does in canon. Originally, I was going to have Kariage physically be there, but then I remembered he’s supposed to be lower-income in the story. The same goes for Seika, who’s parents are middle-class but frugal, and Henshuu, whose family can’t afford unnecessary things when they have to take care of eight kids. Yasushi also probably wouldn’t be able to afford Sports Festival tickets.

Also, this answer got kind of long, so I’m going to split it in half - the first for the actual Sports Festival situation, and the second for the aftermath.

So, the only ones actually there when Katsuki is chained and muzzled on live television are Mito and Hifue. They’re not together at the time, sitting with their respective courses and classes but when the podium is raised, Mito takes off running to where Hifue is sitting. They’re shocked at first, and Mito understandably thinks that there has to be a mistake. However, Hifue regrettably tells her that it’s clear no one else thinks something is wrong.

They might not be Hero students, but they’re not going to stand back when something bad is happening.

All Might arrives, landing right in front of the podium. He turns to take the medals from Midnight when, all of a sudden, something small smacks him in the shoulder. The small rock drops to the ground, Hifue’s telekinesis deactivating, and there’s silence in the crowd, people staring straight at Hifue and Mito who stand, faces screwed up in hateful glares.

“Let him go!” Mito shouts angrily, “What the fuck is that! He’s literally chained to a fucking pillar! Let him go, dammit!”

Murmurs pass through the crowd as All Might, shocked, stammers. “Young - Young lady, you must calm down, this is simply a precaution - “

Mito literally growls, stomping as close to the barrier of the seating area as she can, leaning over the rail and screaming out. “Shut the fuck up! Precaution, my ass. He’s a fucking kid! You muzzled a kid! What type of hero does that shit?”

Midnight clears her throat, “Ma’am, as a student of UA, you must respect your teachers. Bakugou needs to accept his medal, and he’s acting - “

Hifue sneers as Mito cuts Midnight off, eyes enraged: “Acting what!? Acting what!? Like he woke up chained and muzzled!? Like he wants to get out!? Fuck your medal! Leave him the hell alone!”

Hifue looks down at the two teachers and speaks clearly for all to hear: “You’re not acting like teachers or Heroes - your actions are downright villainous.”

This shuts the Hero up, leaving those in the crowd to furiously whisper. There is nothing for a few seconds before a voice echoes from across the near silent stadium: “Let him go!” Heads turn - it’s a girl, maybe nineteen or so, standing tall despite the hands of her friends trying to tug her down. From a few rows down, the call is echoed, this time from a little boy around nine. His mom nods once and stands with him. “Let him go!”

From the general course section, a purple haired boy leans over the rail, cups his hands around his mouth and hoarsely repeats, “Let him go!” All around the stadium, a chant starts up, people clamoring up from their seats and echoing the call. There’s hesitation in some, voices mere whispers, but they rise in volume until the crowd is in an uproar. Even the boys in second and third place seem to be echoing the phrase.

Mito is shouting the loudest, fist raised high in the air, eyes locked on Katsuki’s red-rimmed ones.

All Might and Midnight attempt to quiet to crowd in vain, eventually giving up when the chant becomes deafening. Rushing, Midnight hands the keys over and All Might hurriedly releases Katsuki, stepping forward as if to speak to the boy. Katsuki flinches back, betrayal clear in his eyes as he stumbles off the stage in a rush.

He heads to one of the exits, and Mito and Hifue rush to meet him halfway. They leave to the sound of “Let him go! Let him go! Let him go!” and the sight of food and drinks being thrown from the stands - a show of disrespect to the Heroes and their villainous actions.

!!! Hi, yes, I’d like to establish that Kari calling Katsuki any and all petnames currently occupies every braincell I have to spare. Like, the concept of Katsuki, someone most people see as this tough, uber masculine guy just absolutely melting at being called baby and honey, and angel? It’s perfect, it’s literally so freaking amazing and I love it.

And, I absolutely adore how no one says a thing about it. They hear Katsuki be called these sugar sweet terms of endearment and immediately wanna tease him, but then, they see him smile? They see him blush bright red and look away shyly with a small, cute smile and gently shove and Kariage, and he’s looks so happy. Aizawa and the Bakusquad can’t find it in themselves to take that away, and I love that. 

Because, with all the shit Katsuki’s had to deal with and been put through, all the pain and shame and hurt, he deserves everything good. And, if a little petname or two make him happy then that’s perfectly okay.

Hey, I hope school gets better for you, soon! I can definitely relate to the stress and it sucks that you have to deal with that >:( Regardless, I got a headcanon for Kariage, if that's cool! Personally, he gives me the vibe of someone who uses a million and one petnames for his partner, and Baku would 100% be subject to this. I just find it so cute to think about how Baku would react to all the cutesy nicknames and how *others*, like the Bakusquad and Aizawa, would react to them as well! :)

Also!! Yes! I totally agree.

He just has that energy of someone who’s incredibly cocky, very confident and likes to tease and toy with people, that’s the reason he first uses pet-names, he just likes the way it makes Katsuki stutter and blush and tell him to fuck off.

But then, once they get together, he does it because he knows fine well how much Katsuki loves it. He knows because he’s seen that soft little smile that appears on Katsuki’s face whenever he calls him anything remotely sweet.

So he calls him baby, sweetheart, angel, anything and everything he can think of, just to get Katsuki to smile at him like that.

And I think that the first time the class/Aizawa hear Kariage call him pet-names they’re so damn ready to tease him. They’re already thinking of what they’re going to say at him, a lot of them are a few seconds away from laughing at the scene. But then they see the way Katsuki reacts, the smile, the blush, the way he looks down at the floor and bites his lip and slaps Kariage’s shoulder, the taller boy just looking down at him and smiling all proud and smug, and suddenly they have nothing to say. They know that if they say anything, if they do something awful as laugh, it would affect Katsuki, it would make him feel embarrassed and ashamed of liking something as sweet and soft as pet-names. So they keep their mouths shut and pretend they didn’t hear or see anything.

Hello and welcome to the official KariKatsu Week Post! This event was put together by so many lovely people in the KariBaku discord server, and will take place February 8th to February 14th, focusing on any and everything Kariage and Katsuki-centric!

For those unaware, Kariage is Katsuki’s old middle school friend with the curly undercut. A niche interest and a rarepair, true, but crazier things have been shipped, haven’t they?

For those curious or wanting to participate, this event will be very casual, mostly due to the time frame. No money will be made off the content created for the week, and all submissions are accepted from full-on chaptered fics and drabbles to sketches and fully rendered artworks. As long as Kariage and Katsuki are the main focus and relationship, whether romantic or platonic, then you’re good!

As for the prompts, here they are!

These are just places to start, though! Feel free to take these and run, tear them to shreds, or set them on fire and dance on the ashes. Stick to these prompts, create your own, or do a mix of both, as long as Kariage and Katsuki are front and center!

The tongue piercing was, admittedly, a bad choice. 

Well, not really a bad choice per se, but Katsuki knew he should’ve gone about getting it a different way, and he also should’ve waited until he was out of middle school and away from his dumbass impulsive friend (Undercut-Kun) who somehow always managed to talk him into making the worst decisions. It didn’t matter that they were minors, it didn’t matter that their parents had no idea where they were going or what they were doing (although, Undercut’s parents didn’t particularly care, anyways, they were too busy drinking and popping pills to give a shit about what their kid was doing in his spare time). Honestly, Katsuki had no idea how that fucker managed to drag him into that hellhole. Cause that’s what it was - an absolute disaster of a neighbourhood, far too sketchy for two stupid kids to be walking around. But they didn’t care, no, they were headed to some guy Undercut knew who didn’t really care about their age or their parents and would happily pierce whatever body part they wanted pierced. And so Katsuki settled for his tongue cause it was easy to hide from his parents who he rarely spoke to anyways and Undercut wanted his brow done. No problem. They were in an out of the place within a few minutes and Katsuki would never admit to anyone that he grabbed Undercut’s hand during the process.

Regardless of how they got the piercings they still loved them. Yeah, having a lisp for a few days sucked but Katsuki just kept his mouth shut and ignored the snickers Undercut let out whenever he accidentally spoke in front of him. But Katsuki loved that stupid piercing and once it was healed he toyed around with it all the damn time. Eventually he wanted more but he knew his parents wouldn’t really let him get one.

Then he moved into the dorms, though, and he decided ‘fuck it’ and he called up Undercut and they went back to that shady place and while Katsuki got his lip done Undercut got an industrial. Again, they loved that shit.

Katsuki was a bit too oblivious to notice the stares of his classmates, though. The way their eyes lingered on his piercings and the gasps they let out when they saw he has his fucking tongue pierced.

Eventually, as his collection of piercings grew, everyone got used to it, but they never got over just how hot Katsuki looked with all the jewellery hanging off his body.
