Hello from Tumblr! I’ve been thinking, and I realize that my WordPress blog posts are basically Tumblr posts anyway. I might as well make it a Tumblr blog because I lose almost nothing. I plan to re-make all of my WordPress posts as proper Tumblr posts, properly reblogging the Tumblr stuff this time to comply with the posters’ wishes. For instance, my post for PiNe’s illustrations will become reblogs of every image when possible. Once I learn to Tumblr properly and get my theme and cross-posts working correctly, this is going to be good.

I saw this today and got to thinking about the practicality of using a floating balloon as a fish bowl. If you had a large enough balloon filled with about 95% helium and 5% water and fish, it should float. There are further complications though: How would you feed the fish? How do you clean the fish bowl part? Would replacing air with helium have an adverse affect on the fish? Would the uneven pressure distribution break the balloon, dropping water and fish on whatever's underneath it at the time?

I’ve got videos too! Let’s start with a classic. I need to watch more Tony Jaa movies.

The tree is up, the lights are on, the presents are wrapped, and it’s Christmas Day. I might even get to take a nap for a few hours before things get started. pixiv’s Christmas tag is used way more than I expected, even on pixiv Spotlight. Happy holidays, everyone!
OK, so I doubt many people here Stateside are getting Touhou stuff for Christmas. There's actually a separate Touhou Christmas tag which itself has 2,318 results.

UPDATE: Did you know? I actually appear in Did You Know Gaming’s Mario Glitches video at 2:17 with footage from Fun with the Orb Glitch. I’m glad they cite their sources too, but I liked them more when they posted images like this.
Every fandom needs its useless trivia. For video games, you can find tons of useless trivia at DidYouKnowGaming? Their RSS feed is perfect for this sort of thing, and it all shows up on their Facebook page too. You too can find out how in the new Zelda game on 3DS, every character and object is doing a constant Michael Jackson lean because it looks better than looking at the tops of their heads all the time. Smart stuff!
You know, I put too much effort into these posts and I'm not posting often enough. I ought to start posting images and videos without any titles or context. It works for Tumblr! (If only I knew I’d remake this WordPress post on Tumblr 4½ years later...)

Hi, Internet! I apologize; I’ve been pretty glitchy lately and things have been crazy, what with the weddings and holidays and conventions and all. My cross-posting pipeline is broken so I have to write the same posts four times. That’s too much work!
My stream is erratic, too, but I’ve been experimenting with restream.io to stream to Mixer, Twitch, Smashcast, and Facebook all at once, usually on Friday nights. Once the cartridge is reseated and things work again, I’ll try to relaunch the blog and the stream. These experiments have been fun, though.

Spotify’s Discover Weekly playlist is the gift that keeps on giving, and yesterday it introduced me to Thank You Scientist. This seven course dinner of a crossover prog rock band uses strings, saxophones, and brass to fill out their sound.

Viewpoint was a strange experiment. The sampled drum loops were ahead of their time, but isometric perspective never worked for shmups.

I don't update my web site or my Facebook enough, so I'm starting this WordPress blog. Unlike my old blog, this one is mostly pictures and videos from the Internet and not much text. Unlike the Bakamo Studios site, I plan to put up new really short, informal posts about 2-5 times a week.

(I’m re-posting the entire content of my old WordPress blog to Tumblr, for about 170 posts, starting with this post. This will make all of my old content searchable here, and I think I’m going to have all of the WordPress single post pages meta redirect to Tumblr posts. This behavior might change later, we’ll see.)
This blog's cross-posting to Facebook is making me rethink how I want to post things. You should subscribe to my RSS feed instead, but I have too many friends that just use Facebook, and I want that to look nice too.
Videos cross-post well, right? Enjoy some tool-assisted goofing off in fighting games.
