okay so I'm gonna rant cuz im a neurodivergent person who needs validation and I don't wanna bother my friends more sooo here I am.

Im in a play called The Imaginary Invalid. It's about a hypochondriac and his journey which shitty doctors. We are doing an adaptation but the original was written in the 1700s by a man called molier. He had an aneurism on stage but because of this play and many others badmouthing doctors no doctor would help him. Anyways Argan the hypochondriac has a servant named toinette she's a sassy girl with an enjoyment for back talking him and saying what's on her mind.

I play Argans brother beralde(all French names btw. There's a guy called guy buy you say it like gee. Anyhooo) now beralde is the only character who jokes about being gay. ITS ONLY TWO LINES BUT STILL. He's in live with toinette. Me and my other cast mates have decided he's gay but straight for her. He's also dying.

You’ve always been comfortable in the shadows. Being the younger brother of Theo Nott has its advantages, especially in Slytherin House where reputation and alliances matter. Theo's shadow, though imposing, provided a certain level of protection and anonymity. It allowed you to move through the corridors of Hogwarts without drawing too much attention, to observe rather than be observed.

That all began to change when Lorenzo Berkshire entered your life.

It started innocently enough. Lorenzo had a way of making everyone feel noticed, but you were surprised when his attention landed on you. He was a year ahead, handsome in a classic, effortless way that drew many eyes. His charm was magnetic, and you couldn't deny the thrill that ran through you when he started talking to you more frequently.

"Hey, you coming to the library tonight?" Lorenzo's voice broke through your thoughts as you were packing your bag after Potions class.

"Yeah, I'll be there," you replied, trying to sound casual. Inside, your heart was pounding. Theo's warning echoed in your mind: "Watch yourself around him. He's got a reputation."

But you couldn't help it. Lorenzo had a way of making you feel seen in a way that was different from anyone else. It was like he understood the parts of you that even Theo didn't see, or chose to ignore.

The library became your sanctuary, where Lorenzo would sit close, sharing textbooks and whispered jokes. You found yourself looking forward to these moments, craving them even. And it didn’t take long for Theo to notice the change.

"What’s going on with you and Berkshire?" Theo's voice was sharp one evening as he cornered you in the common room. His eyes, usually cool and calculating, now burned with a mix of protectiveness and jealousy.

"Nothing, Theo. We're just studying together," you lied, knowing he wouldn't be satisfied with such a simple answer.

"Studying? You think I don't see the way he looks at you? The way you look at him?" Theo's tone was low but fierce, his frustration palpable.

"Maybe it's time you let me figure some things out on my own," you snapped, surprising even yourself. The words hung in the air, charged with a defiance you hadn't felt before.

Theo stared at you, a flicker of hurt crossing his features before he masked it with anger. "Just be careful," he muttered before turning and walking away, leaving you to stew in a mix of guilt and exhilaration.

One evening, as you were walking back from the library together, Lorenzo stopped you just outside the Slytherin common room. "I want to show you something," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

Curiosity piqued, you followed him up several flights of stairs and through a series of corridors until you reached the Astronomy Tower. The view was breathtaking, the night sky a tapestry of stars.

"Wow," you breathed, leaning against the stone parapet.

Lorenzo stood beside you, his shoulder brushing yours. "I thought you might like it up here," he said softly. There was a vulnerability in his voice that made your heart ache.

"I do," you admitted, turning to look at him. The moonlight cast a silver glow over his features, making him look almost ethereal.

He took a deep breath, as if steeling himself for something. "I like spending time with you. More than I probably should."

Your heart skipped a beat. "I feel the same way," you confessed, your voice barely a whisper.

Lorenzo's eyes met yours, and for a moment, the world seemed to stand still. Then, slowly, he leaned in and pressed his lips to yours. The kiss was gentle, tentative, but it set your nerves on fire. You kissed him back, your hands finding their way to his shoulders, pulling him closer.

When you finally broke apart, both of you were breathless, your foreheads resting against each other. "This complicates things, doesn’t it?" Lorenzo murmured, a hint of amusement in his voice.

"Maybe," you replied, a smile tugging at your lips. "But I think it's worth it."

The following days were a blur of stolen glances and secret meetings. You knew Theo was watching, his disapproval growing with each passing day, but you couldn’t bring yourself to care. For the first time, you felt like you were living for yourself, not just existing in someone else's shadow.

Theo confronted you again, this time in the privacy of your dormitory. "You need to end this, before it goes too far," he demanded, his eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and desperation.

"I can't, Theo. I won't," you replied, your voice steady. "I care about him."

Theo's shoulders sagged, the fight leaving him. "Just... don’t get hurt," he whispered, the vulnerability in his voice mirroring your own.

You reached out, placing a hand on his arm. "I won't," you promised. "And I'm still your brother, no matter what."

Theo nodded, a reluctant acceptance in his eyes. "Just be careful," he repeated, his tone softer now.

As you left the dormitory, you felt a sense of liberation. The shadows that once confined you were shifting, revealing a path that was yours to follow. And with Lorenzo by your side, you felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
