Alphyne week 9, Day 3

Prompt: City

One great thing Alphys liked about where their apartment’s location was its proximity to downtown of the big city they lived in. They lived on the outskirt of the city so it felt like being in a quiet suburb yet it only took half an hour using public transit to get downtown.

Alphys was always nervous going out as there always was so many people roaming downtown, no matter what time of day (or night) it was. Monsters weren’t exactly the most common of sights yet so they were often looked at, getting mostly curious stares, which made Alphys uncomfortable. Undyne on the other hand barely seemed to notice the attention every time and kept happily chatting with Alphys.

As nervous as going downtown made her, Alphys went regularly. Internet shopping was one thing, but going in a store and finding the brand new volume of her favorite series was something else. So she and Undyne planned frequent shopping trips where they would spend an afternoon visiting their favorite shops and then stopping in whichever small coffee shop was around

Every time they sat down face to face with their drinks, Undyne would take Alphys’ hand and smile gently at her and every time, this was Alphys’ favorite moment of the day.

I wanted to do something with Tundra Man and Top Man. The snow robbit and eye ice cookies are sugar cookies coated in some royal icing. All homemade (exept for the sparkle gel icing used to outline). I typically use cookie cutters to make some nice even shapes but I had none in the kind of shapes I needed so I shaped everything by hand. I’m quite happy with how they looked (and how they tasted!)

I was so excited to see proposing as a theme! I just love proposals and weddings. The hardest part was deciding who I wanted to draw. I briefly considered drawing Gemini proposing to himself but then I suddenly thought about this adorable couple and I just had to draw them. They’re one of my favorites Megaman pairings.

A few weeks ago, we took the bus to go to a zoo. One of my favorite part was petting the rays. So friendly, they'd go out of their way to get petted <3
