Silver the Hedgehog x fem! Reader
Got stuff from the drafts that need to breathe...trust that ive got requests in my inbox, those are being worked on....ANYWAY I finally watched the new Sonic 3 and now have inspiration for writing....
I love Silver....so....
Also reader is Amy's sister...idk I had this idea and thought it was cute... enjoy!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Silver paced nervously near the edge of the forest, his silver fur glowing faintly in the afternoon sun. His thoughts were a jumbled mess, all revolving around Y/n, Amy's spirited younger sister. She was kind, confident, and had a contagious laugh that echoed in his mind whenever he thought about her.
Desperate for advice, Silver decided to turn to someone who seemed to know a thing or two about relationshipsâSonic. Probably not the best idea...
He zipped into the clearing where Sonic was relaxing under a tree. "Sonic, I need your help."
Sonic cracked an eye open and smirked. "What's up, future boy?"
Silver hesitated, rubbing the back of his neck. "I... I think I like someone, but I donât know how to tell them."
Sonic sat up, his smirk growing wider. "Oh, ho, this is gonna be good. Who's the lucky lady? Wait, let me guess... Itâs Blaze, isnât it?"
Silver groaned in frustration. "No, it's not Blaze! Ugh, forget it, this was a mistake."
Sonic, thoroughly amused, leaned back against the tree, hands behind his head. "Aw, come on, donât get all huffy. Just tell her how you feel. Be honest. And maybe donât act too jumpy around her?? Might scare her off!"
"Thanks for nothing!" Silver snapped, storming off as Sonicâs laughter echoed behind him.
Silver stopped in the forest, leaning against a tree, his frustration boiling over. He clenched his fists and muttered, "Why did I think he would actually help?"
"Silver?" Y/nâs voice called softly.
Silver froze, his heart skipping a beat. He turned to see her standing a few feet away, her e/c eyes filled with concern. "Are you okay? You looked upset."
He sighed heavily, trying to compose himself. "Iâm fine. Just... frustrated."
Y/n walked closer, her curiosity evident. "You sure? You can talk to me, you know."
Silver hesitated before blurting out, "I like someone, but I donât know how to tell them."
Y/nâs expression faltered for a split second before she forced a smile. "Oh, I see. Well, maybe just be direct. Tell them how you feel. Youâre a good guy, Silver. Iâm sure theyâll see that."
Silver furrowed his brow, her words sinking in. He repeated softly, âTell them how I feelâŠâ
Y/n nodded, her smile kind but tinged with sadness. âExactly. Itâs the only way to know for sure.â
Silverâs heart pounded in his chest. Summoning every ounce of courage, he took a step closer to her. âI just did.â
Y/n blinked, confused at first, but as his words registered, her eyes widened. âWait... what?â
Silverâs face flushed a deep red as he gestured nervously toward her. âI... I was talking about you, Y/n..â
Rubyâs cheeks turned a brilliant shade of pink. âOhâŠâ she whispered, stunned.
Terrified of her reaction, Silver panicked. In a last-ditch effort to salvage his courage, he leaned forward and pressed a quick, nervous kiss to her cheek. âI... Iâm sorry, I have to go!â he stammered before vanishing in a flash of psychic energy.
Y/n stood there, her hand on her cheek where heâd kissed her, her heart racing. A slow, genuine smile spread across her face as she whispered, âYou dork...â
ââââââââââââââââââââââââ
Y/n couldnât wipe the smile off her face as she walked back to Amyâs house. Her fingers gently brushed against her cheek, where Silverâs lips had barely touched. She felt light, almost as if she were floating, the whole interaction replaying in her mind.
When she reached Amyâs place, she opened the door to find her sister sitting on the couch, flipping through a magazine. Amy looked up and immediately froze, her eyes narrowing suspiciously. âWhatâs that look for?â she asked, pointing at Y/nâs flushed face and the dreamy grin she couldnât hide.
âWhat look?â Y/n said, trying and failing to act nonchalant as she kicked off her shoes and tried to head upstairs.
âOh, no, youâre not getting away that easily!â Amy sprang up, blocking Y/n's path. âThatâs not your normal face. Youâre blushing! Spill it, Y/n. What happened?â
Y/n hesitated, her smile faltering. âItâs nothing, Amy, seriouslyââ
Amy gasped, clasping her hands together. âDid someone kiss you? Oh my gosh, they did, didnât they?! Who was it? Was it someone I know? Was it Silver?!â
Y/n groaned, knowing there was no escaping Amyâs relentless questioning. She sighed and plopped down on the couch, hiding her face in her hands. âOkay, fine! Yes, it was Silver. He told me he liked me and then kissed me on the cheek before disappearing like the awkward mess he is.â
Amy let out a high-pitched squeal of excitement, practically bouncing in place. âOh, my gosh! I knew it! I knew he had a thing for you. Heâs been staring at you like a love-struck puppy every time we hang out. This is so cute! You have to tell me everything he saidâwait, no, tell me how you feel first. Do you like him back?â
Y/n peeked at her sister through her fingers, a shy smile tugging at her lips. âYeah⊠I think I do. Heâs sweet, and honestly, Iâve kind of liked him for a while now. But I didnât think he felt the same until today.â
Amy let out another excited squeal and grabbed Y/nâs hands. âThis is amazing! You and Silver, my sister and one of my best friendsâitâs perfect! You two are going to be so adorable together.â
Before Y/n could reply, a knock at the door interrupted them. Y/nâs eyes widened in panic, her face paling. âWhat if thatâs him? Amy, you answer it. I canâtâIâm not ready!â
Amy rolled her eyes but went to the door, muttering, âYouâre such a dork sometimes.â She opened the door, expecting Silver, but instead, Sonic leaned casually against the frame, his signature grin firmly in place.
âHey, Ames,â Sonic said smoothly, stepping inside and wrapping an arm around her waist. He glanced over at Y/n, who was peeking nervously around the corner, her face still pink. âWell, well, if it isnât little miss blushy. Whatâs got you so flustered?â
Amy smacked his arm playfully. âSonic, donât tease her. Sheâs had a *big* day.â
Sonic raised an eyebrow. âBig day, huh? Let me guess⊠Silver finally grew a spine and told her how he feels?â
Y/n groaned, hiding her face again. âWhy does everyone know about this except me?â
âBecause Silverâs not exactly subtle,â Sonic said with a chuckle. âHeâs been tripping over himself around you for months. Took him long enough to say something, though.â
Amy smirked, leaning into Sonicâs side. âDonât worry, Y/n. Sonic might be annoying, but heâs right. Silver likes you a lot, and if you like him back, then this is just the beginning of something really special.â
Y/n lowered her hands, her cheeks still warm but her smile returning. âYou think so?â
Amy nodded firmly. âI know so. Now, come on, we need to figure out what youâre going to say when Silver shows up again.â
âWait,â Y/n said, panicking slightly. âYou donât think heâs coming back today, do you?â
Amy grinned mischievously. âOh, I wouldnât put it past him. Better be ready, sis.â
Sonic grinned, clearly enjoying the moment far too much. âOh, Y/n, you have no idea,â he said cheekily, stepping aside and revealing Silver, who was awkwardly pressed against the wall outside, his silver fur slightly ruffled and his face a deep shade of red.
âSonic!â Silver hissed, clearly panicking. âI wasnât ready for this!â
âYouâre welcome, buddy,â Sonic replied with a laugh, patting Silverâs back. Then he turned to Amy and looped an arm around her waist. âCome on, Ames, weâve got a date to get to.â
âWhat? Now?â Amy exclaimed, glancing between Y/n and Silver with a sly smile. âYouâre leaving them alone?â
âExactly,â Sonic said with a wink, already pulling her toward the door. âHave fun, lovebirds!â
Before Y/n could process what was happening, Sonic had pushed Silver into the house, the door closing behind him with a loud click. The sudden momentum sent Silver stumbling forward, and Y/n instinctively reached out to steady him, her hands gripping his forearms to keep him from falling.
The world seemed to stop for a moment. Y/n looked up, her wide ruby-red eyes locking with Silverâs golden ones. They were closeâcloser than she had expectedâand the air between them was charged with nervous energy.
Silver swallowed hard, his voice barely above a whisper. âHi.â
Y/n blinked, her cheeks flushing an even deeper pink. âHi,â she replied softly.
They stayed like that for a few moments, neither knowing what to say or do. Silverâs hands hovered near her shoulders, unsure if he should step back or hold on. Y/nâs grip on his forearms tightened slightly, her heart racing so fast she thought it might burst.
âIâuhââ Silver started, then stopped, his brain failing him completely.
Y/nâs lips quirked into a nervous smile. âYouâre not very good at this, are you?â
Silver groaned, closing his eyes in embarrassment. âNot at all.â
Her soft laugh broke the tension slightly, and she finally let go of his arms, though her hands lingered just a second longer than necessary. âItâs okay. I think itâs kind of⊠cute.â
Silverâs eyes shot open, and he looked at her with a mixture of hope and disbelief. âYou do?â
She nodded, her smile growing. âYeah. But you donât have to be so nervous, Silver. Itâs just me.â
âThatâs the problem,â Silver muttered under his breath, though Ruby caught it. She tilted her head curiously, but before she could ask what he meant, Silver took a deep breath, his hands finally resting lightly on her shoulders.
âY/n,â he said, his voice trembling slightly, âI⊠I meant everything I said earlier. I really, really like you. And if you donât feel the same, thatâs okay, but I just needed you to know.â
Y/nâs heart skipped a beat. She stared at him, his sincerity and vulnerability written all over his face. Slowly, she smiled, her voice soft and warm. âYouâre such a dork, Silver.â
His face fell slightly. âOh⊠right. Yeah, Iââ
She cut him off by stepping closer, kissing his cheek and wrapping her arms around him in a hug. âBut I like you too,â she whispered against his shoulder.
Silver froze for a moment before his arms slowly came up to hug her back. His face was beet red, but a smile broke out across his face as relief and happiness washed over him.
Outside, Sonic and Amy peeked through a window, grinning like proud matchmakers. âTold you this would work,â Sonic said smugly.
Amy rolled her eyes but couldnât hide her own smile. âAlright, alright. You were rightâfor once.â
So, I've recently beat this game called, First Cut, where you play as a mercenary Samurai (or Ronin? Since you looked pretty washed up) you get hired to kill a bunch of bad guys. What made it unique, was that one hit and you're dead, which made it more fun, challenging, and realistic.
Which brings me to this request. I wanna make a request for Gwen, Aurelia, Monika, and Renee (CPC). How do they react to finding out that their sweet s/o used to work as an assassin, a sword for hire when they were still in Japan?
Gwen, Monika, Renee, Aurelia
This was super cute!! I don't know much about Samurai (unless you count TMNT or Mortal Kombat part of it) soooo I hope you enjoy this, I did my best!
Gwen
-Shock and Concern: Gwen is initially taken aback, wide-eyed and speechless. She had no idea her kind and gentle partner had such a dangerous past. Her first reaction is to worry about their safety, asking if they were ever in danger or if those days still haunt them.
- Wanting to Understand: Despite the shock, Gwen would want to understand the readerâs past, asking them why they became a mercenary. Sheâd be genuinely curious but also concerned about how it affected them emotionally.
- Loyal Support: Even with the surprise, Gwenâs love wouldnât waver. Sheâd offer quiet, empathetic support, perhaps even asking if the reader ever wants to talk about it or seek closure from that chapter in their life.
Aurelia
- Cool Curiosity: Aurelia might find the revelation intriguing. While still surprised, sheâd probably respond, writing something like, âAn assassin? Thatâs impressive, honestly. Did you ever use cool tricks or disguises?â
- Slight Worry: Aurelia would have a lingering concern about whether that life could ever pull the reader back in. Sheâd hope theyâre done with that part of their life and that nothing from their past could come to harm them now.
- Real Talk: Once the worry is over, Aurelia would ask some serious questions, like if they had any regrets or if anyone from their past might try to track them down. Beneath her cool demeanor, she'd be fiercely protective of them.
Monika
- Complete Surprise: Monika would be completely taken aback. The idea of her sweet, loving partner once being a sword-for-hire would feel like a total contrast to the person she knows. Sheâd probably ask, âWaitâ*you*? An assassin?!â
- Fashion Spin: After the initial shock wears off, Monika might focus on the aesthetic side of things, asking what kind of outfits or armor they wore while working as a mercenary. She'd want to know if their sword techniques were as graceful as their presence now.
- Teasing Admiration: She would likely tease the reader a bit about their past, playfully pretending to fear them or jokingly asking them to teach her some sword moves, impressed by their skill and the intensity of their history.
Renée
- Deep Thoughtfulness: RenĂ©e would be quiet at first, processing the information carefully. She might ask, âWhy didnât you tell me sooner?â not out of anger but out of concern for why they kept it hidden.
- Healing Perspective: RenĂ©e, being health-conscious and focused on well-being, would ask how the reader feels about their past now. Sheâd worry if they carry emotional scars or unresolved guilt from their time as an assassin.
- Compassion: Sheâd offer support, both emotionally and physically, making sure they feel safe and loved despite their darker past. RenĂ©e would even suggest meditation or calming practices to help if they have lingering stress from that time.
BWAHAHA HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
V x Fem! Drone! Reader
....if y'all couldn't tell- I've got a soft spot for V and there's not enough writings on her....I also love this idea, especially when Uzi jumps onto her like a lil parasite omg..
Anywayyy enjoy!! I will be taking a break of some other writings to do requests!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
V stalked through the rusted remains of the factory, her processors already bracing for impact. It always came at the worst timesâjust as she was focusing, just as she let her guard down. A blur of black and yellow would come screaming from the ceiling or an air vent, latching onto her like a parasite. And every time she peeled the annoying little cockroach off, Y/n would have some smug, flirty remark ready.
But today?
Nothing.
V made it across the main floor without so much as a rustle from the rafters. No blur of metal limbs. No annoying weight suddenly clinging to her shoulders.
She shouldâve been relieved. She wasnât.
Fifteen more steps. No pounce.
Okay. Weird.
Vâs optics flickered, scanning her surroundings. The place was silentâtoo silent. Normally, by now, sheâd be yanking Y/n off and enduring some dumb quip like, "Miss me? Youâre really bad at dodging, babes." But all she got was the distant creak of metal in the wind.
Her claws flexed, irritation bubbling up.
âAlright,â she snapped, voice echoing off the steel walls. âWhere the hell are you?â
Silence.
Vâs eye twitched.
She marched forward, kicking over a rusted crate. âWhat, you finally got bored of being insufferable?â Another crate went flying. âOr did someone finally squish you? âCause if so, I wanna shake their hand.â
Still nothing.
Her frown deepened. She hated this. It was too quiet, too still. It made her chest feelâughâweird.
V whirled around, optics glowing. âIf you donât drop on me in the next ten seconds, Iâm gonna find you and rip your stupid littleââ
She didnât get to finish.
A weight slammed onto her back, sending her stumbling forward. Arms wrapped around her shoulders, legs locking around her waist.
âAw, V, I knew you cared~â Y/n cooed, chin resting on Vâs head.
V froze. Then her claws clenched.
âYOU LITTLEââ She yanked Y/n off, holding her up by the collar like an oversized cat. âWhere the hell were you!?â
Y/n smirked. âOh? Did you miss me~?â
Vâs circuits shorted for half a second before she let out an exasperated groan, throwing Y/n into the nearest scrap pile. âI HATE YOU.â
Lying in the heap, Y/n just grinned, optics twinkling with mischief.
Oh yeah. V was so doomed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sound of distant explosions echoed through Leo's mind as he tossed and turned in his sleep. The Kraang invasion replayed vividly in his nightmare: the city in ruins, his brothers fighting valiantly but being overwhelmed, the despair that had clawed at his heart. Raph being taken and Kraang possessed, Donnie's broken battle shell, Mikey's tears- He jolted awake, gasping for breath, his chest heaving with the remnants of panic. It felt real.
For a moment, Leo lay still, staring at the ceiling of his room, trying to shake off the nightmare. The familiar surroundings did little to comfort him, and the images of the invasion lingered in the corners of his mind. Deciding he needed a distraction, he quietly slipped out of bed and made his way to the kitchen.
The apartment was silent, having stayed with his s/o for the night, the only sound being the gentle hum of the refrigerator. Leo flicked on the coffee maker, watching as it gurgled to life, the rich aroma of brewing coffee filling the air. He leaned against the counter, rubbing his eyes, trying to shake off the residual fear.
As he poured himself a cup, he heard soft footsteps approaching. He turned to see his s/o, their hair slightly tousled from sleep, padding out of his room. They gave him a sleepy smile before wrapping their arms around him from behind, resting their head against his shell.
"Leo, what are you doing up?" Y/n murmured, their voice soft and concerned.
He forced a smile, trying to play it off. "Just couldn't sleep. Figured I'd make some coffee."
They didn't buy it. They never did. With a gentle but firm tug, y/n pulled him away from the counter, guiding him back to the living room. They sat down on the couch, patting the spot beside them. "Come on, talk to me."
Reluctantly, Leo sat down, his shoulders slumping. Y/n rubbed his shell comfortingly, their touch soothing the tension that had built up in his muscles. "Was it a nightmare?" they asked, their voice barely above a whisper.
He nodded, not trusting himself to speak just yet. Y/n continued to rub his shell, their touch grounding him, bringing him back to the present. "The Kraang invasion," he finally admitted, his voice hoarse. "I keep seeing it... hearing it."
Y/n pulled him closer, letting him rest his head on their shoulder. "You don't have to go through this alone, Leo. I'm here for you."
He sighed, the weight of the nightmare beginning to lift as he felt their warmth, their steady presence. "It's just... it was so real. I thought we were going to lose everything."
"But you didn't," Y/n reminded him gently. "You and your brothers fought back. You saved the city. You saved each other."
He nodded again, feeling a bit more at ease. "I know. It's just hard to forget."
Y/n held him tighter, their hand still rubbing soothing circles on his shell. "I understand. But you don't have to carry this burden by yourself. We're a team, remember?"
A small smile tugged at his lips. "Yeah, we are."
Y/n kissed the top of his head before leaning back, coaxing him to lie down with them on the couch. "Let's try to get some more sleep, okay? We'll face whatever comes next together."
As he nestled against them, feeling their heartbeat steady and strong beneath his cheek, the remnants of the nightmare finally began to fade. Their presence was a balm to his troubled mind, and he let himself relax, the tension melting away.
With their gentle touch and reassuring words, Leo found himself drifting back to sleep, the nightmare banished by the warmth and love of the one who held him close.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Context:
Y/N arrives at the home of one of the School Bus Graveyard gang members in the middle of a severe rainstorm. They're drenched, shivering, and visibly beaten up, having been kicked out by their parents with nothing but the clothes on their back.
Ashlynn:
Immediate Concern: Ashlynn is instantly alarmed when she sees Y/N at her doorstep. She quickly pulls them inside, her heart breaking at the sight of their bruises and soaked clothes.
Gentle Care: Ashlynn carefully helps Y/N out of their wet clothes and wraps them in a warm blanket. She speaks softly, trying not to overwhelm Y/N, but her eyes reflect the deep concern she feels. Sheâs gentle as she cleans up any visible injuries and makes sure Y/N is comfortable.
Silent Fury: Though Ashlynn is kind and comforting to Y/N, inside, sheâs seething with anger toward Y/Nâs parents. Sheâs already thinking about how to help Y/N in the long run, determined to make sure they never have to go back to such a toxic environment.
Tyler:
Protective Response: Tylerâs protective instincts kick in the moment he sees Y/N on his doorstep. He immediately pulls them inside, closing the door against the storm and guiding them to a warm spot in the house.
Quiet Reassurance: Tyler doesnât say much at first, instead focusing on getting Y/N dry and warm. He offers them his own clothes, making sure theyâre as comfortable as possible. His hands might shake with the effort to remain calm, but he does his best to reassure Y/N that theyâre safe now.
Subdued Anger: Inside, Tyler is furious with Y/Nâs parents. Heâs already thinking about what he can do to help Y/N in the long term, even if it means confronting their parents or finding them a new place to stay. Heâs ready to do whatever it takes to keep Y/N safe.
Taylor:
Immediate Action: Taylor springs into action as soon as she sees Y/N. She pulls them inside, her mind racing as she takes in their disheveled and injured state. Sheâs determined to make them feel safe and loved, no matter what.
Comforting Distraction: Taylor might try to lighten the mood a bit, making jokes or talking about anything to distract Y/N from the pain and fear. Sheâs not ignoring the seriousness of the situation, but she knows Y/N could use a bit of normalcy to help them calm down.
Determined Protection: Taylorâs playful demeanor hides a fierce determination. Sheâs already plotting ways to make sure Y/N never has to go back to their parents, even if it means they have to stay with her permanently. Sheâll protect Y/N with everything she has.
Aiden:
Overwhelmed Concern: Aiden is immediately overwhelmed with concern when he sees Y/N on his doorstep. He pulls them inside, his voice shaky as he asks what happened. His heart breaks at the sight of their injuries.
Comforting Presence: Aiden wraps Y/N in the warmest blanket he can find and makes them a hot drink, trying to soothe them in any way he can. He might even start to tear up, his emotions getting the best of him as he tries to comfort Y/N.
Emotional Support: Aiden stays close to Y/N, holding their hand or offering a reassuring hug. Heâs deeply affected by whatâs happened and wants Y/N to know theyâre not alone. Heâll be their emotional rock, even if heâs struggling to keep it together himself.
Ben:
Silent Shock: Ben is struck silent when he sees Y/N at his door, beaten and soaked. He quickly pulls them inside, but his mind is racing with emotionsâanger, worry, and a fierce protectiveness all mixing together.
Tender Care: Ben is gentle as he helps Y/N change into dry clothes and tends to their injuries. He doesnât say much, but his actions speak volumes. Heâs focused on making sure Y/N feels safe and cared for.
Burning Anger: Inside, Ben is furious. Heâs never been this angry before, and it scares him how much he wants to hurt those whoâve hurt Y/N. But for now, he pushes that aside, focusing on being there for Y/N and figuring out how to protect them going forward.
Logan:
Calm Efficiency: Loganâs first instinct is to pull Y/N inside and assess the situation calmly. Heâs worried, but he knows panicking wonât help. He quickly gets Y/N out of their wet clothes and into something warm, offering quiet words of comfort as he does so.
Medical Attention: Logan carefully examines Y/Nâs injuries, offering basic first aid while suggesting they see a doctor if needed. Heâs methodical in his care, making sure nothing is overlooked.
Long-Term Thinking: While caring for Y/N, Logan is already planning out the next steps. Heâs considering everything from legal action against Y/Nâs parents to finding a more permanent solution for their safety and well-being. He wonât rest until Y/N is secure and far from harm.
The gang collectively is affected by whatâs happened and determined to make sure Y/N never has to go through such an ordeal again. Together, they form an unbreakable support system for Y/N, ensuring theyâre safe, loved, and cared for as they recover from the trauma.

Overstimulated/Overworked Donnie x GN! Reader
Fluff/Character comfort
I love Donnie and ik some people need comfort. For me, personally when I get overstimulated, I get super touch sensitive to everything and need to sit on a hard floor and draw small patterns on my hands unless someone does it for me-
~Writer Icy<3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Things can get busy sometimes, especially with Donatello, the genius of the group, who was often stuck in his lab per usual, surrounded by various gadgets and glowing screens of all his tech. His mind was sharp and relentless and it often pushed him into long hours of inventing and strategizing. It was like his tech and projects to help his brothers or himself in battle, often consumed him.
But recently, thereâs been a distraction in the lair. April had introduced Y/n to the guys a little over a year ago and it had been an enjoyable way to make a new friend for them all. Well, everyone except Donnie.
Donnie was never good with feelings, âYes, Feelings, hot, cold, hungry, sleepy-â
It was hard enough for Mikey to get him to even consider his feelings but Y/n made him feel things he wasnât used to feeling and it stressed him out. On top of all the projects, ideas and everything piled up for him to work on, he now had his new friend consuming another part of his mind.
One particularly stressful evening, Donatello found himself overwhelmed. His projects were piling up, his mind racing with too many ideas, and the pressure of his responsibilities pressing down on him. He could feel the familiar sense of overstimulation creeping in, the world around him becoming too much to handle. The beeping, whirring and all his tech making noise along with his work mask and anything he put his hands on seemed to make it worse. He sat at his desk, head in his hands, trying to force himself to calm down but it felt like the world was closing in on him, everything feeling too much all at once.
Y/n had gotten to the lair not long after April had told them Donnie had been working for a few days and hadnât come out unless it was for another cup of coffee. They got their and went straight to Donnieâs lab, knocking softly. Upon not getting an answer, they peeked into the room and spotted the purple clad genius with his head in his hands. They rushed over to him, feeling worried and nervous for their closest terrapin friend.
"Hey, Donnie," they said softly, not wanting to startle him. "You okay?"
Donatello lifted his head, eyes filled with a mixture of frustration and exhaustion as they darted around the room, scanning their friendâs face. He shook his head slowly, unable to find the words to explain how he felt. His hands had been shaking and his breathing was irregular. Y/n knew he would get overworked but theyâd never seen him this bad. They walked over and crouched in front of his chair. âHere let's do this differently,â Y/n coaxed him out of his chair and over to a less cluttered area of his lab, letting him sit down on the cold, hard floor. Â
Sensing his inability to speak, they sat down beside him and put their hands up to show they wouldn't touch him. âCan I touch your shoulder D?â They asked softly. Donnie simply shook his head no and they nodded, understanding he was definitely touch sensitive to almost everything. âCan I sit next to you?â He nodded. It was quiet for a few minutes other than the occasional beeping of his machines. After the silence, Y/n decided to ask,
"Is it your work that's overwhelming you?" Addi asked.
He nodded.
"Too many projects at once?"
Another nod.
"Do you need to take a break from it all?"
A hesitant nod followed.
Y/n smiled softly. "Okay." Their calm and steady presence provided the grounding he needed to slowly calm down.
Eventually, as the tension began to ease, Donatello leaned on Y/n's shoulder, feeling an unfamiliar but comforting sense of peace. Feeling him relax against them, they filled the silence, âCan I try something D?â He closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them, looking at her with a mix of confusion and vulnerability and nodded. They gently took his hand and traced soft patterns on top of it. His breathing hitched until he felt his heart rate slow as he realized this was helping him focus on something else other than the things around him.Â
"Y/n," he began slowly, "I am a smart individual, I could rearrange space if I wanted. I understand the most complex equations and situations...but I don't understand why when it comes to you, things are harder to think about."
Y/n looked at him confused before giving a knowing smile. "Donnie, have you ever thought about the possibility of having feelings for someone?"
Donatello hesitated, then nodded. "Yes but feelings aren't helpful for I, the great Donatello-"
âDonnie,â His heart skipped a beat at their voice. âDonnie. Feelings can be confusing, especially when they're new. You might not understand them to the fullest but they're also a beautiful part of being who we are."
Donatello felt a warmth spread through him, a new kind of understanding dawning. "I... I think I feel things for thou..." he mumbled, not daring to look up at his newly found reason of his feelings.
They smiled, eyes softening as they knew what Donnie meant. "I like you too, Donnie. And if you're comfortable, I can help you figure out whatever feelings you want to understand.â He finally looked up at them, his eyes full of awe as he nodded. They let a soft laugh through their nose as they relaxed on the floor, relishing the feeling of being in one another's calm presence.
