she could feel it each time they were in the same room, not only was his touch gentle but so was his gaze. it was as if she had come back to life a china doll. if she wanted anything, it was to prove that she didn't need to be treated as such. leaning against a bannister, the cool marble against her warm back caused a calm to wash over eleanor. ever since coming back, it felt as if he was avoiding her and yet also provided her with comfort. the whole ordeal caused her head to feel dizzy. so she spent time with her family, being with her sisters and trying to catch up on the years she missed.
yet, she yearned for nikolas, he was somehow she always turned to when feeling overwhelmed. just as she was thinking about him, their eyes met across the room. a shiver ran up her spine, one so different than before. instantly she blushed, feeling as if she was seeing him for the very first time. elle decided to make the first move, her feet basically floating off the floor as she made her way to her love. when she got to him, she placed a hand on his chest and smiled sweetly. "i'd know your eyes anywhere." she admitted to him so easily.

nikolas had spotted eleanor at the enchanted evening masquerade . even the mask she wore wasn't enough to stop him from spotting the brunet across the room in her cloudy blue gown . she appeared god sent , and other words she was a perfect , vision . yet , that didn't stop the tribrid from wanting to keep his distance from her , even though everything in his body was scream to be near her . the tall male felt guilty for his absence in her life but how else could he prove that she deserved better . regardless , of the facts , it didn't stop nikolas's piercing blue eyes from searching the crowd for her .
Being back here makes me hot in the face Hot blood in my pulsing veins Heavy memories weighing on my brain Hot and heavy in the basement of your parents' place You used to be so sweet Now you're a firecracker on a crowded street Couldn't look away even if I wanted Try to walk away but I come back to the start
And I burn for you And you don't even know my name If you asked me to I'd give you everything
Ever since the first day that I met you, I have felt everything for you.

one moment, eleanor was about to enjoy her last s'more of the night, the next she saw the most interesting light in the sky, followed by the feeling as if the sweet treat in her hand was going to poison her. throwing the beautiful crafted delicacy right into the bonfire, she then jumped back and began to look at the people around her. all of them had the same look of fear in their eyes. what had trigged this distress out of nowhere? but she couldn't question it long as the morbid thoughts bubbled in her chest once more. every single person around her was a threat, hell the last time she died it was at the hands of someone trusted, so what was to stop total strangers?
gripping her belongings, elle made a dash for the exit. the only thought on her mind was survival from the scary world that surrounded.
josie quickly shook her head no to his question, work had not been kind today, honestly nothing had. after news of the murders hit, everyone went into a frenzy, quickly taking their things to head home where they assume they were safe. "the job is a little hard when everyone rushes out of the room scared. did you hear about the murders?" normally she wouldn't ask this question in the open, but it seemed as if klaus and her were the only ones left in the museum. "if i do need any magical paintings you know you're the first person i'd ask." the siphoner smirked before placing all the papers back in the folder.
"is mom holding an emergency meeting with the news?"
Klaus ignored his first instinct which was to compel the fool that ran into Josie to pick all the papers up for the both of them, but he knew better than that after this long. Instead he gave the fool a dismissive wave and told him to leave and moved to pick up the papers with Josie. "Work being kind to you?" He questioned. He would say it had been year since he had seen her but that just wasn't true given the phone calls and the texts and the video chats Caroline had with them all. "Do you need to find another magically rare piece for the gallery?" He joked, knowing he could pull one out of storage anytime.
by the time gabriela found tyler after being seperated in the crowd, she noticed that he had two drinks in hand. a smile grew on her lips, as she walked over to her husband. still in awe with the way he looked tonight. it didn't matter that raymis was back, as long as she had her husband nothing stood in their way. taking the other glass from his hand, her fingers rubbed gently against his hand, feeling content any time his skin touched hers. "there are a lot of things that will probably happen tonight that aren't good ideas while a killer is on the loose." winking before taking a sip of her drink, the demon stood by tyler's side, her hip resting next to his as they scanned the room. "it's going to be much harder to spot who it could be with everyone hiding their faces."
shrugging, she turned to face him and draped an arm around his shoulders, her face getting closer to his ear. "who owns this bar?"

tyler had gone to the masquerade enchanted ball with his wife , gabriela . yet , they had separated momentarily while he left to get them drinks . the lockwolf took two of the champagne glasses that were offered by a waiter before he placed the champagne glass to his lips . " a masquerade ball while a killer is still out on the loose can't be a good idea . " he breathed , his inner thought brought to light .

her body seemed to collapse, but never hit the ground thanks to caroline's abilities, of being both a concerned mother and vampire. the question ran through her head and eleanor wanted to answer it. she saw someone before becoming conscious but had no idea who it could be. "i saw someone, and they said something to me but i can't remember what." there was no telling how long it took to walk from the cemetery to here, but from the way her feet and legs felt it must've been a few hours. "i dug out of my own grave, so the world is spinning."
at first she thought she was hallucinating. that it was maybe some trick of the light or something because what her eyes were seeing did not seem possible. you'd think nothing would surprise her considering the path her life has taken. how many impossible things had happened to her ? but here stood someone that she knew died. someone her son had lost, someone that would have become her daughter in law. "oh my god, ellie, " shock evident in her voice. an arm quickly wrapping around the other in hopes to comfort her. " we'll figure it out, honey. " did she have a clue ? absolutely not. but she wasn't about to let eleanor wonder around confused and alone. " what's the last thing you remember ? "
josie had been in a mood since her and hope's european dark magic adventure. despite loving her job, deep down it always felt like something was missing because that was reality. a very part of her soul had left her body the day of the merge, never to return. it haunted her to this day, every dream being turned into a nightmare of the same ending over and over again. with a coffee in hand and headphones blaring music to help wake her bones, josie managed to catch a glimpse of someone she hadn't seen in awhile.
"mia?" she questioned to herself, before walking over to the other and smiling once certain. "i know where you parents are, welcome back or are you just visiting?" the siphoner always wondered where mia up and went to, it seemed as if it happened in the middle of the night.
Mia climbed out of her cab and paid them and then stepped into the street, looking up at the city streets. It was hard to ignore how big the unknown city was when all she had was an address for her parents new place. "I should have got a better map," she muttered to herself before looking up and spotting someone. "Do you think you can help me?" She asked. "I'm looking for this-" she said, holding out the music page she had written the address on. "House... can you point me in the right direction?"

her lips pursed as she thought about it, the idea didn't sound so bad, having another person to talk about everything going on. that was the siphoner's speciality, worrying about what couldn't be controlled. lizzie was often the one to tell her that and for so long that was gone. so she lost her way, grew distant from others. now her twin was back and she felt something other than heartbreak. "okay, why not?" she questioned, to both herself and the other. "you might grow tired of me though, there's a lot of trauma going on." it was hard to see a therapist when most of your issues were based on the supernatural.
takashi wasn't able to read minds but he agreed that her face did give it away . " sometimes talking about it helps ." he spoke . takashi had a very strict upbringings and being the oldest he had to take care of his two siblings and recent assumed the role full time after his father died . most things the fox had to do on his own and apart of him was still leaning , while going to the loyola university and teaching martial art in the uptown district . " i could be you're sounding board if you like . "
