I just thought about something.
EXP in Undertale is something used to quantify the amount of pain you inflicted to others.
LV is something used to quantify how much you can hurt someone, your capacity of hurting increases every time you hurt because the more you hurt, the more you distance yourself, the more easily it is for you to hurt again.
This is the basic, right? Along with the fact you will hurt more if someone doesn't expect you to hurt them and therefore you will gain more EXP. This is shown with betrayal kills, and it's a popular thing in the fandom to say that you can gain EXP without killing by hurting emotionally. Example, Glitchtale. Another common thing to assume is that you can also increase your LV without actually hurting anyone, like in Undertale Yellow Genocide Route (Axis battle).
But is it possible for you to lower your LV without lowering your EXP? You can't change the fact you hurt them, you can't change the past, but if you somehow unlearn all the things you learned on hurting them, if you get close to them again, if you open yourself, would your LV lower? But most important of all, wouldn't it be as cool as heck? It's like a statement that you did mistakes, yes, but you are willing to amend them. In spite of those who say they can't change. Yes, you can. Stop saying you can't. This headcanon is going to make it into my story, it's just so cool.
I am Dragonflame, God of the game.
... Guess the time I spent on writing my AU is coming back to bite me.
I am Arran, god of the most important thing

Fun fact 1: you know how I said that for me physical DETERMINATION and mental determination are two different things? That actually is something canon in Undertale. Let me explain. In Legends of Localization, a book written by the translators of the game to explain the process of translating the game from english to japanese, to make the ideas clear to the translators Toby explained what exactly is determination in Undertale. This is the explanation:
So yeah, I thought it'd be fun to share, especially since many people haven't read the book. I remember watching a video of a theorist, hearing him talk about this note, and the next thing you know is that I changed my AU to include this information too. Thought it'd be nice to explain my reasoning.
Ok this is all, bye!
I am using a little OC of mine for this, since I think she really fits the Bad Sanses (ahem she's crazy ahem). We're in a scenario where she's been with the gang for a while now. There is no romanticism in this, I think it'll mainly be her interacting with the gang following the prompts. It's also a weird mix of canon, fanon and headcanon. I tried my best, but beware of the cringe >_<
Messing around with Ashes' pov again.
Every character belongs to its respective owner
Bad Sansuary belongs to @owl-bones
Ashes belongs to me
She ran. The shadows bent in the corner of her vision, closing in on her. She ran, as she chased after the silhouette that ran from her. She got closer and closer, the smell of fear in the air keeping her going. She bumped against a few obstacles, the shadows tearing at her and blood dripped on the ground as she kept going ignoring it. With one final sprint, she tackled the figure and pinned her against a tree, but the force of the tackle shattered some kind of invisible wall, shards of reality flying around them and reflecting her reflection a hundred, a thousand, a million of times. As the predator and the prey floated in the void, Ashes saw herself in the one she was hunting. Her stubborn, annoying old self, who survived through the horrors she was put through somehow, how she was before everything, the betrayals and the pain.
The fragments of reality stabbed through both of them, and Ashes saw tears filling the eyes of her old self. She just smiled, filled with madness as her blood flowed out of her body, and at one point the fragments became strings digging into both of them, and the face in front of her flashed from her own to all the people who she hurt and who hurt her, who she killed and who killed her.
She raised her knife, the motion hurting her but she couldn't stop, and she stabbed the faces shifting in front of her, a sharp pain filling her as well every time she plunged the knife into the shifting mold in front of her, the shadows and darkness filling her vision as she stabbed again and again.
Everything fell into the darkness.
When she woke up, she felt the copper taste of blood in her mouth. The voices were cackling, and she stared up at the ceiling before suddenly standing up, exiting her room and going to the kitchen. She needed to put something in her stomach.
Blood always made her hungry.
She found out she wasn't the only one awake in the middle of the night when she saw the lights on. Perfect. She really needed a distraction, someone to tease and confuse to avoid thinking about everything. She silently sneaked into the kitchen and spotted Horror, who was probably either stress eating or stress preparing a lot of food after the little stunt she had pulled a few days earlier. Eheheh... It was hilarious to watch.
She slowly sneaked up behind Horror and stole an apple, knowing he'd notice it was missing, then climbed on top of the fridge while he was turned away and hung upside down from it, her legs hooked on the top of it. She threw the apple at Horror, him snapping towards her but relaxing a little once he saw it was "only" her. He still remained a bit tense though, so a point for him. He stared at her with a confused expression, and she waved.
"Why hello there big guy, wasn't expecting to find you here. Having a bad night?~"
He turned away and towards the counter, not saying anything.
"Aw c'mon, don't give me the..."
Ashes somehow managed to open the fridge without falling from the position she was in, smirking a little
"... Cold shoulder now. C'mon, we're pals after all, no?"
She jumped down the fridge, going to sit on a counter besides Horror's food.
"Alright, I know you're still pissy from what I did, but listen, I am really sorry okay?"
She wasn't, but she didn't need to say that now did she? She doubted he would even believe her.
"How about we just chat instead? Just you, me, the voices..."
He actually looked at her weird as she mentioned the voices, but she ignored that. People always did that anyway, and if she found another one who heard voices it turned out they were hearing fake ones most of the time. She smiled and kept talking.
"I'll start! You're a good hunter, what do you do when your prey escapes?"
That was a risky move. Horror tensed up, like every time they mentioned his old home. He was probably feeling conflicted, his sadism and satisfaction to talk about hunting in conflict with his not wanting to think about his home. Ashes smiled internally, feeding off of the little amount of internal chaos she had created in him. Eventually, he settled for not answering again, his conflict simmering down, and she spoke up again.
"C'mon buddy, help an old pal in need, will you? I'm curious!"
He stayed silent, before answering.
"... Why are you asking me this? What kind of sick game are you playing now?"
"Why does anyone do anything? Pure, sheer boredom! Plusssss, I'm curious as to how you handle the situation. We both know how much experience you got in that regard"
She could see his struggle on his face. He was tempted and she knew it. When he eventually relented, Ashes giggled quietly
"... I usually try to lead it to trap itself. Corner it or exhaust it. Happy now?"
He was sour today. He had a really bad dream apparently.
Well that made two of them, now didn't it?
"Aw, sweetheart, thank you.~"
She jumped off of the counter, patting him on the back on her way out of the kitchen
"Welp, I'm gonna find something to set on fire. Cya big guy~"
She went out of the kitchen, holding an apple that she stole hidden from his view.
She grinned
It was always fun to mess with him.

LOVE SHOTGUN, I SHALL NOT BE DEFEATED!!!
I come from a three days long Speedrun of watching a playthrough of in Stars and Time and yes. Simply yes. I love this game. It has become one of my new hyperfixations.
(also I found out that I relate to Siffrin far too much for me to be normal but eh, it surely won't come back to bite at me when I least expect it to :3)
Ok, so.
I don't exactly know what I'm doing, this is the first time I post something on Tumblr, but anyway.
I want to present you an AU of Undertale that has been on my mind for a while, and here I intend to write the main things about it.
Practically, in this AU Frisk is an actual person, a separated entity from the Player that got themselves possessed by it. Kinda like Kris in Deltarune, yes. The difference between the two of them is that Frisk can't just extract their soul by force and so they're stuck in their own body, controlled by a superior entity (PLAYER). Frisk desperately wants to be freed, but when the Player inserts a command in the code of the game, plays yet another Pacifist run (of the many runs they already did) and fights Asriel, Frisk will learn that said freedom comes at the cost of their soul. During the last attack their soul literally breaks, despite it being impossible normally, and their code gets erased. Since they are a determination soul though, and determination can break the game, all the determination they produce gets condensed and forms a new body for them, so now they are a soulless, codeless and unstable entity that goes around risking an explosion of raw power at any moment. In all this mess, Chara gets fused with Frisk's conscience too, so now they are like one different entity from both Frisk and Chara. Meanwhile, in the "real world" the Player changes computer (because their old one crashed in the battle) and reopens their Undertale files. This causes the game to try and execute a True Reset, without much success since now nobody remembers anything, but the barrier is broken and Frisk's/Chara's situation is the same.
This is all the background you need to know to understand the general idea. I'm still working on the full-length story, it's on Quotev and I intend to post it on Wattpad too under the name of Soulless!tale. It's not yet finished, and I wrote down only a couple of chapters, so don't be mad at me. This is the first time I write something for someone to read, and I'm not American nor British, so forgive me if my english is bad.
This is all I wanted to say. I'm sorry if my rambling annoyed you, and I hope you will find my story amusing.

For this one I asked for help, like in a few other cases where I asked to different people, and my friend wanted it to be mentioned so that's why I'm telling this. Credits for the original idea (that I modified a bit) go to @rain0099

Horror wasn't angry. He wasn't furious, nor irritated. He wasn't annoyed.
He was straight up pissed.
He had been able to keep the anger in for a while, not reacting to anything Ashes did or said no matter the lengths she'd apparently go just to piss him off. He had been able to ignore everything, quietly holding his grudge instead of hurting Ashes in return. Meanwhile she kept pushing all his buttons, as if she wanted to see him snap, and purposely went out of her way just to see him suffer.
At first, it was only "innocent" things. Moving around some things in his room (he still had no idea how she managed to get in), stealing some things and hiding them around the castle or taking random small animals like birds or frogs and trapping them in his drawers or somewhere else in his room. Then, bored, she shifted her focus to the kitchen, doing the exact same things on the food and observing him as he searched around the castle just to see his face.
She was quick to notice how playing around with food took a much bigger reaction out of Horror than messing with his room, so she took it to the next level a few days after noticing that. She started to not only steal food just to retrieve it to the kitchen days later when it was rotten and mold had grown on it, but also to ruin perfectly good food by throwing toxic things in it while it was cooking, leaving him extremely distressed.
But she had reached the breaking point when she set fire to the kitchen, and as Horror was staring at the flames crackling in front of him, he felt a rage very similar to the one that brought him to destroy the Core back in his AU. He didn't care what would happen, or if there would be consequences to what he'd do. Now that Ashes had crossed the line, he made it his personal goal to make her regret ever doing that to him.
It took a few days to gather enough food to replace what had been lost, and a few more to prepare all the traps. Then he made sure that whatever Ashes did she wouldn't be able to escape the little game he prepared. He waited patiently for the right moment until everything was perfectly in place, hiding what he was doing to everyone else including the Boss and Dust and Killer. They didn't need to know, and he wouldn't want to get in trouble with the Boss.
Then, after he was done, he waited until Ashes' guard was low and he could take her out without anyone noticing. It wasn't easy to do but he still managed, knocking her out and dragging her into the area of the woods outside the castle he had filled with his traps. He knew Ashes was somewhat immortal, he had seen fatal attacks stab through her and her take them out like they were nothing, but she was still somewhat affected by the pain, seemingly becoming more broken and crazy every time she went through intense amount of it.
He waited until she woke up, observing her from the shadows as she slowly examined her situation like this was all some kind of game. It didn't take long for her to fall into the first trap, a rope snapping around her neck and dragging her into the air, suffocating her as she hanged and tried to get down with no success. He watched as she got free after a few minutes of slowly suffocating after the rope apparently snapped. He was a little disappointed it hadn't held very long, but he was immediately satisfied again as Ashes fell into a bear trap that snapped around the lower half of her body, barely getting free before an axe stabbed through her after flying off of a tree and she was actually showing some signs of difficulty.
She forced her torn body to move forward, probably searching for an exit but only managing to fall through more and more traps as Horror could basically see whatever sanity she had left dwindle down with each and every painful trap she fell into, getting cut and stabbed and burned alive and drowned, and sometimes Horror himself would carry out the executions by taking advantage of her fragility and ambushing her directly, "killing" her with great sadism.
After a very long while of basically torturing Ashes, he left her alone there and got back to the castle, pretending like nothing happened. Odds were that the freak wouldn't remember a thing, and he'd be able to get his revenge without getting into trouble for it. He knew Ashes probably wouldn't suddenly be nice to him, but he knew that she wouldn't mess with him ever again, and he still got his revenge so as far as it concerned him, if she didn't do anything else against him they were even now.
She would learn to be very careful around him from now on
