in the week following the elections in venezuela the government has:

Announced his (Maduro's) win by a margin of 600k votes when there were still supposed to be over 2M votes to count

Refused to give the detailed election data as our constitution indicates he should, in the estimated time (72H)

Arrested 2,000 people (Including dozens of minors, the youngest known being a 13 years old girl) AND bragged about doing so, claiming they would arrest thousands more

Killed about 19 people (including Isaias Fuenmayor, a 15 years old who was SHOT IN THE NECK)

Created an online system for their supporters to report their neighbors to the police

Installed police checkpoints where they take your phone and check your social media activity

Declared that they will build 2 maximum security prisons in 15 days to "re-educate protestors", and "putting them to work on the streets for free". This is from the same government that claims to not have money due to the sanctions to better the infrastructure of public services all over the country. It's also Ironic, for a president who claimed chavistas were "the jews of the 21st century".

Ordered the capture of main opposition leaders

Cut off diplomatic relations with 9 Latin American countries who demanded democracy

Detained and deported multiple news-workers from outside of the country, who confirmed in the detention cells with them and other adults there were multiple minors

Fired government employees suspected of voting for the opposition

Annulled the passports of suspected Venezuelan freedom activists

And you still have people all over the global north claiming it's "just a socialist government being attacked by the far right"

My family and I have been suffering and going through the hardest days we have ever experienced in our life . Things are very hard to get and and sometimes unattainable.😭😓

Our sufferings and hardship started on the first day of the war when all our possessions were completely destroyed and burned. We have become displaced and homeless , finding ourselves in a small tent in streets with no means of life. We lack every single necessary thing of life; food, water, hygiene essentials, and other necessities have become scarce and rare.

Our life has been tough and harsh all the last time. No cooking gas , nor cooking tools exist . We struggle to prepare a small meal of food.

No bakeries are available. Everything seems hard and unbelievable.😭

This is a part of burying the dead. We also face some problems in the process of buying our dead people as no place is there for the family. Tombs aren't for the number of people living on a small spot of land.

All what we need is to survive the war and be safe. We are trying to secure the daily basic living necessities and this can come true with your contribution and support. TWO DISABLED PEOPLE NEED HELP AFTER HURRICANE HELENE

hi, i dont like making these posts, but at this time im genuinely at such a loss that i dont know what to do.

helene ripped through where me and my partner live and we arent doing good and we need help.

i work a $15/hr job but i cant work more than 20hrs a week due to my disability, and this is only enough to pay my share of rent and sort of feed us and our animals.

my partners job got absolutely fucking decimated. he worked for a small business dog boarding kennel and it flooded. all of the dogs are safe but the kennel is in no state to be working at and is not safe or useable for animals or people. the bridge to the road its on is also completely gone and we have no idea when it will be rebuilt.

we were mostly relying on my partners income, and due to our local walmart being shut down our only options are more expensive/higher end grocery stores. he also needs to make rent. neither of us can take being separated after all of this and we no longer have the money to move out or get a separate vehicle as we were planning.

for the record. we are no where near rich. we already struggled to make ends meet. his car was going to be a free(ish) handmedown from his mom but without his high paying job he cant afford car insurance, and now his only option is a 10/h job and that just isnt enough.

he cannot make rent, i dont know if i can afford to care for our cats. we wernt planned for this to happen because a fucking hurricane in the mountains shouldve been impossible.
