Good confrontation

I went to give in my essay today so we talk for a bit about it and then he goes ‘I wish everyone could be as proactive as you but don’t tell everyone about doing this because then it’d be too much for me to get through, if it’s just you it’s fine’ I was buzzing tbh. Later on I go ‘I just want to apologise as well because I probably should have given it in before the half term so you’d have the time to mark it, but that’s due to my own being unorganised’ he replies with ‘don’t ever apologise for giving in extra work, I’ll find the time’ he’s honestly so sweeeet like the way he said it makes me feel like I should never apologise for anything ever again to him, it was lowkey overwhelming. I then asked ‘Am I distracting??’ and he seemed to be thinking really hard about this and struggling to come up with an answer so I expanded and said ‘like in lesson would you say I’m disruptive, I just wanna know so I can be more self-aware’ he said that it wasn’t necessarily me but the girls on my table (E + J haha I mentioned them before) saying how he was going to implement a seating plan, obviously I don’t want to move because they’re my friends so I literally go ‘noooo pleaseeee don’t Sir’ begging like a fucking child, it worked though. He says he was going to give it one more week, now this wasn’t enough for me and I say ‘how about we make an agreement (he was very amused at this point) if we’re good next week we can stay in the same places’, ‘okay fine, fine’ he says and I’m just smiling uncontrollably because everything was in harmony again. We joked a bit more before I left but I realised that I’d gone without wishing him a good weekend so I quickly popped my head past the door and said ‘happy weekend!’ The confrontation was great tbh, if anything maybe this is a platonic infatuation I have for him, is that a thing?? (if not, I’m making it a thing now lmao) I can acknowledge he’s attractive but honestly I just want to be close to him (like close friends). Also I forgot to ask for his birthday, also also, it was easier to talk to him because he normally shares his office with other teachers but when I went to see him he was the only one there so that was a plus.

Don’t tell me off, please

My tc told me off today in the middle of a corridor (not in lesson :/ ) and now I feel like shit. He was accusing me of skipping a lesson basically because he saw me walking around. He kept being like ‘Did you go?’ And I kept saying that I did and he was like then why did I see you walking around with E and I was repeatedly like ‘I still went though, I’m not lying’. I was literally about to cry like I think he could tell I was getting upset because he was like ‘you’ve got such a good thing going on here don’t let yourself down’ and then he left me alone. I felt like shit, if it was any other teacher I literally wouldn’t have cared but it’s because it was him. Tbh I hate being told off and the fact he was the one telling me off just made it worse, I couldn’t even laugh it off because I care about what he thinks. I kept saying I wanted to get in trouble with him I take it baaack, it’s horrible. Apparently his week’s been quite stressful though so maybe that’s what it was?? Because when I went to see him later to collect some work he was quite cold then as well siiigh, idk if I can do this whole having a tc thing. 🥺

tbh the best feeling in the world is when you get to make your favorite people laugh and you have that moment of yes,,,,, just as planned,,,,,,,,,,, I have Succeeded in Bringing Them Amusement,,,,,, look at that Beautiful Smile™ that means the world to me

Write your tc a card

If you don’t know how to start up a conversation with your tc, since Christmas is coming up, write them a Christmas card!!

If you don’t want people to get suspicious write Christmas cards for all your teachers (if you have too many, maybe your favourites other than tc) but just make your tcs really personalised.

If you want to seem even less suspicious get other people to sign it as well, like the rest of your class (just their names or maybe a little message with that) and after everyone has, you can write a personalised paragraph or two yourself without people finding out how personal you made it or how much you wrote.

If you’re not sure about when to give it to them, I’d suggest on like the last day or two days (in case they end up not coming in or something) before the Christmas break or at the end of your last lesson with them before the break. You can go to their office and hand it in and have a little chat or you can just do it after lesson and have a little chat. If it’s after lesson you probably want to wait behind a bit so it’s not awkward for you if people see you or end up listening in on your conversation and also so you don’t feel rushed. I’m telling you about it now so you have time to think about what you’re gonna write, what card you’re gonna get etc etc (if you don’t have the money to buy one, make one!!)
