Symbolism of Pure Vanilla and Shadow Milk:

Okay I was scrolling and it suddenly hit me why I felt way more attached to the dynamic that Shadow Milk and Pure Vanilla had then say Dark Cacao and Mystic flour It’s because of the freaking double meaning to their primary roles as a Jester and King. (And me having the cultural knowledge to get any secondary meaning between their roles unlike the other two ancients at the minute).

So in the modern media and more frequent interpretation of the royal court the Jester was there to entertain, which is how SM is introduce to us, but in some cases it wasn’t their only job in court. They could responsible for bearing bad news to the King but also being one of the few people in court who could publicly mock and talk freely to him, so long as it seemed funny. This reflects on the actual game as Shadow Milk is the only one be it positive or negative that will not speak to Pure Vanilla without some form of formality.

While yes PV is friends with the other ancients there’s still a formality between them due to their ranks and roles even with Gingerbrave and Co they’re still a bit formal to him as he’s their elder. Shadow Milk as his elder in age but equal in terms of power (due to possessing the same soul jam), is the only one who talks frankly to him.

As for bearing bad news (yes this is relative but makes sense in context) SM is the one albeit in a very manipulative and disingenuous manner informs PV truth is only relative to the individual or group but is made up of lies varying from meaningless to meaningful, and that even he will lie as some situations a sweet lie is better than the bitter truth.

SM both directly and indirectly aided in PV’s decision making which on occasion for some Jesters was their role albeit this was extremely uncommon. Which ended up with the Truthless Recluse and eventually Compassionate.

All this making their roles as the Jester and the King even more intertwined than just a cosmetic choice.

Okay but why does this lowkey look like they’re soft launching a relationship and album. Then it comes out five years later due to an industry leak it was hella toxic with a messy break up/ divorce but the song or album still goes hard.

The song is imagine is called Sweetened Showtime or something.

Okay y’all with the new update out can we appreciate how hard this goes though it’s like the perfect laptop screensaver especially in its original form!

i wish i could put into words how much everything about this small bit absolutely FASCINATES me. the way that shadow milk seems almost guilty or sad by something, and then immediately doubles down and becomes work with a sick grin on his face. the way he is so clearly projecting himself onto pure vanilla (does he believe his entire life before his corruption to hold no value? does he view THAT life as a lie?) the way he wants pure vanilla to be just as ruined as he is, to BECOME him… their dynamic is so twisted in all the best possible ways.

Finally finished this lol. Horsea is so cute in this.

Been thinking (ya know instead of sleeping) on how busted White Lily will be when she inevitably gets an awakened form due to power creep. It likely won’t be for now just based on where the narrative is and how she’s still relatively good in the meta and with Holly right there along with the witch arc too but yeah. Like she’s already strong and her animation be crazy on the processing so idk how that’ll work. That’s not even touching on how that’ll work narratively.

(My opinion on that while I’m half asleep is she’ll break down due to Dark enchantress then deal with her beast).

But yeah I’m signing off I don’t even want to think about the beasts in the future getting buffed. 😅

So I’ve been thinking about the bat fam in the future and the family is gonna be HUGE especially if people are adopting/ having kids to the same amount Bruce did which means there will be drama, arguments and more. This is coming from someone with a very VERY large extended family.

I know the press will probably mess up the names of who did what too which would cause more arguments but never anyone cutting each other off because they’re annoyed but it’s tolerable plus they’ll have a turn to laugh.

Bruce also probably enjoys being a grandpa too albeit is probably that one who is awkward to get to know at first.

Finally got around to drawing didn’t have energy (gotta love crap health). But I managed a few sketches. Wanted to do a full piece but between energy and inability to get references cause no WiFi I just did these. That debacle is documented on my Bluesky under Inkysabyss on there lol.

Ok, AU where Scourge joins Thunderclan and becomes Bluefur’s apprentice, named Icefoot later. And he’s the one who brings Firekit to the clan as a kitten (like Fireheart did to Cloudtail in the original series!). They are 100% brothers here and a random day Icefoot meets his mother and she gives him his little brother to join the clan life. And maybe the prophecy (“kin of your kin” yada yada ) can be about a Firestar, a Icefoot and a Cloudtail child/grandchild/anyways

 it was supposed to be just a draw, but it turned into a complete AU LOL
