I know you do. You probably reeled in aghast when Marinette looked on desperately as Gabriel told her to break up with his son. You probably roared in indignation when Tom told Nathalie to leave now and never come back. And if you’re anything like me, you probably wondered why her parents didn’t step in like mine probably would have, because if someone threatened me in front of my fam, there would have been fireworks whether I liked it or not.

So I don't read a ton of group chat fics since it tends not to be my type of humour (I'm old lol) so I was surprised at how many fics I had for this rec list. But you expanded it to social media and I’ve expanded it to include emails and texts, and there’s some really awesome fics that you hopefully enjoy as much as I did!

Multi-chapter. Group chat/instagram fic. This fic is so freaking funny, omg I cracked up over and over again. You can tell the author was just having a blast with it, and I had a blast reading it too!

A Miraculous Reveal: Instagram by @kasienda

Upon viewing a certain Instagram Post involving a random floating sock, Marinette puts two and two together and gets four. She then resolves to go yell at Adrien as Ladybug for being careless with his identity.

One-shot within a series. (The other reveals are absolutely worth reading as well!!) Instagram fic. No one else is involved (well, I guess their kwamis), and this is shockingly not crack given the concept. The characterizations are amazing, especially with Marinette's crush being overpowered by her Ladybug sense of responsibility, and Adrien's need for love/validation contrasted with his Chat cheekiness.

One-shot. TikTok fic. Adrien participates in the "walk in naked challenge" on Marinette (established relationship) because of course he does lol. This is only rated T, it's just funny and cute and it put a smile on my face.

The odds of having a soulmate are about negative one billion (or something like that). But somehow, like they always have, Marinette and Chat Noir find themselves together. They’re ready to finally tell each other everything, but it turns out that even soulmates have to keep secrets, and they can only be together if they vow never to touch.

Multichapter. I'm hesitant to call it a messaging fic because it's so much more than that, but there are entire chapters that are devoted to messaging exchanges (between Marinette and Chat, and Ladybug and Chat, and Marinette and Adrien) and they're amaaaazinggggg. (Seriously some made me laugh, some made me cry, they're all fantastic.)

Marinette’s having a bad day. It started with her waking up late, breaking her five-day streak of waking up early. She nearly fell on her way down the stairs, thankfully she remained unharmed. Then she was late coming to class, but that mainly due to poor time management decisions. Only for her to then realize that she’s no longer a student, but the teacher assistant for Mme. Bustier’s class.
