The school bus was full of lively chatter as it neared the city centre, and Marinette smiled to herself when she saw some of her classmates crowding by the windows, eager to get a glimpse of their destination once it was within eyeshot.

“How much longer do you think we have left?” She asked Alya as she turned back round in her seat.

“Hmm, just a couple more minutes,” Alya said, holding her phone up to display a digital map that she must’ve already had open. “You excited? Apparently they teach jazz and contemporary there! I really hope we’ll get to play some of the instruments, or try out a bit of dancing.”

Marinette giggled and placed a hand on her friend’s shoulder. “That sounds awesome, Alya! I’m sure there’ll be lots of fun things to do.”

The decision to have a day trip to the Conservatoire de Paris had been rather sudden, announced randomly by Mr Damocles under the guise that it would help make the class ‘more aware of their options’ for after they left lycée. It was a welcome surprise for pretty much everyone, with exception of Chloé, who never seemed to enjoy any organised school events.

Personally, Marinette was just glad to get a break from regular class work and spend time with her friends - the immense amount of stress she’d under the past few months made it hard to remember what it felt like to truly unwind and forget about her problems, even if it was only for a bit.

Meanwhile, approximately 3,642 miles away, one very exasperated Bruce Wayne was having a conversation with one very jubilant Dick Grayson.

"Dick… could you please tell me what made you think choosing a class from Paris that you know nothing about was a good idea? We have a process regarding the whole thing. Something you didn't inquire about. There's a reason for these things."

Throughout his speech, Dick was looking more and more sheepish, thinking back on why he had chosen that particular class.

"Look Bruce, I'm sorry. I can take care of everything I skipped over but the Parisian class I chose really needs to be on this trip."

It wasn't a complete lie, but the reasons behind the why only concerned Dick and his entertainment. His interference was caused by nothing reasonable at all, but, thankfully, Bruce didn't ask.

"You've already given them the okay, the most you can do at this point is arrange everything with the teacher, as well as doing a standard background check. Since we already have the schedule and agenda set up, we only need the guides, but since you so graciously chose that class, it can be you."

Dick knew better than to argue, wisely keeping his mouth shut.

I used to think Delaware was a steel production company but this post changed my views

hold on a fucking second. delaware is a state?? i thought it was a river? or is the river more important than the state? why don't i know this? (i should mention i don't like in america, i'm just confused)

there is delaware (state) and delaware (river)

both are equally strange

the state is a tiny little cryptid thing

the rive is a monster that spans new york, pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware. also washington crossed it once and that was like kinda a big deal i guess. like crossing the rubicon in rome.

the state tries to me more important with its “im the first state!!!” bs (seriously its even on the fucking license plates) but we all know. its the river.
