There's Nothing Wrong With Irene/Sherlock. It's Just As Valid And Just As "canon" As Your Dumb Johnlock

I’ve never seen Star Trek, but I love this poetry and I agree that this gentleman doesn’t deserve being treated so meanly. It must’ve been pretty difficult to incorporate all these complex words and terms into the rhythm of a poem, and that’s a nice and original way to express affection. I’d love to listen to the way he reads it, too (partly because I have doubts about pronouncing half of these words even with the help of the rhythmic clues). (also I saw this thread on Pinterest first and I’m rather glad to see it appear on my own Tumblr dashboard without any particular reason (again, I’m not a Star Trek fan))

When watching “A scandal in Belgravia”, I guessed Irene’s password somewhere in the middle of the episode solely because of the phone interface. I thought that “l am [][][][] locked” was such an… unusual alternative for “enter your password” that it had to have meaning, you know?

My very delayed response to Terry Pratchett’s death a few weeks back. Not going to lie, it wrecked me. I wanted to make something right away but had no idea what would be appropriate, and kept running out of free time.  

I feel like everything I have to say about him and his work and world has already been said a million times over, I don’t have a lot to add to it. Just saw this post & remembered how much I dislike books/shows/movies named the same as the main character because when someone asks me “do you like [name]?”, I always have to reply “the character or the work?” And also the web searches & tags & stuff are always messed up

Am I the only one getting tired of shows and movies just using the name of the main character instead of coming up with something interesting? (“Ahsoka” “Obi-Wan Kenobi” etc.)
