Good morning! Do you have any plans for the day?
Good morning! It is pleasant to hear from you again. I do have some plans, actually. Hastie is presently away on a house visit which has left me to care for the office.
Saturdays tend to be rather quiet so I am just tidying up and then I will likely make another trip out to the markets.
I am hoping to stop by the bakery as well as the fish shops for ingredients as well.
We can be quite inspiring on occasion!
Yes, it appears that you are correct in that regard… Is this… Some means of science or is the means in which you accomplish this outside of the realms of science?
Aw, good luck to you, then! I'm sure you'll be able to keep them alive!
Thank you for the kind faith! I am hopeful that I will be able to keep them well. Unfortunately, my expertise has always been moreso in people rather then plants.
That sounds fun! What was your dream about, if you don't mind sharing?
I dreamt something along the lines that I was speaking to someone and that — upon mentioning my own thirst — they summoned a glass of water from pure nothingness and gave it to me.
… As I said, it was a strange dream. Overall, a pointless one too.
Aw, that sounds very nice.. do you know who's playing that tune?
Ah- Hello again. Yes, that would be the school of music next door. They have a tendency to leave their windows open during lessons — not that I mind in the slightest.
This tune sounds like that of one of the students I’ve heard practicing a couple of times in the last few weeks. They often make mistakes but once they are able to get it correct once, they tend to be able to get it correct each following time.
Uh.. where do you live again?
I live in London, in Great Britain. Are you asking for a particular reason?
Maybe you're in luck, then! Let us know how it goes!
Of course. I will mention the result whenever I have the chance to ask her next.
Maybe your patients would like a cat being around? As long as it doesn't mess with your equipment, it should be fine, right?
Hah, fortunately, I am careful to shelf and lock and of our medicinal glasses. We would potentially be able to make it work by closing off Hastie’s office as well…? Regardless, I believe it best to consider this for some time before acting on this whim.
I was unable to find a carpenter in town who can repair the shelves so it unfortunately seems that I will be continuing to keep a portion of my materials boxed.
Dr. Jekyll quietly worked on arranging some paperwork, a small breeze blowing in from the window and causing the edges of the papers to softly curl, Jekyll taking a single moment to smooth them back down.
Somewhere in the distance, the gentle sound of a piano could be heard playing from a nearby building. It would play the same few steps of a single tune, occasionally making a mistake before restarting the same tune following a gap of silence. Alongside it, the occasional sound of chatter and horses could be heard from the street.
After some time, Jekyll would quietly stand up, taking the papers and walking to the bookshelf where he would remove a folder and slip the papers inside. Then, he would tuck the folder into the back and return to his desk, taking a moment to look out the window and listen to the musical tune play gently; finally finishing the tune to the fullest for the first time since it had started before quieting.
They are! Different topic, but do you like animals?
I do! I do not have any animals of my own, unfortunately, but I do appreciate them!
