Theme 7 is Memory and the sketch is a redrawing of a redrawing. I guess you could say that it's also a memory of a memory. šā š¹ā I decided to revisit a drawing in my sketchbook that was done earlier this year. I redrew a drawing of mine for a class project (because I was fond of it) and looking back on it now, I wasn't happy with how the guy's face came out when I first drew it. So I redrew his face, added some more heartwarming elements, and next, I'm going to add more ink to make it pop. ššā
Thereās been a major development over the past 24 hours: another member of Congress just came out in support of the House Congressional Review Act resolution to overturn FCC Chairman Ajit Paiās net neutrality repeal.
This is a big deal and could help push other lawmakers do the same, but we have to act fast because the deadline is just over a week away.
Today is a massive day of action to show lawmakers that people still care about net neutrality so weāre asking everyone to click here and tell Congress not to let their chance to save net neutrality slip away.Ā
Join us at DeadlineForNetNeutrality.com
Weāve been fighting for months without seeing any movement in Congress, watching the clock ticking down to the deadline. But Rep Joe Morelle (NY-25) his support for the Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution could change that.
If we act fast, we can leverage this new momentum to unleash a small landslide of other representatives coming out for net neutrality before the December 10th deadline, which will make a huge difference in the battles ahead.
Today weāre asking the entire Internet to sign this open letter to Congress telling them to do the right thing and support net neutrality before itās too late.
Your voice matters. As part of todayās Internet-wide day of action, thousands of others are speaking out, along with celebrities, musicians, and platforms like Tumblr, Postmates and Etsy.
You can join them and show your support for net neutrality by submitting an āI support net neutralityā photo. We will be flooding lawmakersā social media feeds with pictures, so if they decide to vote against the open Internet we will make them look us in the eye as they do it.
Click here to sign our open letter and then submit your āI support net neutralityā photo into our gallery:
We canāt let this deadline come and go without making Congress remember that the whole Internet is watching. Weāre still fighting for net neutrality. And we wonāt forget if they betray us.
Tell everyone you know to take action at DeadlineForNetNeutrality.com and spread the word any way you can.Ā Click here to find ideas on how you can use your slice of the Internet ā whether thatās your Tumblr blog, a website you run, or any of your social media accounts ā to help get the word out. Weāre counting on you!
Forgot to share this with you guys. š I finished my xerox collage illustration! (Sort of.) I was pressed for time so this is what I got. The goal was to combine collage and drawing in such a way that they look cohesive. I collaged some odd creatures and foliage and then drew in their surroundings. Hope you enjoy!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: December 20, 2018 Contact: Evan Greer, 978-852-6457, press@fightforthefuture.org
Pressure is reaching a boiling point as Internet users continue sounding the alarm ahead of the deadline for members of Congress to show they support real net neutrality protections by signing on to the discharge petition for the CRA resolution to reverse the FCCās repeal.
Representative Brenda Jones, who won a special election to succeed John Conyers in Michigan, just became the latest House rep to sign on. Her name appears next to Rep Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA), who has now officially signed on to the discharge petition after facing a flurry of angry phone calls and messages from constituents when she put out a video last week saying she wouldnāt sign.
Internet activist group Fight for the Future has been using the page DemsAgainstThe.Net to highlight the handful of remaining Democrats who are the only members of their party who have not signed on to the CRA. And online actions surrounding the open letter at DeadlineForNetNeutrality.com have been amplified by celebrities like Tom Morello, Evangeline Lilly, and Bassnectar, along with companies like Tumblr, Etsy, Postmates, and Reddit. The group also deployed a mobile billboard in Washington, DC that cycled through the faces of every member of Congress who has not signed the CRA.Ā
āThe fight for net neutrality is far from over, but time is running out for members of Congress to make decision: do they want to go down in history as the corrupt politicians who rubber stamped the repeal of net neutrality? Or will they sign on to the CRA discharge petition and show that theyāre willing to put their constituentsā basic rights ahead of their corporate donors,ā said Evan Greer, Deputy Director of Fight for the Future (pronouns: she/her).
Last week, on the one year anniversary of the FCC repeal, the group issued a blog post explaining the path ahead for net neutrality beyond the CRA resolution. Fight for the Future will continue to push in Congress, in the states, and in the courts, until net neutrality is restored.
