Your car drove across the icy, uneven road. You were finally going back to your birth town after moving away as a teenager. You had to move for your dads job, and with no phone back then you couldn't talk to anyone unless you used your house phone and remembered their numbers. You left everyone and now you felt so many butterflies as you were heading back.

The town wasn't much. A little quaint place lost in the countryside. Popular for ice skating and it's thick winters with not-so-warm summers, it wasn't much but you missed it. Your parents had been planning to go back when they retired and you had offered to check the familiarity of the town.

You drove past the welcome sign, the same wooden sign you remembered crying at when you were leaving at the age of 10. It still was a baby blue colour. Paint worn but still pretty. Little white snowflakes painted were more off white than white by now.

As you made it to the tiny inn you were staying at you smiled. Nothing had changed at all. You walked in, went to the desk and noticed a familiar face. Jisung, a chatterbox you had in your class as a child, he had a playful loud character. "Hey! Long time no see huh?" He looked at you and smiled "you recognized me?" You just nodded in response. He smiled and nodded back "so what brings you back?" He handed you your room key "um just thought it would be nice to visit.. See if it's like I remember" you picked up your suitcase and went to go "well nothings changed too much" he smiled, you flashed him a smile back and went to your room.

The room was small, it consisted of a desk, a wardrobe and a single bed. Not much but it was cozy. It would suit for your one week trip at least. You placed your things down onto the desk and layed down onto the bed. God you were sleepy from the four hour drive in thick snow.

You closed your eyes and dozed off, you'd explore tomorrow...

Your nap didn't last very long, only a few hours but when you woke you were hungry and it was dark outside. Lights illuminating the street, you groaned and stood, grabbing your jacket and leaving the inn to go find food. You wandered mindlessly around the streets until you spotted a little cafe on the corner of the street.

You recognized the place from when you were a kid, the cute fairy lights, sweet pastry smells floating into the street. Your old best friends mom used to run it.

A little boy who used to follow you around. Seungmin, he was a short boy with a baby face and dark brown hair. He was your best friend until you moved and lost contact.. The cafe looked the same.. Did his mother still own it? Hopefully. Maybe you could meet him again, though you doubted he'd remember you. So youwent in and the doors bell rung softly.

Everything was the same. Thank god. Maybe you could see the sweet lady that ran the place, your mother and her were good friends after you befriended Seungmin. Though they didn't keep much contact other than talking in person, the most contact they had other than face to face was your old house phone but your mother hadn't remembered to give them the one for your new home when you moved.

"Welcome!" A man called from the counter smiled, he was older with grey hairs nestled into his black gelled hair. Through his glasses he had warm comforting eyes.

Ah, Mr Shin, he'd worked here for years (it surprised you that he hadn't retired...) He waved and you smiled back "Hi" you smiled and he said it back you sat at the counter as he made your drink and you both talked. He updated you on the town. Nothing much had changed. The old shitty bar down by the dump was now a much cleaner charity shop, they'd made a park next to the school and they'd reopened the community center. Not the most interesting but you knew your parents would be interested in the community center when they moved back so you'd note it to memory.

Whilst chatting you looked around the cafe, hoping to catch site of Seungmin, or maybe another person you would recognize. You spotted a group of boys in the corner booth, a boy with a pretty face and long blonde hair, he was sat on a laptop, completely invested in whatever was on glowing blue screen. the other male had a black mullet, he was sitting talking the others ear off with a smile. He was jacked and had his head on one of his palms, muscles flexed. The blonde was just nodding and smiling at whatever the other said, eyes glued to the scene...

In the corner was a brown haired boy with a baby face.. Pouting and talking to the other guy, you could recognize that face... Seungmin? God he'd grown, stretched more like it. Growing up you were always taller, hell he was barely at your chin when you were ten... He still had the same soft fluffy hair.

Suddenly he turned his head your way, and you locked eyes, his grew wide and you turned away. Shit did he get up? You could hear someone moving. You just prayed and prayed it was one of the old guys sipping coffee in the other side. But you knew it wasn't when you felt a tap on your shoulder "ynnie??..."

He remembered? You slowly turned your neck "hi" you smiled awkwardly and he smiled back "wow!!.. Umm. It's been a while huh?"

You nodded and smiled gently "yeah, suppose it has been" he immediately sat down next to you with a grin you noticed the little charm on his bracelet, one you gave him. He still had it? "So... What have you been up to recently?"

A couple days later you'd grown close to Seungmin again, going to old places you used to play, finally exchanging numbers. "So, you still hang around with Changbin huh?" You smiled and he nodded, fidgeting and fighting with the bracelet he was making. "Yeah, he's still the loud goof ball but I love him obviously"

You nodded and helped him with the bracelet, it was a mess but he'd tried! You used to make them for him all the time as a kid and had brought your old kit to keep you entertained in this town with practically no entertainment, unless you were a alcoholic at the bar or a little kid at the park.

"So what even brought you back here in the first place?" He looked up at you. "My parents are retiring soon and wanna move back, I said I'd scope out the place. I've been meaning to come back anyways" you smiled.

He nodded and put the bracelet onto your wrist. "There! Now we match" he smiled and held up his arm next to yours, showing your new bracelet to his old one.

"It's pretty" you laughed and he just smiled into your face like some lovesick puppy "not as pretty as you" he mumbled and you looked up, eyes widened in shock at his words "sorry what did you say?"

"Not as pretty as you" he smiled and inched closer "you're so pretty, why is me saying they confusing?"

"Because you've.. Never said that before" you furrowed your brows and he got closer he held his hand above yours and looked at you, silently asking if he could hold it. Once you nodded he took your hand and held it near his face. "I'm so serious.. I've liked you since we were kids, I thought I moved on when you left but.. I guess I haven't" he smiled and kissed your hand.

"You mean that?" "Yeah, duh.. " he laughed and cupped your face with his other hand. You smiled "I.. I think I like you to" and he kissed you, soft and quick but still a kiss. "You think you like me?"

"You know what I mean" and that was what sealed it, he pressed a kiss to your lips, and another, and another, and another... You both ended up just laughing after the 8th (actually you lost track...) kiss. Just talking and laughing like teens. "So what happens to.. This? Once you go home... I mean if you want this" he frowned gently.

"I want this, I really do... I guess it'll be awkward at first but we can make this work. We'll have this yeah? And I'll visit... Once my parents move here I'll be here like, constantly" you smiled "every holiday, family gatherings, I'll come back to you" he smiled back and kissed your lips, it would be slow but you'd be fine. You'd make it work.

Heeseung - you're here that's the thing

I feel like this just suits him so so well. The soft melody and the emotional words, a song about not knowing what you are to someone. What the relationship is. But being okay with just being, being theirs. Being so hopelessly in love that you take what ever the person gives you, even if they don't truly care.

And I think a sweet sad song like this suits him. He's friendly and warm, normally a perfectionist but with love? He's just so in love that he doesn't see the bad.

He strikes me as a receiving gifts and words of affirmation kind of guy, tell him you love him, call him handsome and he'll be all over you, gifts and kisses. He's just in love, let him be ><

Something tells me he knows this song, like bros trying to be nonchalant and I know he likes bea!.. But he's just a silly little guy (23yr and 6ft...)

I think he's a hopeless romantic but definitely has a realistic romantic in him. He's hopeless for his partner and so in love but he knows how the world works, he won't be so romantic always if it isn't reciprocated, he isn't the kind of guy to look at the world through rose tinted glasses. He does love the thought of romance though.

Another harshly relatable song!!... Yippee! The opposite of the last, where it was about desperately wanting and needing love. This one? He doesn't need love. He wants it sure but he doesn't need it. It's a nice concept but sometimes love is just about wanting human connections. Not a real person who you love desperately.

As the song explains sometimes we just need human connections. Someone to hold us as we sleep, someone to tell us we're a good person yk? And I think he needs and deserves that. To me I think it would take a lot for him to start an actual relationship, especially with his career. He just needs a person, maybe more friends than romance.

He's definitelyyyyy a physical contact and quality time kind of guy. He just needs comfort and soft romance, a kiss on the cheek or head. A hug or hand holding. Nothing too passionate.

He's definitely a realistic romantic and a guarded romantic, he's so stuck in his ways of not needing that when he does he's too scared to opened up to people who really love him. But he's working on it. One step at a time and one kiss at a time.

This song is literally about compliments and lovey dovey almost like the honeymoon stage of a relationship. And this boy is always gonna be in the honeymoon stage. Just so in love and amazing and handsome and adorable and flirty and talented and suave. Very suave.

He gives me such words of affirmation and acts of service. He needs to know you love him, and believe me he will definitely let you know he loves you.

He loves love. Kissing and holding, living in each other's warmth. Simple moments too. Hand holding or cuddles on the couch. Laying in bed as the sun filters through the blinds or curling up on the floor and crying together. All the raw emotion from love. He's that kinda lover. Raw, romantic and real.

Glue is so him. The attachment and bond to a new kind of love that you don't want to lose. A real true lovely wonderful fairy tale love. The joy and new emotions when finding new love like this. That is this song. That is him!!

And he is in denial. Completely. He refuses to believe that it isn't just a small one time crush. He isn't the biggest romantic in my eyes. He likes love but isn't constantly striving for it always. He isn't that kind of guy to me. He has crushes but not partners.

So when he does.. It's weird and different. Amazing to have this love but he's so lost. Kisses on the cheek and hand holding are all he can do for the first while but give him time to improve!! From soft gracing touches to long kisses and waist holding, all baby needed was some time to learn.

(I wanna dance with him </3 I just want him one chance please) this song is kinda similar to some of the others but it's a underrated gem soooo!!! with her young vocals and indie pop melody this song is all about the intimacy of human touch and connection, dance being the metaphor, finding comfort in moving together on the dancefloor and the carefree feeling of it all.

It's so whimsical and youthful like lots of her older music (this is from the " patched up " ep!!) And it really suits Riki, especially the dancing metaphors. The coolness of her vocals and the flow of the song really have that smoothness that he carries himself with. Confidence and suave but such a little weirdo under it all.

To me?? Boys a mess at romance. Not that he's bad with feelings but bad at telling them, expressing them. He tries truly but he's young and clueless to love really.

As you read your yearbook you saw the notes people had written you. "I didn't know you very well but you seemed nice" or "good luck" sure they were written with nice intent but it felt so empty, written for the sake of writing something. So you wouldn't feel bad. But it felt worse.

None of them had noticed you until you all were leaving. You had friends, very little but it was enough. But sometimes you felt inferior, your friends had other friends. You didnt. But there was one note on a page by itself. You couldn't remember who signed it and there wasn't a name...

It read "Hi, we haven't spoken much. I've been mainly embarrassed to, you wouldn't like me or I would humiliate myself. But I hope whatever you choose after school fills you with fulfillment and joy. I wish I could've had the courage to speak to you, maybe I couldn't made you feel that way. I mean you're smile is gorgeous, Just seeing you everyday makes me feel like I'm lucky. Every time. And you're so talented, when I have to read over your writing it's so perfect. Like you. Even if we don't speak. Even if you don't know me. But have fun after graduation, I hope I can speak to you one day if we meet again :)"

Huh? At first you were weirded out and confused. But as you read it.. It was sweeter than anyone else's notes and you didn't even know the person. Nicer and more heartfelt than your best friends note. You loved her to bits but she was busy with others so you didn't really have as many memories to put into ink.

But this person, this guy or girl.. They said you were pretty? They wanted to know you? Not by force but by choice..

Weird. God whoever wrote that was weird. and sweet and caring. But for the most part weird.

You tossed the book onto your mattress and put your head into your palms, you needed to find this mystery writer. Stupid idea really, but it was your last week and you wanted to find this person before you left school forever.

So the next day you started your plan. You were in your class.. They'd wrote about your writing... So they had to be in your english class surely? You sat and tried to pretend to pay attention, eyes scanning the room for potential culprits. Your desk was sat between two people. Some boy you didn't know the name of but he never even looked up from his desk so it surely wasn't him. Hell half the time he wasn't even there.

And the other person was Jake. Well.. That's what his friends called him. You weren't his friend so... Sim Jaeyun. He was a flirt. But he'd never shown any interest in you, hel he acted like you were invisible, the only time he looked at you was when he was talking to the mystery boy at your other side.

Was it him? I mean... He was gorgeous.. Very very handsome. If it was him.. Wow. So you'd ask him, you wrapped a page from your english jotter, you scrubbed down your question quick.

" hi, did you write the long message in my year book? " you crumbled the paper up and slipped it onto his desk. There. Now you wait till he notices, it didn't take long however, he picked it up and unfolded it, he scoffed and smirked "nope, try him sweetheart" he pointed at the other boy and turned back to his papers... That... Didn't go as expected.

You turned to the other boy, face practically hidden in a hoodie, he was so invested into whatever he was doing. You tapped his shoulder "excuse me.. Hi" you said and he looked up, you felt your throat dry. He... He had the prettiest brown eyes ever, as the artificial lights hit them they had a honeylike glisten to them. And you were lost in his doe eyes. You didn't even hear his response "um... Yes? Hello?" He said with a small smile "you like.. Zoned out."

You nodded immediately and flushed "um yeah, uh, did you sign like a really long paragraph into my yearbook? I know it's a random weird question but it mentioned something that I thought related to this class so... " you said, word vomit pouring out your mouth before you could stop your self, as he went to respond.. The bell went. Shit. He smiled "meet me at lunch? In... This classroom?" He said and walked away,

God this whole situation was weird. The letter. The prime suspect?? Hopefully it was him and he wasn't wasting your time. That would be embarrassing. Was it so bad you wanted to know the identity of a boy who found you pretty? You felt so special and you clung onto the feeling.

So there you were. Sandwich bag in hand outside the English room leaning against the door. He appeared out of nowhere from the corridor. Soft smile and a drink in his hand, he waved gently and stepped closer.

"Um.. Hi, let's talk inside yeah?" His voice was so soft and awkward. Cute.

"Yeah sure, what did you want to tell me? Was the note you?" You said as you both went into the class, he leaned against the teachers desk and nodded "yeah, god it's embarrassing, but I meant every word.. I mean.. I do think you're gorgeous, and smart and totally cool" he smiled.

"Cool? Me?" You smiled gently and laughed "but thank you. It was... So sweet"

"Of course.. Um.. Can we be friends? I'd love to get to know you, even if we're graduating this week.. We could text or.. " he rambled on and you took both his hands into yours "sure, I'd love to" he smiled in response and nodded.

"Oh. I'm. Heeseung by the way.. I probably should've said that before" he laughed, you smiled and said your name in response "you're names really pretty" you said to him.

He smiled and nodded "um.. You wanna sign my yearbook?... I just got mine today so I don't have that many" he pulled it out his back and held it out. You took it and wrote down a message.

"I think you're pretty too Heeseung, enjoy graduation !" And right under it was your phone number, written in swirly letters and hearts and x's around them.

He blushed like crazy "ah, thanks.. I'll see you later?" He said and nodded "sure. Bye Heeseung" you smiled and he left. You stayed for a bit before leaving yourself. He was so pretty, a gentleman really.. And he wanted to know you.

You were attractive to somebody. To him. And you were happy to see where it would go.

You heard your phone buzz and smiled at the message as you noticed you sent it.

"Hi! I was wondering if you wanna go for coffee tomorrow after class? :)"

You texted him back "ofc I'd love to ♡" so that was that. You had a date tomorrow. Maybe graduating wouldn't be so bad, wouldn't be so lonely.
