“… The Soviets and Americans did their best to overcome differences of language and culture as they worked together. The language gap was not only a hurdle; it was an opportunity for the occasional prank. One of the US personnel taught a Soviet soldier guarding the entrance to headquarters to greet every American officer with the following words: ‘Good morning, you filthy son of a bitch.’ The soldier was proud when he said those words: his pronunciation was not perfect, but the message got through. Deane thought such episodes meant that the Soviets and Americans were learning to get along.”

Your Douma headcanons post got me wondering: What were the modern changes/current events/technology that shocked Kokushibo and Akaza the most?
kokushibo does not allow artificial inner world in this house. akaza doesn't like Things That Talk

hey btw intermixed with all the hurt and love I feel for Kyojuro is bitter, bitter rage. he left Senjuro alone in that house with their abusive dad. he told Tanjiro to become like him. give up everything you have to serve the greater good, like he did. fail to see your own human life as precious and worthy of protection, like he did.
i understand completely how Kyojuro's past shaped him into who he became, and I love him anyway, I love him because of a lot of it. on some level, I admire the sacrifice he made. but the hypocrisy is glaring and the void he left behind chills to the bone.
setting my heart ablaze alright, I'll miss and curse you with the same breath

I love the idea that a nation's accent changes depending on what region they're in. Like plop America down south and give him a few months. Soon, he'll be gliding his vowels and merging pin-pen to sound the same.
Does it happen gradually, or does he switch mid-sentence like a voice crack? The former makes more logical sense, but the latter is more comedic.
Oh imagine if England had a Scouse accent. That makes me wonder if he's not allowed to stay in certain regions for too long because his boss wants him to sound "posh". I imagine America's boss is more lenient because he can't control him as much, but he probably faces the same attitude. Just let my guy have a southern accent :(
the killerz
I made this a long time ago because I was thinking about the fact that both Eri and Tokoyami like apples and that Horikoshi said he wanted to draw them eating apples together
