A new Gravity Falls charity zine, Hunky Drifters Catalogue aims to recreate the look and feel of a retro magazine. Featuring page-turning articles, parody ads, and racy pictures of our favorite Hunky Drifter, Stan Pines, this zine is sure to please anyone that helped vote our beloved conman to victory!

Although canon implies that its in-universe counterpart may have contained more explicit content, our Hunky Drifters Catalogue strives for the "tasteful and classy" approach Stan might've been hoping for while still appealing to mature audiences (ie: no full frontal nudity).

Does it make sense? Probably not but idc I just think it looks cool, although it would probably make it kinda hard for Ford to look at him sometimes

In my mind, the vampire Fiddleford still needs glasses, so he wears green-tinted glasses because if you mix green and red, you can get certain shades of brown.

Some part of him, filled with desperation, tried to heal himself in the hope of welding his memories together like one of his robots...

Fiddleford is having the wildest summer of his life.

Wax figures coming to life, ghosts, clones, and gnomes are just a few of the things he’s seen in Gravity Falls.

But there’s a mystery way bigger than the town’s usual weirdness that’s been haunting Fiddleford’s mind.

What happened to his future self to end up as the town loon? Why did he end up living in Oregon? What happened to his family? And if he turns back into an adult… will he become the town loon again?

The questions won’t leave him alone—and sometimes, scattered fragments of his adult memories sneak into his mind.

Fiddleford wants answers. And he plans to find them.

I’d been wanting to create my own AU for a while. It took me some time to decide which of all my ideas to focus on first, but I eventually went with this one because it felt like something I hadn’t explored before. And personally, I *love* stories where a character is accidentally de-aged. *Gravity Falls* has so many characters you can have fun with when it comes to that concept.

Lately, I’ve had a bit of a soft spot for McGucket, and I’ve basically been devouring every fanfic and fanart I can find of him—so I couldn’t resist making him the protagonist of this AU.

Here’s the premise: in this universe, during the episode *“The Legend of the Gobblewonker”*, McGucket stumbles across a strange mushroom growing inside the cave behind the waterfall. The spores from this mushroom have rejuvenating properties, which causes Fiddleford to turn back into a 13-year-old—retaining only the memories he had at that age.

With no idea what to do, Dipper, Mabel, and Soos decide to take a very confused Fiddleford to the lake shore and try to explain what happened. Fiddleford, of course, doesn’t believe a word of it and runs off the moment he sets foot on dry land.

It only takes him a day to realize he’s on the other side of the country… and that it’s the year 2012. Naturally, he doesn’t take it very well.

Dipper and Mabel eventually find him and offer him a place to stay. At first, they sneak him into the Mystery Shack every night behind Stan’s back—but Stan doesn’t take long to figure it out and just lets Fiddleford stay, as long as he helps out around the Shack with Dipper and Mabel.

Fiddleford ends up having an amazing summer, joining the twins on most of their adventures.

Meanwhile, Tate McGucket is losing his mind over his father’s sudden disappearance.

Wanted to animate to this audio for a while so heres some fun relativity falls ford and fiddleford stuff

so I very briefly mentioned this au I have in my last gideon doodle post and saw one tag saying to elaborate and thats all the excuse I needed. ok to be honest i didnt need an excuse i was going to talk about it anyway

i had a dream shortly after the stanchurian candidate aired where my brain made up a fake episode of GF to essentially finish gideons 'arc'. and it involved him making a deal with bill to gain demon powers. bill promised him All The Perks, and he was desperate to get outta jail, so he took it.

turns out 'all the perks' involves being trapped in the nightmare dimension without a physical form and, while being tremendously powerful, unable to truly utilize those powers without being summoned. so he sort of just gets condemned to existing as a demon and is desperate to get back into a physical body because, turns out, the human brain is not really.. designed to process that existence for too long. it freaks you out. especially if 'you' happens to be a ten year old who is still afraid of the dark and spends most of their time surrounded by nightmares.

it was weirdly grim and i woke up like 'holy shit. i need to make that an AU' and it developed from there. in the more thought-out version, bill and gideons deal involved him swapping into gideons body to further his plans for a while. he never promised he'd give it BACK, though. it, uh. ended how you'd expect bill possessing a body to end.

'what happened to his eye?' bill thought it'd be funny if it was part of his collectin on gideons 'debt'. hes got one eye, you should have only one of em, too.

honestly I make most of the details up as I go and its mostly an excuse to draw my favourite worst son in various levels of power-thirst and distress. sorry gids even you dont deserve this one

if you mischaracterize ford for the sake of making a good plot or just because your understanding of ford as a character is a bit warped then thats a bit of a shame, but i’d still read it. ‘he would not fucking say that’ i say, continuing to happily read along anyways

if you mischaracterize stan for any reasons i throw my phone at the wall, i click out of the fic, an angel loses its wings, i start writing even more fanfiction to counter balance you, etc etc

ford being uncharacteristically awful? unrealistic but i can get down with this for funsies. stan being uncharacteristically awful? we’re done here.

Some interesting facts about Hank you might have missed (Detroit: Become Human)

DBH is full of little details that help understand the characters’ background and their motivations, details which can go entirely amiss if the player isn’t paying enough attention to their surroundings. 

You have to play several times over to notice bits and pieces of information scattered everywhere and be able to reconstruct the characters’ background by patiently piecing them together. If you’re thorough enough, you can even uncover whole chunks of the characters’ past which they refuse to talk about (something VERY frequent in Hank’s case…and equally frustrating). 

Here are a few details about the life of Hank Anderson, the lieutenant who is chosen to help Connor with his investigation, along with some interpretations of my own about his mysterious past based on the evidence we find in the game:

[SPOILERS AHEAD. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED]

The park where Hank goes to drink after the Eden Club mission is a playground for children. If you pay attention, you’ll see the place is full of recreational equipments, like a swingset, a toy house and a merry-go-round.  He says the place has a nice view and mentions going there a lot before something happened. This is where he used to bring his son Cole to play before his death.

What hurts most about this scene is how a human notices the photo of Hank’s dead son on his kitchen table, then the fact Hank drove to a playground and immediately associates them both, while an android (Connor) is unable to see the correlation between them. This is why Connor asks before what?. He’s clueless to the overwhelming evidence around him of Hank thinking about his son in that moment and choosing to revisit the playground. 

Hank used to be part of a multi-department unit called the Red Ice Task Force which successfully busted a ring of drug dealers that sold red ice in Detroit. He has a photo of his unit on his desk, and you can even see the notes he left on each of them, where some nicknames were scribbled and associated to each of their faces. Some of them are fond nicknames, others, not so much:

Hank worked in the Red Ice Task Force two years before the birth of his son Cole. Cole was born in 2029, as seen in the photo below.

Hank also lost his son in 2035, only three years before the events of DBH, as seen in Cole’s picture below.

The reason why Hank feels so disenchanted is because he worked hard to end the traffic of red ice in the city only to lose his son to a doctor who was a drug addict. This made him feel like his work was ultimately worthless and even guiltier about losing his son, since despite his efforts, there was nothing he could do to save him. The day Cole died, he learned he was fighting a losing battle. So he just gave up. On life. On his job as a good police officer. On everything.

Hank plays Russian roulette because deep down, he doesn’t want to die. Something keeps him from offing himself once and for all. He’s afraid of death. Proof of that is how scared he becomes when he is holding for dear life on the ledge right at top of that building during our chase for the deviant Rupert (where you must choose between saving Hank and keep chasing the android). Hank was so scared of the prospect of dying he punches Connor in the face and yells at him due to the android’s refusal to save him. Therefore, Hank might have suicidal tendencies, but he’s not truly suicidal. If he truly wished to die, then all he needed to do was to let go from that ledge or fully load his gun next time he’s at home and shoot himself. And he knows that.

His sense of guilt and helplessness for his son’s death is what makes him so protective of Connor. He’s aware Connor is just an android. And yet prevents him from facing potentially fatal situations. Hank just can’t cope well with death and will project his fatherly feelings for Cole onto Connor. This is why he commits suicide if he witnesses Connor’s death over and over. But this is also the reason why he warms up to Connor throughout the game. He inevitably associates the android with Cole despite himself.

Hank shoots you if he’s hostile after Connor repeats over and over again that he’s just a machine, unable to have real emotions. Hank’s actions have two root causes: 

1) The doctor who was high on red ice was emotionally dysfunctional. He used drugs to cope with his personal problems, a behaviour that seemed normal in Detroit given the socioeconomic hardship the city was going through (thirty percent rate of unemployment). We also see how androids are progressively replacing humans in every line of work. Remember when Hank complained how people are replacing normal relationships with humans for androids (Eden Club mission)? This seems to be a big issue in Detroit. Along with the huge unemployment rate, it indicates a depersonalisation of human interaction. That is to say, a tendency for humans to avoid contact with each other and replace real interaction either with an android or with drug abuse, something which Hank not only disapproves, but finds disturbing.

2) In the very first scene of the game, we see the mother despair when she learns they sent an android instead of a real human to save her daughter. Hank’s son didn’t survive because an android was sent to save him. Or at least that’s how Hank sees it. Much like that mother, he believes Cole would be alive if a human doctor had been there for Cole, another consequence of the ongoing depersonalisation process, as Hank sees it. 

This is why it’s so important for Connor to restore Hank’s faith in the possibility of there still being real human interaction left in this world. Of there being people who CARE about something. And if Connor fails to do so, repeatedly telling Hank he’s just a machine, this will trigger Hank to the point he’ll relive the day - or night - his son died because the hospital assigned a machine, something less than a human - an android - to save his son. Hank feels wronged, betrayed by mankind, by the very people he swore to protect as a police officer. Despite his efforts to save the city, they let him down. The fact that nobody cared enough to save Cole is what killed him inside and later triggered his suicidal tendencies. Human indifference took away the most important thing in his life.

Thoughout the game, Hank is watching you, trying to figure out what sort of person Connor is. This is why he questions your decisions after every mission. Remember his dialog with Connor where he asks why didn’t he shoot Chloe at Kamski’s place? That’s when he begins to wonder if androids aren’t more than just programmed machines and capable of free will…and even empathy.

Unless Connor’s actions succeed in restoring Hank’s hope in humanity, he sees no light at the end of the tunnel. And what could give a disillusioned, mourning father more hope than an android being able to feel and empathise with both humans and androids, to the point he rebels against his program and spares his targets, regardless of his mission?

There might be more on Hank, so this post will be edited in the future as I notice more details with each gameplay.

THE BAU PLAYING MINECRAFT:

JJ: Is busy filling in the map—no one has seen her for days but she has pillaged 3 villages and has an inventory full of saddles and gold bars. Has not spoken for 30 minutes and has left Cheeto dust prints all over Penelope’s white controller.

EMILY: Will never finish building that mob spawner because she is too busy trolling everyone on the server, especially Morgan—he keeps falling into her TNT traps.

ELLE: Is the one supplying Emily with the TNT, and switches between doing that and helping Spencer make a farm in the corner. Keeps disappearing to the nether and won’t tell anyone why.

SPENCER: Making a detailed inventory system in the base storage room and leaves everyone instructions on little wooden signs.

PENELOPE: Spends all her time dying sheep pink and collecting flowers, is ‘decorating’ their base, and has tamed 6 animals.

MORGAN: Running from Emily by day, by night, is down in the mines ‘providing’ for the group and killing mobs. His death count (thanks to Emily) stands at 9.

HOTCH: Thinks it’s called ‘Mein Kraft’ and leaves game night after 10 minutes to take work calls.

ROSSI: “When were you guys gonna tell me my controller wasn’t connected?!”

Ok this is based mostly on the "clean slate" chapter of the third season of and "the big wheel" of the fourth season of CM so please pay attention. In 1987 there were more than 10 murders in a small town in Virginia, the newspapers named him "the bloody stalker" But they stopped from one moment to another what nobody knew is that the bloddy stalker also known as Aaron hotchner suffered an accident that did lose memory. Now 21 years later the BAU is called to the people because a bloody stalker impersonator has started a new wave of murders, but why does everything seem so familiar to Hotch? And what are those memories that come to mind? The team tries to find the copycat as hotch discovers a past he never knew about, did I just create a perfect story for a fanfic? Yes, I'll write it, I don't think so, I need someone to write it twice, yes, please Sarah, tell me what you think about this

Okay so... I am a sucker for Memory Loss AU's. *AND* it turns out the murderer was Hotch all along? Let's see, I headcanon he was born in 1971, so he'd be about 16 in 1987 (def old enough to start murdering people, especially if he was just taking out all this pent up rage and aggression on teenaged girls/boys he could overpower easily. But why all the rage to begin with? Because he's getting the shit beat out of him at home, of course <3).

This is a freaking amazing premise for a fanfic, like holy hell. Just imagine the turmoil and trauma that Hotch would have to uncover and re-live through all over again, staring at these images of the people he killed when he was 16-17 years old, trying to figure out if this new killer is a copycat or the original come back. Memories slowly trickle into his nightmares, waking him in a cold sweat, the phantom feeling of blood on his hands.

Is he actually the kind-hearted man he thought he was? Or is he actually a monster who's been in hiding this whole time? Will this unlock a part of him that had been buried deep within him, cracking the perfect façade of Big Bad Unit Chief as he stares at himself in the bathroom mirror? Will the memory of the thrill, the relief, the feeling of freedom that came with taking a life flood his system with the need to do it again?

A few days ago I found some of my old Norman Osborn drawings from when Spider-Man no way home was released and maybe because of that I spent a good few hours on AO3 reading fanfic of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies...

my secret slightly ooc headcanon for prime all might is that he smokes.

it starts because of gran torino, who would smoke in the agency around nana. strong, brave, basically broken nana, who knows she can't afford to take on vices, not after giving up her baby to fight off that monster AfO. but smoking isnt the same as drinking. it won't make her faculties take leave of her. it won't...incapacitate her. and at the end of the day, sometimes, she just needs something to take the edge off so badly.

so when torino holds out a cigarette, she takes it.

she basically stops when toshinori becomes part of the picture. but sometimes- just sometimes, he'll get a whiff of smoke from her on a bad day. same smell that around torino and the agency.

and when nana dies, and torino smokes a pack a day because it hurts his heart and there isn't a damn thing he can do except training her boy the only way he knows, he can't even be mad when he finds toshinori, sixteen, grieving, aching, unlit cigarette between his fingers as he stares at it.

torino can only be grateful it isn't anything worse, so he tosses toshinori a lighter and tells him to say no to drugs and alcohol.

stan is the only member of the pines twins^2 to never make a deal with bill and i think he needs more credit for that.

ford makes, just, so many deals with his demon boyfriend

dipper literally trades his body to bill in sock opera

and while i will die on the hill that it was never her fault, mabel is tricked into making a deal with him for weirdmagenon.

but stan never gets tricked. the only time he comes close was when he was pretending to be ford but that was with the sole purpose of getting bill erased. never does bill get to him or twist his thoughts. for being the "dumb one" he's surprisingly rational in this was.

nobody matches bill intellectually, ford's fatal flaw is that he thought he did, and the pines family wins because they have an emotional core that bill never had (the power of sibling bonding saves the day and i love it) but ill go out on a limb and say that out of everyone, stan is the only one to match bill's street smarts.

bill's a master manipulator but stan is a professional con-artist with no respect for the law, you tell me who's coming out on top.

stan successfully faked his own death, ran a business for 30 years, taught himself some sort of advanced engineering to repair the portal, evaded local, federal and international authorities from the age of 18, and did it all without any support.

and going back to when he pretends to be ford to get bill to enter his mind, that scene makes stan the only character to ever outwit bill.

this originated when i was trying to think (shortly after the stanchurian candidate came out) about how they would end gideons ‘arc’. they couldnt kill him because hes just a kid, but sending him back to jail would be unsatisfying, right? my brain came up with the idea of him making a deal with bill for power- but bill, being a demon and loving his twisted genie logic, turns him into a dream demon. he technically has access to great power… but he’s also a ten year old trapped in the nightmare realm surrounded by monsters without a physical form, terrified of the dark and frankly in way over his head.

yeah somehow my brain thought this was the most child friendly option

he spends most of his time projecting into peoples dreams (take a wild guess as to whose he tries first) and generally trying to get someone to summon him into the physical realm so he can feel relatively human again. or possess a body. this… is kind of really depressing now that i think about it
