Hear Me Out On A Character Who Can Break The Fourth Wall, But Like, Is Really Bad At It.

Hear me out on a character who can break the fourth wall, but like, is really bad at it.

Like he’s in a game, but he thinks he’s in a tv show.

Or he knows he’s in a show, but he thinks he’s in season 6 when it’s actually just been 2 seasons.

Watch him try to look at the camera to speak to the audience, but he’s never able to actually find it. He just keeps on looking at random directions and starts talking to the audience but it’s never the actual direction of the camera so he’s never actually looking at us.

The other characters in his universe can’t break the fourth wall but they can very much see him trying to break it. They just leave him in his delusions… no matter how close to the truth he actually is, even if they don’t believe him.

Just think it’d be really funny and seems like a nice twist to the trope

Y’all know those fics where nightwing joins the justice league without anyone knowing about his connection to batman and stuff?

Well I need one where he joins the league and him and batman are able to act professional enough that no one even consider them knowing each other more than just as colleagues. They don’t seem particularly close, they work well together, which is to be expected considering how similar they are.

Literally everything is fine, no one has any doubts, it doesn’t cross anyone’s mind.

Then they walk in on them arguing.

At first it sounds like a classic argument that always happens when working on a team with someone. You’re bound to disagree on something at some point.

But then it starts to sound like the kind of argument that’s clearly a repeated thing. Whatever nightwing and batman are fighting about, they’ve faught about it before.

It starts sounding weirdly personnal. Too personnal for two coworkers who just started working together maybe a few months before.

It’s enough for the other members to start wondering if maybe the two might have known each other for longer than expected and have simply never mentionned it.

Then they hear it.

"Stop acting like you’re my father. I stopped being your responsibility a long time ago"

So I have this crush on one of my friends and when I told her, she said she wasn’t ready to be in a relationship but maybe there was a chance for us to be together in the future.

This week she said she liked me. I started panicking and I asked her what she meant, she said she didn’t know and that she was confused because of my charms, I ask what charms she was talking about because she’s the one who’s amazing, we then started insulting each other while trying to get the other to admit how perfect they were…

And now I’m just confused

Can we all just end the "What’s Yamato’s gender/pronouns in One Piece?" debate already?

Yes, Yamato is afab, but he still considers himself a man. I don’t care what the vivre card says, Yamato canonically uses masc pronouns in both the manga and the anime. Kaido calls him his son. Hell, Yamato even went to the MEN’s bathroom!

So please let’s just end it there. In canon, Yamato used masc pronouns and considers himself a male, so let’s just do that. It’s not that hard. I never understood why this debate was even a thing to begin with tbh

Why did Shanks lose his arm when saving Luffy instead of using haki?

Alright, now that's a question I'm sure most One Piece fans are wondering.

Most people seem to assume it's because Oda simply didn't plan for haki at that point in the story, so as the story got longer, it became some kind of unfortunate plot hole. Others might say it was a "bet on the new generation" because of what he said to Whitebeard.

Both are good guesses. But both are WRONG.

Shanks obviously lost his arm on purpose. He clearly purposefully didn't use haki and lost his arm as a conscious choice. But why would he do that, you might ask.

Obviously for the DRAMATICS, duh. The man LOVES to make un entrance. Using haki to assert dominance when visiting Whitebeard on his ship? That magnificent entrance in Marineford? Please the bastard loves his entrances.

What better way to make an entrance to save a kid than to purposefully and dramatically scarify one of your own limbs?? Nothing. AND Luffy is now much more impacted by the moment than he would be if Shanks didn't lose an arm trying to save him.

I'm telling y'all. Shanks is a dramatic king and we don't talk about it enough.

Me (eating alone in a cafe): *open phone to look at myself every five minutes to make sure I’m pretty*

My brain: The fuck are you doing

Me: Well I gotta look pretty

My brain: Why tho? You’re alone and no one’s looking at you

Me: Yeah but what if my soulmate comes in??

My brain: YOU DON’T EVEN BELIEVE IN SOULMATES

Me: Okay- true- but what if a cute person comes in?

My brain:

Me: There you go

My brain: WHY WOULD SOMEONE EVEN LOOK AT YOU

Me: IDK LET ME DREAM

So you know how we usually imagine Life as like, this happy going person with a white outfit and all colorful while Death would be this dark, calm, slightly depressed person with a black outfit?

Well what if it was the opposite?

Like, Life would be the dark and calm one. Seeing their creations dying over time made them lose interest and motivation in their job and they’re pretty much bored all the time because of it.

Death, on the other and, would be the one who’s always happy and full of energy. I think they would be like that because of how depressing their job is. I feel like they’d want to make it better somehow, for them, and for the souls they have to guide to the afterlife.

I think that could be an interesting way to represent the concept of Life and Death.

Be weird, switch them up and see what happens!

To any parents out there who’s dealing with their children coming out, telling everyone in your family about it without asking your kid’s permission first is not acceptable. You can’t just do someone’s coming out for them. And saying "It’s because it’s hard for me, I need to talk to someone" is not a good reason. Try thinking about their feelings. It’s way harder for them than it is for you. Can you imagine how stressful it’s going to be for them to go to family gatherings, knowing that everyone knows and might not be okay with it? No, you can’t. So shut up and be a good parent instead.

Being a multishipper while trying to write your own story is terribly hard because you start shipping every characters with each other even if it doesn’t make sense for the story so you start thinking about fanfictions about a story you didn’t even finish yet
