Me for no reason other than missing him:
He's tired and he only wants his girl to comfort him
(a grumpy nerd from this post )
Another great suggestion from @sonofthesaiyans
———
Eren - He use to enjoy playing baseball with his older brother, but these days he prefers soccer. But he might still pitch a few rounds every now and then. ⚾️
Mikasa - Is highly skilled in gymnastics, and can throw a punch is boxing. One day she might even become a professional on tv if she wants. 🤸♀️
Armin - Not the fittest in the bunch so he rolls around it with speed reading. His friends tell him that it’s not a real sport but he sticks to it anyway. 📖
Jean - He is the captain of the high school soccer team so that means he’s the best out of his friends. He practices at home and over at the park too. ⚽️
Marco - There’s a few that he’s good at but if he were to choose his favourite, it’d be tennis. He even won an award for best player in middle school. 🎾
Connie - Despite looking scrawny, he’s got some strong legs for athletics; mainly running. He doesn’t mind a good run every so often either. 🏃♂️
Sasha - Of course it’s archery. She has the best aim, good instincts and all the years of hunting with her family pay off. Now all she needs is a good target. 🏹
Historia - During the winter, she loves to figure skate. She learned to do neat tricks real fast. She brought Ymir along one time and she sucked at it. ⛸
Ymir - There’s not many sports she genuinely likes, so stretching exercises is the closest one. Historia encourages her to do so and that’s all that matters. 🙆♀️
Annie - She’s also good at gymnastics but her strengths lie in martial arts. She can compete within a judo contest and wipe the floor with anyone. 🥋
Reiner - Boxing is a major strength with him too. Other times he claims arm wrestling to be a sport, maybe just as an excuse to bond with his friends. 💪
Bertholdt - Use to compete in volleyball, until he kept getting smacked in the face on accident. Now he just settles in baseball and loves it. 🏐
Hi idk if you've answered smth similar before but who do you think among 104th was closest or maybe most impacted by levi ? I would go for jean or armin but would love to hear your thoughts.
Ps : I love you and your analysis posts keep doing them ❤never give clowns the time of day
Hi there!
I have answered similar questions to this, haha. Jean is the character that comes to mind first when I think of who Levi had the biggest impact on. I actually fairly recently wrote a post about the relationship between Levi and Jean, and specifically, Levi's influence on Jean, which you can read here:
I think Levi had a significant impact on pretty much everyone, though. Armin, for sure. I think Armin actually understands Levi better than any of the other members of the 104th, because I think each of them are actually really similar, particularly in regards to the way both of them values life and sees life as innately valuable, without needing any, great purpose to make it so. There's also the fact that, out of everyone, Armin understood early on the kind of selfishness inherent in clinging to a sense of moral righteousness at the expense of others. This idea of maintaining our "moral purity" by refusing to get our hands dirty, and how, ultimately, that can cause more harm than good. Armin suffers from deep insecurity and a sense of self-loathing, so he refuses to call himself a good person, but I think he, as well as Levi, are both objectively good people, and part of that goodness is manifest in the way neither of them prioritizes their ability to call themselves good people over actually helping people, i.e. actually being good people. Even if it means having to live with blood on their hands and the pain of that, the way that can eat away at their sense of self-identity, they're both willing to do it without hesitation so long as it means no one else has to.
I also think Levi has a huge impact on Mikasa. Mikasa started out being pretty single minded and self-interested. Her entire reason for joining the SC was because she wanted to be with Eren, and her desire for that was the main motivator behind a lot of her actions early on. But as the story progresses, Mikasa gradually learns to start letting that motivation go, and starts genuinely caring about and fighting for others, until by the end, she gives up on her dream of being with Eren completely, by taking his life for the sake of humanity. I think Mikasa learned a lot of her selflessness from Levi, who's entire character is largely defined by selflessness. Levi never does anything for himself. Everything he does has always been for the benefit of others, fighting to save lives, to prove his fellow comrades sacrifices weren't in vain, fighting for the dreams of others, lending his strength to those dreams, rather than having or fighting for any dream of his own. That's been true of Levi since "No Regrets". I think Levi letting Erwin go sort of set the blueprint for Mikasa later doing the same with Eren. Not that Levi's relationship with Erwin was the same as Mikasa's with Eren, but Erwin was a very important person to Levi, for reasons I've spoken about at length, and he let Erwin go for Erwin's sake. People always say this decision was selfish, but it was actually the exact opposite. Levi lost someone that he relied on to guide him. It was a completely selfless sacrifice, one born out of compassion, made to end the suffering of a fellow human being. That's a lot like Mikasa letting go of Eren. She lost the person she loved and dreamed of spending her life with, and she chose to lose him to save what remained of humanity.
Anyway, thank you for your kind words and I hope my answer was what you were looking for!
i use tiktok mostly just to post my own edits and see my mutuals stuff now bc im sick of the fandom on there. most of them clearly watched the show with their head up their ass or smth because they’re manage to come up with the most simultaneously hilarious and horrible takes ever.
also because not a single one of them can take bertholdt’s character seriously without rehashing the exact same name jokes i’ve heard since i joined the fandom in 2021. like sure some are funny but it gets so old so quickly, and when you make a post actually going into his character and being a bit more serious the comments are just “poor [some word beginning with b]” like PLEASE SHUT UP FOR A MOMENT!!!
literally had to put in the caption of one of my bert videos “stfu about his name for once” bc i knew the kind of comments i’d receive if i didn’t.
this fandom rather completely forgets his character (who is extremely important to the plot and towards the entire character of reiner but that’s a whole other thing), hates him for what he did even tho they love reiner/annie, or they treat him like a joke and never bother to go past surface level with his character.
he is the most interesting warrior imo because he was the first to openly admit and see that all the fighting was stupid and pointless. that the paradis eldians were no different from him and him killing them wasn’t personal, it was what had to be done to save his father. there’s alot more to him but im worried this will become like 3k words if i dont stop but most of the fandom can’t even comprehend that its actually ridiculous.
people treat him like absolute shit because he died first and he was weak when firstly shut the fuck up?? he was not weak in the slightest and had the most powerful titan ability bar the actual fucking founding titan. like oh my god. and other people say “oh he was too attached to reiner” dog that’s the point. of his character. oh my god.
idk i think im just sick of the fandom treating him like this. he and connie are imo the most overlooked characters in the entire animanga.
and don’t even get me started on how shit both him and connie are treated in official arts and stuff bc. wow
Lmao the memes didn't lie, he really just said it so casually
I saw everyone drawing Mikasa in Eren's shirt so I would like to offer this concept for consideration
