my GOSH I'm reading the manga rn (i jump around to random parts idfk) and im reading the warriors backstory and WHY WAS SM OF THIS LEFT OUT OF THE ANIME ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Annie: "Or what, do you want me to get close to one of the men in the family and marry into it?"
Bertholdt: "NO, YOU CANT DO THAT"
(Later)
Annie: "Plus, I don't have the mind of charm it takes to seduce a man"
Bertholdt: "THATS NOT TRUE!
Annie: "...? Thanks?"
Flippin Bertholdt the anime did you so dirty ill never forgive them
Even just like, the bit of him looking at wall Maria for the first time was absolutely tragic.
did anyone else during their first watch of aot just automatically assume that reiner and bertholdt were a pre-established couple because of how they were literally always together or was that just me
"I would punch a Nazi" also included Zionists fyi
i mentioned this in another post's tags but sometimes I feel like the only AOT fan on the planet who understands that the end of the Rumbling didn't suddenly fix everything and it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows after
ESPECIALLY FOR THE WARRIORS
all of them have SEVERE PTSD on top of grieving a majority of their comrades and their childhood home
furthermore, Reiner and Pieck haven't even seen Annie in 4 years and there's so much to address there
and there's this disconnect between Pieck and the other 2 because Reiner and Annie got sent to Paradis 5 years prior to Pieck so they have no understanding of what the other experienced
i really hope Reiner gets to heal his relationships with the others
i really hope Annie learns empathy
but i especially hope that Pieck gets to actually express her true feelings for once instead of keeping it all together because she's the older sister in a way

Yall this took forever to finish. So glad I actually decided to continue it instead of abandoning it in my draftsššæ I love this brush so much and have been using it for a while now, I might make more arts like this occasionally bc they take forever.
Other than that, pray for me yallšš½or help me manifest bc things have not been going well for me for a while. I just have not had any luck this past yr. Anyways I love berumin and the handful of us berumin truthers out here (š¤you know who you areš£ļø)
š berumin yapping belowā¬ļøš£ļøā¼ļøā ļø
I think this is my first actual Berumin art, wherein itās obviousš all of the other ones Iāve made of these two are so all over the place and parts of aus I made, but this one is just something I did for fun a yr ago and left the sketch alone(it was so close to being abandoned fr) until I got back to it two weeks ago and decided to pull through. At first I was just gonna do a simple lineart and got carried away and then had to go all out to make everything match and make sense. It rly was a process doing the limbs and having to change a lot of the posing.
Idk what it was but I added those nails to armin on one hand and had to do it for ALL of them, it just rly played into the demon aspect so well I couldnāt resist. This originally didnāt have all the smaller details and I rly just made a lot of it along the way.
I rly liked thinking of this dynamic where Bert is more gentle/pure? And Armin is more deceptive and controlling? Idrk how to describe how I imagined it in my mind when I first made this but thatās the gist of it. Armin at first had a curious expression than the sly one he has here in the old sketches, and there was even a very rough sketch version where heās an angel instead but I didnāt find it that appealing as a concept and I remember that sketch being so frustrating to get the wings right and I think thatās why I dropped this drawing at first.
Anyways š£ļøš£ļøI LOVE BERT and MINš£ļøš£ļøšš¢š
I actually like how ambiguous I left the context of this because there rly is a lot of possibilities this could go story-wise. Like, does Armin appear to Bertolt physically and everyone can see him but heās only befriending Bert for demonic(?) purposes or is Armin manifested by Bertolt subconsciously. Is Armin a representation of Bertās corruption? Who knows? I honestly couldnāt tell you but thatās probably why I was happy to make this more detailed than my usual stuff.
Other than that I do like the idea that perhaps Armin was a fallen angel that was casted out and became a demon? Something like that. Maybe Bert became a man of the cloth as a result of shame and guilt over something he did and that mirrors Arminās fall from grace in how they both have to mask who they used to be???? Maybe none of this is real and this is Bertās divine punishment in purgatory? What if there was a universe in which Bert wronged Armin in someway and Bertās psyche takes a hit because of it?
Itās possible this isnāt even Armin but who knows?
Yall maybe Iām cooking with this actually.š¤šš©š½āš¦Æšæ
What do you perceive this as and what is your take from just this alone? I kinda wanna know how everyone else would interpret them in thisšļøšļøš³š„ŗšš½š
Should I do another version of this but with concepts around demonology or something? Idk.
Btw I plan on finishing another berumin drawing I started last yr ,but based on a rly good berumin fic I read, I just havenāt gotten back to it.
hanged man
We don't talk about Reiner's bravery enough. He called Annie short to her face and lived to tell the tale
How can you say bertholdt wasnt important to reiner? bertholdt was the only person who never hurt reiner and cared for him uncoditionally seriously?!
Well, if thatās the case then why isnāt Isayama bothering to put some light into it or develop it on screen insead of developing it in background overshadowed by Reinerās relationship with Eren and Annie or even Marcel? We can see in the flashbacks that Reiner always admired Marcel because he was their groupās leader, he was strong. Because of Marcel, Reiner started feeling guilt and remorse, because of Annie he regained himself and promised her that he will become the leader and get them all home, so we got to know it was Annie who he first promised to return home alive and not Bertholdt like everyone thought. He tried to understand her. He also related a lot to Eren during their trainee times and always watched over him, he treated him like his younger brother. As for Bertholdt? He didnāt really treat him as nicely as Eren, he really couldnāt have cared less, he said it himself that he was unreliable and despite knowing Eren killed Bertholdt he understood him and apologized to Eren for everything that happened to him. He played no role in Reinerās character arc. And we also learn that Bertholdt had no role inside the walls and didnāt do anything the entire years spent there, it was just Annie and Reiner.Ā We also learn that it was Reiner who wanted to continue the mission so in the end Bertholdt really was nothing more but a vessel of the Colossal Titan and a person to asure Reiner would stay alive. Falco and Gabi play bigger part in Reinerās life now and if thereās someone who will cause Reiner to strengthen up it will be one of them.
I am so sick of the news referring to Donald Trump ātrollingā other foreign leaders like heās 12
Disrespecting, the word you mean is disrespecting, the president of the United States enjoys publicly disrespecting other heads of state. Heās not on XBox live saying he had sex with other playerās moms, heās referring to the prime minister of Canada as Governor and repeatedly commenting on how he wants to conquer the guys land and make him subservient
Stop acting like heās a little jokester next to other diplomats who are too serious like this is a 2000s romcom, he has said heās considered taking over Greenland with military force
