no see the thing is. the thing IS. no one gets it? JACK doesn't get it. for jack, it was all physical. it was friendship and hockey and a little bit of self discovery, sure, but it was also messy and toxic and then it was over because he got hurt and it had to be. jack saw every reason it had to be over in glaring detail. but no one gets what it was for kent because he didn't get it and he never talked about it. he was young and he was scared and they were intense, ok, and that might be jack's default, so it doesn't stand out for him, but for kent? it was so much. it was his first....something. and he still doesn't have words to explain what that first even WAS??? and when it ended, it was a one sided choice, and he didn't make it. he didn't know what the terms were, he never got closure! that shit stings years later when you're NOT emotionally stunted and repressed, like?

and its like this open wound for so long and it becomes this thing where he just keeps picking at it and trying to patch it himself but he cant do it alone! and then suddenly jack is right in front of him again but its a different jack but kent is still stuck, still trying to make sense of it all and thats so fucking SAD. not to poor little meow meow code him but like? baby girl you are so pathetic i just want to hold you. who is going to tell you that you can't keep chasing the feeling of being 17 and recklessly entangled in feelings for your best friend who you KNOW you can't be with? who's going to tell you that's not love??? hopefully a therapist!!!!!!

bringing my thread here in honor of the ballad of songbirds and snakes trailer today because the "lucy gray parallels katniss" people are out there and they are wrong, lucy gray baird is peeta mellark and sejanus plinth is katniss everdeen and i will die on this hunger games hill

I finally figured out what it was about IKSW that I didn't make a whole big splash about it unlike Casey's other two books. It's about the good, the bad and the ugly.

Shara had a secret. And to protect that secret she took an ugly, compicated, overcompensating road. Chloe wanted to define herself so went down with the 'Bad Bitch Deal With It'™ persona route. Smith figured out the clues about halfway through but kept silent. Most of the characters in IKSW do bad things, and as teenagers living in a stressful controlling environment, while it may not be justified, the source of their choices can absolutely be understood.

And that's something that's been missing in RWRB and OLS. Alex and Henry never do anything outright morally wrong. The OLS gang, as chaotic as they are, commit multiple felonies but not a moral wrong. Maybe they're grownups, maybe their circumstances are different, maybe Casey has progressed with their writing style. Either way, this is a new thing to have been introduced in the Mcquistonverse.

And let's face it, none of us likes having the ugly side of us being pointed out. And as brilliant an author Casey is, they've pointed something out to each of us that resonated, and those things are not necessarily sunshine and rainbows. Which means, we've put it away, let it wash over and forgotten about it. Because of course I'd rather read about Henry playing piano to Alex or Niko being a psychic plant dad than realize how angry and hurt and raging I've been as a teenager, and how much of that stemmed from the lack of emotional support from the people who were supposed to be it

Predicting Your Future Spouse’s Physical Appearance Based On Your Darakaraka Planet 💫🪞

In my previous post we predicted you future spouse based on your Darakaraka planet aka “DK” planet. Your DK planet is the lowest degree planet in your Vedic Sidereal birth chart. 

We talked about their characteristics in that post but lets see what their physical traits might be 👀

SUN 

With Sun Darakaraka, your spouse can have squarish/angular features, a strong jawline, broad face shape, and overall have a masculine appearance. Their shoulders/chest can be broad or large. Their hair can be thin with a golden/brown color. Their complexion (undertones) can be warm/reddish/golden. They can have a strong, healthy body and be on the taller side. (6ft+)

MOON 

With Moon Darakaraka, your spouse can have a round face, eyes or nose. They can have a fleshy body with fuller curves/chest and have a youthful appearance. They may be medium to tall in height. Their complexion can be fair, pale, or luminescent, with cool/neutral undertones. Your person can have hair that is thick, dark or even curly or wavy. Moon can give a soft/feminine look to the appearance (even for a male spouse). More often than not, this gives a spouse who is attractive/beautiful.

MERCURY 

With Mercury Darakaraka, your spouse can have a petite, dainty, or slender frame. They can be tall or short, but usually manifests as medium height. They can look quite youthful and look younger than their actual age. They might look androgynous or have a style that is both feminine and masculine. VENUS

JUPITER  With Jupiter Darakaraka, your spouse can have a large, well-proportioned frame. Height and size is emphasized here, where your person is taller or larger than average. Their body type can be fleshy, or their mid-section/chest can have extra padding. Their butt/thighs can be pronounced also. Your person’s complexion can have a fair/warm/orange/reddish undertone. Jupiter can “soften” their appearance as well, where it’s not so angular. 

SATURN

With Saturn Darakaraka, your spouse can have a frail, tall or slim frame. They can have and mature or older-looking appearance. Their disposition can be solemn, serious or refined. Their eyes can be deep-set and they may have high cheekbones/gaunt cheeks. Their complexion can be dark, tan, neutral or cool toned. Your person’s teeth can be pronounced as well, where their smile is prominent or they have something unique with them (like a gap). Their hair might be dark, thick or curly.

Okay so what if Ladybugs identity wasn’t revealed to a main character first?

This is head canon btw that i think has a lot of potential.

Basically the idea is what if Ladybugs identity as Marinette is revealed to a less prominent character (basically not Chat Noir/Adrien, Alya, or any of the people in her inner circle). What if it was... Jagged Stone?

Picture this:

Jagged is just chilling out in a back alleyway for a break because his manager is really getting on his nerves when an akuma attack starts

He’s in a kinda hidden spot so at first glance the alley look empty and Marinette is like “oh perfect place to transform!”

Insert the whole Ladybug transformation here

So Jagged is just standing there like “WHAT? this spunky little designer is mf L A D Y B U G??!”

And proceeds to freak out in this alley until Ladybug comes back and detranforms, she looks around and oh shit

Marinette sees Jagged Stone just staring at her slack-jawed and she starts freaking out because nobody’s supposed to know even Chat doesn’t know, what is she supposed to do?

So they have a little talk about this being really secret, Jagged being the only one who knows, and how this could put him in danger if Hawkmoth suspects they know each other

Jagged totally understands he’s like “cool Marinette, i got you don’t even worry about it.” and immediately lets it slip to Penny

Luckily she’s the only one there so now the two people who know Ladybugs identity are Jagged Stone and Penny

I picture the Jagged and Marinette would get really close and he would help her out with Ladybug excuses. I think that he would turn into her bonus dad and Penny would be her bonus mom. Here are some helpful and sweet high jinks that would ensue:

Jagged and Marinette having little code words that they text to each other so that Marinette can basically say “call me I need an excuse to leave whatever i’m doing.”

Penny and Jagged getting super worried about Marinette staying healthy

Little family dinners at Jagged’s mansion or the Dupian-Cheng bakery

Marinette’s parents being really confused as to why their daughter just basically got adopted by Jagged Stone but welcoming him into the family none the less.

Basically Jagged and Penny talk to Tom and Sabine about how awesome Marinette is, the four adults get really close and are best friends (don’t fight me on this).

If Jagged is in the area he let’s Marinette transform in his limo or he’d just shelter her

Letting her know that projects she’s working on for him are due before he actually needs them so that if Ladybug stuff gets in the way he just lets her have more time

Being really concerned about the amount of sleep she’s getting

Letting her rant to him about school problems (cough cough Lila) because now she can tell someone why she knows for sure that Lila is lying

I feel like there is also good opportunities for revealing Lila with this head cannon.

Just picture:

Maybe there’s an assignment like show what a person who is close to you does in a day or interview a person you look up to so you can learn about their culture and life and then present to the class

Everyone is like “Lila you have so many cool people to choose from! You know so many celebrities, so who are you gonna interview?”

Marinette already knows that she is going to interview either Jagged Stone or Penny when Lila says, “why Jagged Stone of course! I could probably even get him to come into the class, but i’m not sure it might be too short notice.”

Marinette is just sitting here like: “I’m going to ruin this mans whole career.”

The day comes and Jagged Stone is in class! (Marinette decided to interview Penny and Jagged came to support Penny because she works so hard and he wants to be there when Marinette shares how awesome Penny is).

Jagged Spots Lila and glares at her, while Lila is like “shit!” everyone else is excited because Lila actually got Jagged Stone to come!

Now Lila’s plan was to say he couldn’t come and instead they did a video interview (you had to bring the person into class). Lila has edited clips together of his old interviews to make it seem like she was the one taking to him. But now Jagged was there, in person.

Lila presents right before Marinette, she probably says something like, “I didn’t know Jagged would make it so here was our video interview.” Everyone is like wow Lila so thoughtful so prepared but then Marinette goes...

And you can picture it, Jagged walks up to the front with her and Penny. Marinette does her presentation exactly how she planned it, just talking about Penny what she does for Jagged and what her life is like. Everyone is speechless

At the very end Jagged is like, “just a side note but i have never owned a kitten and i just met this Ms. Rossi today.” before sassy walking out of the classroom.

People lose their shit

I assume someone gets akumatized

One more thing! Sorry this is so long. But this could also be great angst for Ladynoir. Chat gets really hurt because he finds out and thinks that Ladybug told mf Jagged Stone before him, her partner. Angst happens but then happy ending. Okay that’s it, I might add more to this idea later or I could try to make it but with another side character.
