Quick background info before we start:
I’m a triplet
All of us are biologically female, but one of them came out as either gender nuetral or gender fluid, (I know the difference between the two I just can’t remember which one they identified as) so I refer to them as they/them. Occasionally though I might refer to them as he/him because they like to go by those pronouns too.
I don’t know if either of them want me to use their real names so I’m going to refer to the oldest one, the other girl, as Primm, and the other one, gender fluid/gender nuetral one as Kilo.
So I went to go get ice cream with 2 of my siblings and my mom. We were in a convertible with the roof down so the employees could easily see us when they gave us our order. I was in the front with my mom and my siblings were in the back. The person who gave us our ice cream was a sweet and funny old man. He looked at my siblings and said, “I wonder how you two got in the back together.” In other words he thought that my siblings were dating each other. My mom and I bursted out laughing when we drove off, and my siblings were just in shock. The best part was that before this Kilo had just gotten their hair cut and dyed. It was already hard to tell that all three of us were related because we all had very different heights, faces, and senses of style, despite being triplets, so the new hair didn’t help. So I remarked that it would be hilarious if someone thought that they were dating either me or Primm. Both of them just looked at me like I was insane. Neither of them thought it would happen. Then a few weeks later the ice cream story happened.

I was once in this old English play called Emma in high school. There is this one scene where two characters are on a carriage with one guy pulling them around. Well someone in the crew didn’t move one of the chairs from the previous scene. So the guy pulling the carriage is trying to make his way around the stage while trying the avoid the chair left in the middle of the stage. It became known as the phantom chair.
In the same play on our last show everyone decided that we had nothing left to lose and improvised everything to hell and back. I was playing a larger than life character called Mrs Elton. In one scene I take the beloved chair of the main character’s father. The thing is the guy who plays the father is one of the funniest theatre people I know. So when I took his seat he proceeded to try and fight me. My best friend playing a different character is holding this man back. So the audience is seeing an old man kicking and punching air being held by another dude while the woman who took his seat is completely unaware. The audience was losing it with laughter, and it was taking all my self control to not look behind me or laugh.
But I think the funniest interaction I ever had for this show was offstage. The guy who played my husband was this extremely bulky and muscular football player. While backstage he told me “I’m warning you now that most girls tend to fall in love with me.” My response? “You don’t have to worry about that I’m a lesbian.” His face immediately lit up and he said “Oh! Okay!” I think that actually helped us act like a husband and wife because he didn’t need to worry about me reading into him being very extravagant while being my “husband.”
Apparently my director went to see a production of West Side Story a few years ago, and the guy playing Chino forgot his gun before coming out for his final scene. Once it got to the big scene where he is supposed to shoot Tony, he screeched “Poison Boots” and kicked the actor playing Tony until he went down. The girl playing Maria then had to jerk the shoe off of Chino’s foot, and had to do the gunshot scene asking “How many kicks Chino? How many kicks, and one kick left for me”.
Can confirm. Tornado sirens are just your typical weekly event here in Michigan. The one time I can remember it being real didn’t stop me from driving home during it.
Now you can understand how it sounds when i hear any siren
I’m not 100% sure that my explanation is accurate, but here it is:
Alya’s and Nino’s ship name was made popular before season 1 even finished, so the fandom had little alternate names to go off of. I’m pretty sure it was popularized before it was revealed that there were going to be more miraculous holders, so that eliminates using the hero names. Obviously Oblivio was also a ways away as well. We didn’t even know if the show was going to have people be akaumatized more than once either. We also wanted to be more creative than smashing their names together. So the villain names were the obvious choice. But honestly Lady Wi-Fi is a much cooler name than Bubbler so it makes sense that only Alya’s villain name stuck. Using DjWifi alludes to the fact that both characters can be very tech savvy (Alya is obvious, but Nino needs to know how to use tech in order to be a dj). It just kinda worked and sounded good. That’s why it’s called DJWifi instead of something else.
Why is it called DJWifi? Like Nino is a DJ but he was never an evil DJ. I mean Bubbler did force people to dance but he has no DJ powers. But Alya isn’t always Lady Wifi. Their unified form is Oblivio but that doesn’t have to do with that either.
I'm not sure why it's called DJWifi, it's been called that since before I entered the fandom during season 3. It does stand out as unique among ship names in the ML fandom, every other one I can think of is a standard portmanteau couple name based on either their civilian or superpowered identities.
Can anyone who's been in the fandom long enough to remember when this term was coined clarify?

I had the weirdest dream last night. I was trying to escape some weird facility and I was snooping around where I shouldn’t have. I stole a name tag and ID so I could get around. But I grabbed a name tag that said Mike and everyone looked at me and was like you don’t look like a Mike. So dream me thought of ways that it would make since for someone who was very obviously a girl to be named Mike. Dream me blurted out “It’s my dead name.” And it fucking worked! Don’t know why my dream did that, but it was kinda funny to me.
I kinda need to rant here.
I just watched the new Dear Evan Hansen movie and I personally thought it was amazing. So imagine my surprise when I see that so many people hated the movie. Now I don’t expect people to live the movie just because I love it, but I feel like people are giving this movie WAY too much hate. I think one of main reasons people don’t like it is because it’s an adaptation. They go in expecting it to be exactly like the musical, and then throw a hissy fit when it’s not. Both are different experiences. It’s supposed to be different. That doesn’t mean that the movie is bad! There seems to be a common pattern of pointing out a flaw of the movie, but failing to mention that the musical actually had similar problems!
One of the other complaints heard is that the movie makes them uncomfortable. ITS KINDA SUPPOSED TO BE! When talking about serious issues like mental health, it’s going to make people uncomfortable. Also did they not watch the musical. Both have multiple uncomfortable moments. For Pete’s sake I’m pretty sure the Muscial has more moments that make you wish that that person kept that thought in their head.
I also feel like people don’t understand that the musical, in my opinion, never actually addressed the mental health issues directly. It was mainly shown through the mental health stigma surrounding Conner, but most of that stigma wasn’t called out. Any time that it was was really minor and only in a few sentences. When I watched the musical I was the only one out of my siblings to point out all of the issues. The musical represents mental stigma by having all of the characters stigmatize people, without actually addressing that their actions are wrong. Kind of a this is what the world is type of situation. The movie is a lot more direct when addressing that stigma based behaviors of people, calling them out, and showing the different types of ways that people handle their own issues. I LOVED that the movie decided to use Alana’s character to show that even the most seemingly put together people can struggle with the same issues, not just the social outcasts.
Now I have fondness for both the musical and the movie. Both bring different things to the table, and I appreciate that. The Muscial does some things better and I think the movie does other things better. I’m not saying that no one has the right to hate the movie. But I am saying that people need to start looking at things from different angles. You might still not like the movie, but can still appreciate that it’s something that others can find joy out of it.
I’m not sure if I explained my thought process well, but hopefully some people see where I am coming from.
No, no, this isn't an AI-generated image! It's a 220 million-year-old petrified log located in Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona, USA. This park is famous for its vast petrified wood deposits. Petrified wood forms when minerals replace the wood fibers over millions of years, resulting in fossilized wood that can be as hard and colorful as gemstones. The log in the picture is entirely replaced by quartz crystals, making it sparkle in the close-up view. This log, dating back to the Late Triassic Period, about 225 to 207 million years ago, serves as a fascinating reminder of the ancient forests that once covered this area.
