Agree w this girl, I am also actively looking out for more Beatles reads, & had finished some books like the members' autobiographies, songs analysis, fashion etc... i am also intrigued by how the authors got the members and other sources eg. The band's family members, close friends etc to compile for their books... such extensive research... ๐๐
He will always be my 5th Beatle๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ธ๐ผ๐ต๐ถ๐๐๐ง๐ป๐น๐ปalso, this is a very nice art work... it fits the 'A Day In The Life' mv mood....
Had a day and I rewatched the music video for A Day in the Life. It's a triumph of emotion and human complexity. To avoid feeling left out of all that gorgeous handheld camera footage, I redrew a frame.
Yesโฆ.๐๐i agree w Pooh Bearโฆ
Iโm really sick of that shit
This๐๐george w those weird shades (groovy), paul looking all tired (sup bro?), john looking shocked (wonder why...) & normal ringo but this was where the mini tragedy in their tour happened... to be famous and wanted... and how hard it is to live up to ppl's expectations...๐๐
The Beatles in Manila, Philippines | July 1966

John, aboard the 'Megan Jaye'
"After a short swim, we sat in lawn chairs, drying off. We'd been on the terrace for about ten minutes, when the housekeeper called from the house, 'Dinner ready!' Again, I raced up to the cottage and changed. Back at the house, I joined John, Sean, and his nanny Helen at the kitchen table. Uda-san served us stir-fried vegetables and brown rice.
'They told me in the office,' I said with a mouthful of food, 'that you sailed here from Newport, Rhode Island. Where's the sailboat? I'd love to go sailing. Where's the boat?'
'The boat was rented. It's already gone back.'
John suddenly jumped up from his chair, left the kitchen, and quickly returned with a photo album, which he put on the table between us. 'I took the Polaroid camera with me. Here's the boat. It's a 43-foot sloop. This is me at the helm,' he said pointing to another photo. 'I took it meself'. The photo showed him in a bright yellow raincoat with the hood down. His long hair hung in wet strands around his grinning face. โWe got hit by a bad storm and everyone got seasick. When Captain Hank needed to rest, he put me at the helm and showed me what to do. At first, I was afraid. But soon I lost my fear and began to shout at the storm!โ
As he spoke, John's Liverpool accent became stronger. I rarely heard him use the vernacular โme,โ now he used it in every sentence. After dinner, he kissed Sean, wished everyone a good night, and went into his room. The following morning, I ate breakfast alone, while I chatted with Uda-san.
'You see John,' she said.' He changedโvery happy.'
'Yes, he seems different. I've never seen him so energetic.'
'John tell me about how lonely he is. Life in Dakota is like living in jail; worst than jailโno human life. Sean call it ghost house.' "

Yes... i saw some ppl commented 'A Series Of Unfortunate Events'... ๐๐
i think itโs good for kids to read at least one horrifically dark, graphic YA series when theyโre too young to fully get it. gives them some flavor.
Ringo is a sweet guy. As you know he's given up booze and cigarettes. He's too clean for words. He and his wife Barbara are such sweet people. And as a drummer he is unique. He's not a great technical drummer if you measure him against someone like Steve Gadd or Jeff Porcaro, he wouldn't be able to play like that. But he has a unique sound. When you hear Ringo, you know it's Ringo, there's no one else. He contributed an enormous amount to The Beatles' sound with his distinctive sounding drums. Enormously supportive, he was always there.
Apart from his drumming he would be the catalyst. His opinions counted. If John was doing something a bit dubious and Ringo would say, "That's crap, John," John would take it out. He wouldn't get angry, he would accept it.
