reminder: liking a trans woman doesn’t make a man gay. kissing a trans woman doesn’t make a man gay. falling in love with a trans woman doesn’t make a man gay. having sex with a trans woman doesn’t make a man gay. even having sex with many trans women, or only trans women, doesn’t make a man gay. there is no conceivable sex act a man could engage in with a trans woman, no matter what her genital status, that would make him gay, or even bi.

It’s an experiment. 

I’ve written two books with such a protagonist. Pantomime, which just made a top ten title for the  2014 ALA Rainbow list, and the just-released sequel, Shadowplay. The first one is set in a circus and the second on a magician’s stage.

You don’t have to reblog to say you’d read MY books (though that’d be nice and part of the hope of this post is that it’ll spread awareness that my books are out there), just that you WOULD read one.

My best friend and her boyfriend are always hanging out together. So when I got back from college, I thought they would ignore me. Turns out that they talked about me a lot when I was gone, and her boyfriend asked lots of questions about asexuality. So now they take me on platonic dates and let me tag along with them everywhere. Its funny tho. I used to think I had a crush on him, but having this relationship is everything I didn't know I needed.
