For those who say that russia attacking Ukraine is a “white people war” and that it doesn’t concern people of color
Can you draw the delightful children or sector z pls I love your art so much!
Ah, those delightful kids from down the lane? 🤗 Sure!
Honestly that Sector Z reveal? Had done something to me, like, even as a kid?? 😭 Like WDYM the series main antagonists were legendary agent kids, but an adult brainwashed them into his obedient little dolls and they are stuck like this forever??? And only 2-3 people in the whole universe know about this?? Like, bro???
(also thanks! 🤭 ✌️)

Remember the episode where the First Squad turned into animals? And I was wondering, is it possible to use the Cave of Spirits to turn an animal into a human? What would ApeTrully and Jumpy look like as humans? And what kind of animal would Mr. No Hands become?
It would certainly be an interesting and fun concept!
I feel like Apetrully would look pretty similar to his usual form, just less hairy (cause you know... humans...monkies... lol) and possibly Albino-esque? Considering his very white/red coloring. Jumpy on the other hand is a well of possibilities! Also, admittedly I drew him with white eyes at first, before i realized that he still could have black, like Lin Chung.
Mr. No Hands gives off bird energy for sure. Maybe an Albatross? Loud and very brazen. xD Or a Crane, and his crest could be same yellow color as his headband.
(sorry for low effort birds, drawing animals is hard)
Hi, guys. I've created this tumblr a few years ago to post only my drawings and stuff about my favourite games, only sometimes talking about my real-life issues. And I wanted to let it remain this way, but because of what is happening in my country I can't.
As you may know, I'm from Ukraine. We've been at war with Russia for past 8 years - that's almost a half of my life (I'm currently 19). Russia Federation has annexed Crimea in 2014 and occupied our territories. Yesterday, Putin declared those occupied territories as independent - even though, it's still a part of Ukraine and everyone understands that that's against all freaking laws.
I should've been planning my life, waiting for Fable reboot and thinking how fiercely I'll punch Solas in face in Dragon Age 4. But instead I'm packing backpack in case we'll be forced to run from our home. Past three months, I've been living with thought, that maybe today will be my last day in Kyiv and everything is because of some imperialistic country nearby. Because of some idiot-dictator, who just doesn't wants to admit that USSR is no more.
If anyone wants to help our military forces to defend my country - here are some ways:
1. The charity fund Come Back Alive – https://t.co/DtbpTEabGP
2. Charitable Foundation Voices of Children – https://t.co/Ekdg68dfOE
3. Crowdfunding platform The People’s Project – https://t.co/NVuasgPRc8
4. Ministry of Defence of Ukraine – https://t.co/yoc6X6uzNW
Thank you for your attention, I really appreciate it. Even if you don't care about Ukraine, just think of this - they won't stop on us.
Слава україні.
Bojack Horseman
a lot of us know it and love it, but for the ones who never got around to it, PLEASE watch it at some point in your life. it has so many good storylines centered around depression, addiction, sexism, repercussions of child abuse, and the daily struggles of living in this messed up world that we all know and can relate to. it'll punch you in the gut with some of the most unique storytelling you'll see in your life
Tuca & Bertie
created by the lead character designer of Bojack, this show may seem like a spinoff from the look but it isn't in the slightest. created and starring amazing women and letting women be funny in their own unique way that feels so genuine and following the story of these two crazy bird friends, I cannot tell you the emotional rollercoaster this one took me on. our mains struggle with anxiety and sexual harassment, with some great queer rep, and the stories are so fun and inventive that you can't help but have a blast
Final Space
I could talk about this show for DAYS, but I already have in this post so I won't go on a massive rant rn. it may look like a normal little scifi comedy show at the beginning, but this show'll blow you away with plot for days. if you want an action show that has consistent storylines, here ya go. it's so heartfelt, and it has stories revolving around coping with loss and loneliness by building new connections and new families, and it rips your heart out while leaving you shook over how great the animation and the soundtrack is
Castlevania
this one is insane. it is super gorey and violent with tons of swearing, but if you like that stuff you'll love this one. vampires and action with some stunning animation drags you in quickly, and the plotline is actually really good and you'll end up feeling for the characters so hard. their struggles are so investing and even if there's blood every second, it still manages to hook you quickly and wanna know what happens next. still haven't seen the new season yet, but I bet it's great
Primal
created by Genndy Tartakovsky, the legend behind Samurai Jack, so you already know this one is good. it's a short miniseries but whoo boy is it good. the animation is so nice, and this one is so unique. following the story of a caveman and a dinosaur becoming unlikely companions after loss, there is no dialogue. that makes it such a unique experience and it gets so emotional with some pure raw emotions that just crush you
The Midnight Gospel
the newest addition to the family, created by Pendleton War, the genius behind Adventure Time, this one messed me up in ways that I can't even put into words yet. it's an animated podcast with crazy trippy animation behind it and holy shit it is so unique. it takes time to process everything going on, but once in you get in the flow of it it hits you with emotions. following a guy who goes into a simulator to different worlds to interview people for his spacecast, expect for some great discussions of the struggles of hoping, coping with loss, and meditation. take your time with this one, it is so beautiful and funny
adult western animation is finally swinging up, and these are only some of the good ones. thought it would be good to advertise how not adult animation is ugly and just gross humor all the time, because people are finally telling stories that only adults can understand and relate to and feel, and I for one am absolutely here for it
never liked the childhood imagery for bnha. It's cute, nauseatingly so, it's 100% calculated to evoke easy feelings of adoration and protection and sympathy for a character. Which is fine, I'm not against it as a trope, I think it's very cute too!
But that childhood imagery was always Not Real. It takes place in the Past. It was Things That Could've Been. And here, as the official account puts it, Things From Another Lifetime.
But why not this lifetime? Why can't the hand holding and connection and bright colors and healing be in the lifetime the characters are in now? Yeah, it probably can't ever reach this level of Brightness, but it doesn't mean it's not worth it?
But Childhood Imagery + The Conclusion We Got means it was just too late. The time to save Toga was when she was 3 years old. Being 17 means it's all over. Can you save Villains? Yes, but only when they're age 5 or less. So before they became Villains. Before they even become 'misbehaving' children, actually.
So can you save Villains? No.
The satisfaction from Childhood Imagery isn't from solving the problem, it's from a 'what if'.
And that's fine! I love AUs. But I'm not reading fanfic here, i'm reading the canon manga and the story asked 'can the Heroes save the Villains' and the answer is a no. But Maybe In Another Lifetime.
Which is also fine, if we are to take this to mean the Heroes lost and failed. But that is a downer conclusion to give to your heroic protags. idk. Maybe hence the conclusion of 'well, next time then, so just keep reaching out.' But this was the first and only time in the story Ochako tried to reach out to a Villain like Toga so we're starting off not too good, with a total record of 0. Will next time work? Or will it have to happen In Another Lifetime?
(Plus also we don't see that Heroes reach out and save the next crying taboo-quirk 3-year-old. That radio blurb of 'expanding quirk counseling' doesn't count. What does that even mean, 'expanding'? Because more importantly, that wasn't what Toga needed. She needed her parents to not be so emotionally and verbally abusive towards her. She needed a mom and dad that didn't tell her 'we gave birth to something inhuman'. Because her parents couldn't get her into quirk counseling fast enough. They depended on the counselor to 'iron' out her deviancies. What does Expanding quirk counseling solve here? Expand therapy techniques so that the parents can have a quiet child that wouldn't embarrass them so much they have to yell at them that they're subhuman? Is expanding quirk counseling going to do anything about the parents who want those expanded two-hour long sessions, expanded to every day, to 'fix' their child because else they'll have to abuse the abnormalities out themselves?)
(Else they have to lock their kid in a basement? and only when the next disaster comes, the kid can finally escape and get rescued by a guilt-ridden civilian? Instead of a Hero who hasn't done their job of 'saving' at all in this kid's years of suffering????)
Childhood Imagery is so cheap to use. smh horikoshi
Seriously, Mr. Hyunch and Stolas couldn't anymore the opposite of each other if they had to be. Stolas is a privileged asshole who always whines how hard life is for him, while Mr. Hyunch is a immigrant working class man who kept the sadness of his past to himself until he opened up to Arnold about it. They do have one similarity is they both have a daughter but how they handled being a father is different.
Stolas for most of her life was a good father, until he decided to wreck his home life by cheating on his wife which has caused all sorts of tension between him and Octavia. Despite the narrative trying to say how much of a loving father he is, after the affair begins he focuses more and more on Blitzo rather than her to the point it feels like empty words. It gets to the point that in the second to last episode of the season we see him say he can't live without Blitzo to the point he was willing to be executed for his sake which on paper looks selfless but he essentially broke his promise as a father he would always be there for his daughter and this just shows how much he's discarded Octavia in the forethought of his mind.
Despite Mai only getting prominence in the Christmas episode, this really demonstrated what type of father he was. The guy not only before he gave up Mai was raising her in Vietnam as a single working class father but during the Vietnam War. He even tried to get a plane out of their so they wouldn't be caught up in the fall of Saigon and when he couldn't get both of them out he decided to do the hardest thing a parent could do which is give her up so she can have a better life. Even though he knew this meant he wouldn't know how long they would be apart, he was just thinking of her safety. And again this man probably had endure the worst that Communist Vietnam had to offer during those 20 years of separation before finally getting out. But I can imagine the hope one day he could see his daughter in America would get him through.
Although both lose contact with their daughter due to circumstances, Stolas loses Octavia because of his own self-destructive actions that are never condemned by the narrative and ultimately he's a selfish person whose always putting his wants before her needs. This is in contrast with Mr. Huynh who did what he did because he loved his daughter so much and put her future in his mind. Although she was only seen two times in the city, we do see of her that she has grown up in a good environment because of the great sacrifice her father did. And that's why I don't see Stolas' thing as a big sacrifice because at the root of selfishness that has plagued his character and he only thought about Octavia once he was banished. He wasn't fully putting her as a priority until after he had to deal with the consequences of defending Blitzo. If he was executed then he really didn't need to think about anything, which again shows how much he didn't think of her in that instance. Ultimately, Mr. Hyunch shows what an example of a selfless father is in contrast with a selfish one like Stolas.

sometimes I forget that I'm just a teenager writing a webcomic in my spare time, so I shouldn't hold myself to the same standards as, say, a feature film with an entire team of professional writers, or Hiromu Arakawa. Writing flawed stories is okay, and even necessary in order to write better ones :)
(if you want to read aforementioned amateur webcomic...)
