For those who say that russia attacking Ukraine is a “white people war” and that it doesn’t concern people of color
The bots are evolving!!
Now I’ve seen bots with firstname-lastname combo with numbers in the middle, but even more odd are the ones without numbers at all… Some jumbled up almost-words that at first glance could be actual tumblrs. But when you click through to see their blogs, they look just like the old bots.
Apparently at some point the bots starts to leave comments with malware links on your posts if left to their own devices. I saw that in the wild today on someone else’s post.

Ordinary people are clearing the rubble of a Children Hospital "Ohmatdit" today in Kyiv, July 8th, 2024.
Today, Russian terrorists launched a massive missile attack 50+ missiles on several main cities of Ukraine, including the capital. All of them hit civilian infrastructure. "Ohmatdit" is the biggest and most famous, most modern children hospital in Ukraine, one of the biggest in Europe. Parents from all over the country bring their kids there. The missile hit the wing where cancer kids were placed as well as where the intensive care unit was situated.
For now 5 people confirmed dead in Kyiv. 11 confirmed dead in Kryivyi Rih - where Russians also hit civilian infrastructure and an administrative building.
here's all three of them
Folks, friends, y’all…. esk*mo is a slur. I understand a lot of people don’t know that, I don’t want to be a dick about it, but I’ve been seeing it in fics. Wanna write “esk*mo kisses”? Just say “nuzzled noses” or something.
I’m not here to call anybody out, it’s been in multiple fics, I’m not vague posting. This is just a psa. 👍🏻
He has no idea but he us gonna watch outdated things with Eri asking that she does not tell Shigaraki the things they watched.
He will call disney plus a sham for not having school house rock.
By the end of the day Eri is singing all the little songs and will not stop singing to conjunction junction.
Kurogiri had fear when Jin said that he would watch the kid in his motel room but he comes back and sees just Eri asleep on Jin with a blanket on the kid as Jin is fully immersed with the kids show.
Jin knows a lot of them missed out on childhoods so everyone is gonna give what they can to Eri and if shows and bedtimes is something he can do he will do it.
Then the first time it is late she can't sleep and Jin takes her to the park at lile 11pm. And she goes on the slide and swings and stays out till about 1 am and is tuckered out she nearly falls into Jins leg walking back.
Jin scoops her back up and it feels different in Eris mind this feels warm and safer as Jin wraps his jacket around her even though he still has the mask on he whispers to her, "Get some sleep kiddo it'll be okay."
Jin is gentle with the kid and he sleeps on the couch giving her the bed but often wakes up when he feels her crawl up onto him.
Yeah, Zuko Alone is still one of the very best, if not the best, episodes of Avatar. The shocking and disturbing revelations about his family and backstory are riveting, the choreography of his fight with the earthbenders is incredible, and the choice to explore Zuko’s psychological trauma through the framework of a Western is brilliant. But above all, the moment when Li turns on Zuko and rejects him for being a firebender is so important, as it’s the first of many scenes in his path to redemption in which he tries to help but is ultimately rejected by those he saves. It’s such a pivotal episode for his character development, and it’s still one of my favs.
when no one has written the exact fic to scratch a very specific emotional itch and you absolutely do not have time to write it yourself but you still want to read it dammit
Hi! What would a traditional bride from Śląsk wear on her wedding day?
Hello! Answering your question might be a bit complicated, because Śląsk is quite a large area divided into two main subregions [Górny Śląsk - Upper Silesia and Dolny Śląsk - Lower Silesia], each having several types of costumes. However, there are some common elements that I might show you below.
Most of Silesian brides would wear: a jacket/blouse called jakla [often in black colour seen as the most elegant/dignifying - but it was changing with time and fashion trends], a skirt painted or embroidered with floral motifs [common in most of Silesian festive clothing] and a so-called “turkish shawl” [chusta turecka with decorative patterns and fringe] worn over the shoulders. One of characteristic elements is also a wreath/crown made usually from green myrtle - and the flower crowns were reserved for the bridesmaids during the wedding that [in general, flower wreaths would be worn only by unmarried women].
Here’s example from Bytom - clothing called strój rozbarski after Rozbark that is nowadays district of the Bytom city [source]:

Here you have a presentation of wedding clothing from Mysłowice city [source]:

Another example from Racibórz, second picture shows the act of changing the wreath to a married woman’s head covering [source]:
And the same custom of changing the wreath to a headwear on the example of Bytom costume [source]:
In general, the myrtle wreaths were so important, that most of the brides would later keep them in a flat showcase on the wall as a memorial of the wedding [image below is a printscreen from the Silesian Museum’s virtual tour]:
The black jakla jacket might look a bit boring at the first sight [as I’ve heard before] - but it’s only an effect on badly balanced photographs… just look at these details [source]:
This is just a quick reply that focuses on the Upper Silesia region, but I hope it gives you a good picture.
[note to self: I should post more examples from Silesia]
