Imagine Zavala courting Caiatl and everything goes well till she announces that the last step for their relationship/marriage to be official by cabal customs is Zavala having to perform a special rite of proving. The thing is that he has to fight the strongest warrior Caiatl chooses and ofc she chose the YW cause they're super strong and she wants to honor her customs but now Zavala has to win in a fight against THE godslayer, which let's be real he'd get his ass handed back to him but he has no choice but to agree bc he's a lovestruck idiot and he's lucky that the YW wants to see them together so like they have to fake being sloppy during the rite so Zavala can win. Little do they know that Caiatl /knows/ but what's going on but she's amused by Zavala fretting so much over this that she acts unaware. She's very proud of Zavala nonetheless!!
