Karuta Time!

Mirin Kitty-chan

I was inspired to do an Mirin-based Hello Kitty by an image I saw. So this is my take on it. Done in my own style, so lacking in the outlines of Kittychan.

Another old one. Honestly I don’t like this one, but I do like the colours of it. I really feel like I was lacking when it came to the boarder. The line art is by a AnotherYou on Deviant art. Unfortunately, they have since deleted their account, and cannot be linked back to directly. If someone knows any information on the original artist, please send it to me. In the meanwhile, here’s a photobucket version of the original lineart.

Karuta time!

It’s been a great run and it’s finally time to bring it to a close. I’ve enjoyed translating the Karuta sets and having the help of those who provided me with the cards. This set had actually already been translated, so I’m just going to copy the translations here. But a Karuta set wouldn’t be complete without all the letters. So to close off the Karuta Cards. Here is the Vowel set.I apologize in advance. I couldn’t get any copies of them without the arrows in it.

A- Sorry I defeated the Rampaging Unicorn. アバレイッカク倒しちやってごめんね。

I-　The People of Imuchakk. Gentle, giant warriors. イムチャック大きな身体の優しい戦士。

U-　Shut up! I'll kill you Sinbad!! うるせえなぶつ殺してやるシンドバッド！！

E-　Rurumu teaches the importance of smiles. えがおが大事ルルムの教え。

O-　I never thought the day would come when I'd be called an old man おじさんと言いおれる日が来るなんて・・・。

KARUTA TIME

Hello any and everyone who’s been following my translations of the SInbad no Bouken Karuta cards. At this point, all of the letters have been released. Congratulations! However, I am still misisng the first sets of the cards. These sets include (Listed in both the English set and the actual Kana):

A, I, U, E, O 　　　　　あ　い　う　え　お Ka, Ki, Ku, Ke, Ko　　  か　き　く　け　こ Sa, Shi, Su, Se, So　　さ　し　す　せ　そ Ta, Chi, Tsu, Te, To　　た　ち　つ　て　と Na, Ni, Nu, Ne, No　　 な　に　ぬ　ね　の

Any one who further wishes to provide the Karuta cards to me so I can go back and translate the original sets, please send me a message with the files. I will only accept image files, so please don’t send zips. If for any reason your message is not going through, please send me an ask with your name and I’ll get back to you. I request good quality images and require both the front and the back of the card in its original Japanese. 12 Days of Artmas

On the second day of artmas, a painter gave to me, two melon slices

It’s 12 days of art to help improve my flow and style and capacity. One image every day.

Some pictures of Yunan~ Some of these are really early works, some of these are more recent. The artists for the original line art are as follows

1. An Icon taken from the labyrinth of magic manga. Owned by Ohtaka-sensei. 

2. I’m not precisely sure if this is accurate. The furthest I could trace the line art back to was Zahedra Henderson on Pintrest. So I believe that’s the original artist. Please feel free to let me know if you find someone else as the source. The line art I took can be found here.

3. Again, not precisely sure who the original artist was. I had downloaded it through Pintrest which stated it was saved from Tumblr. The only version I could find of it on Tumblr was this which I’m hoping is the original one. If anyone can give me further information please send it to me.

Today I learn that one of the only “Christmas songs” I actually like is not actually a Christmas song. That... explains a lot.

Only good thing about Christmas time is I get to hear carol of the bells all the time but the bad part is I have to act normal like that song doesn’t go hard as fuck
