okay so inscryption is a game i really enjoy so decided to come up with a custom mechanic for it! (I have an idea for a scrybe that uses these cards, but they aren’t done yet). So, without further to do, tension!

all tension cards are seemingly “free” in that they can be played immediately but have a cost of 1-4. if the cost of all cards on your side of the board is over 4, you shall take the excess number of tension points as damage to all of your cards. 

your side deck is full of various mechanical cards that aid in tension management such as “tension jars” that increase the maximum. 

a 1-cost card would be like a squirrel or empty vessel, maybe a skunk. a 2-cost card would be like a stoat. a 3-cost card would be like a wolf, and a 4-cost card would be like a bear. this means that to play a four damage card, you must leave every other lane open.

hur dur, yeah character is a “they” but i personally think they look boy so i intentionally misgender. like how does this anons’ mindset help anybody?

it's actually really weird that Napstablook is treated as a "they" because even though they go by that in the game they just really look like a boy in the game itself and the overall fandom considerates them a he. thaaaaaaat's pronouns. they suck.

I don't see what's so weird about it. They're a bedsheet ghost. Nothing about that is inherently masculine or feminine. I feel like a lot of people misgendering Blooky as he do so due to gender stereotypes more than anything (e.g. tophats, being dapper, etc), when those kinda stereotypes can kinda push people into rigid boxes, y'know? Like, on a personal level, I think a cisgender, straight guy could totally wear a dress if he wanted to, just like girls can get away with wearing pants and suits regardless of orientation. Like, to me, that just says more about the fandom, y'know? Blooky is only ever referred to as they, and you can't argue projection and interpretation with them.

My favorite thing about Act 2 Leshy is how quickly he goes back into his old roles

Like he just went from THE Game Master, to getting carded by the very player he sought to entertain, to being just an area boss with an admittedly easy deck to beat.

Yet he goes STRAIGHT for that roll. He doesn’t bring act 1 up to you directly once. He COULD have been salty about you taking control of the game from him. He could be mad about having to be a card. He could be upset you can’t play only his game anymore. But he’s not.

He’s the Great Scrybe of Beasts, an area boss in the video game Inscryption, and he’s going to play that roll hard as he can.
