According to the MV display at Creators Festa 2024, the 2DMV for Villain was specifically designed with motifs that represent the suffering minority groups face, such as how they will sometimes resist and sometimes accept how the people around them try to shape them.

I am obsessed with the way u draw Akechi (I really like the details of the scars you’ve given him bc that really connects with me) and I love the way u often draw him in heavy layers of formal clothing that cover up a lot (the game does that too but I feel like ur art really highlights it). It also makes seeing him in less conservative clothing hit harder. The doodle of him in short sleeves & a skirt with the Labrys art is silly of course but it also feels really vulnerable and genuine in a way that makes me a little emotional dhdjdbd

waaah omg thank you!! i try really hard to give characters a consistent style when i dress them up so it means a lot that thats been noticed teehee. i like to think that as "the detective prince" he adopted the style of a lot of business-casual, conservative clothing in light colours. once he stops needing to put on airs in the same way, he branches out with darker colours which he prefers, but usually, he'll still be covering himself up to avoid making a stir w all of his scars-- its better to avoid too much attention.
