In this AU, Akito and Toya are in some sort of rural town. There has been news of an epidemic of people going “mad” after listening to a certain song, people who are affected known for lashing out at people. Accounts of those who witness it also say that it usually ends in a painful death. After it started, music is banned and anyone caught listening to music and singing ends up being executed or worse.

Akito had grown up from a family of musicians, him being famous for his busking performances. People often praised him for his instrumental skills and voice, having met Toya during one of his performances. One could say that music is what brought them together, sometimes the two of them planned out days where they play and sing together!

Things changed for the worse one fateful day, when Akito became one of the infected. He noticeably became more and more angry and violent, one close to him would know something was wrong. Toya was desperate, he didn’t want to see his partner in pain.

“Toya?” Akito asks him one day. It was well known that usually the last day of someone infected with such curse is seen acting normal for the last time. Both Akito and Toya knew. Toya’s heart dropped to his stomach when he realized.

“Yes, Akito?” Toya asks after a long pause. Akito, the one who usually wore a smile, the one who comforted Toya when he was down…looked sad. “I’m sorry it had to come to this” Akito says with a sad smile. Toya’s eyes widened once he took out a gun. “Please…”

Time seemed to slow as Toya stared at Akito in shock. “Akito…please…I can’t lose you…” The blue haired male begged, tears threatening to fall from his eyes. “I’m sorry for hiding this from you for so long…please don’t hate me” Akito says before what seemed like him showing him the gun. It took Toya a second to realize…”Akito…you’re insane! I can’t possibly-“ “Toya, I’m sorry I couldn’t say this earlier…”

Toya was left speechless for a few moments. “Say what Akito?” He asks the ginger, his eyes watering once more. “I love you, Toya. I’m sorry, I should’ve told you sooner” Akito says. They both knew it wouldn’t be long before he would succumb fully to the curse. Toya stared at the gun offered to him. He knew this was a lose-lose situation.

“I…I love you too, Akito. I-“ Toya got cut off with a sob. He never cried in front of Akito, up until now. Hands shaking, he hesitantly grabbed the gun. Akito looked at Toya, unsure of what to say. He then said, “Maybe in the next life, we’ll meet again. Who knows?” Akito says with a smile.

“Akito, don’t say that! Surely there-“ Toya got cut off by Akito grabbing onto his shoulder. “Toya…I trust you. I always have and will. I’m sure you can say the same for me, and…you and I both know that this is the best thing to do” Akito then hugged Toya. He knew the hug was his way of saying farewell, Toya bursting into tears.

“I’m sorry it had to be this way. Farewell, Toya Aoyagi”

Akitoya headcanons (kinda based of situations that happened?)

-Akito is very into a music genre, casually sends Toya his 21+ hour long playlist. Toya doesn’t bat an eye

-Akito: *Sobbing on call while watching music videos* “The music videos are so amazing and relatable and-“ Toya: *Is listening while trying to figure out how Roblox works*

-Akito is very “Laberdoodle energy” while Toya is definitely the more calm one

Up all Night (Akitoya fanfic in honor of my insomnia haha)

||heyyyy guys! I decided to say screw sleep, and I am now doing a fic instead! Is it going to be me projecting a little? Yeah, definitely. Based of a song? Yep! (Up all night - Straykids) I do hope y’all enjoy and if you’re going through something similar, just know you aren’t alone. Also, this one is a hurt with no comfort for my angst lovers out there ;)||

It was another restless night for Akito. With headphones in, playing the same song on loop, Toya sleeping beside him. The faint glow of the computer lit up the otherwise pitch black room. The faint sound of typing also filled the room with the occasional sound of a car zooming by.

Akito often found it extremely difficult to rest, even though his tired body begged for it. Perhaps it was the caffeine he consumes daily is the issue? Either way, all he thought about was to create. Create something, leave behind something to be remembered by. Something for someone, anyone, to be proud of. Akito continued to type, tired olive-green eyes glued to the computer screen on his lap. Hours passed, before he knew it, he reached 4 am. No sign of sleep. “Akito?” A voice called out, sleepy and concerned nevertheless. Akito, snapping out of his trance, looked at the source of the voice. It was Toya, looking at Akito with concern etched on his face. His face…so beautiful…so hand- “Akito?” He calls out again, causing Akito to snap out of his train of thought, responding gruffly with a “Hm?” “Why are you awake? I’m not mad, I’m just concerned…” The blue haired male asked his partner. “I…got carried away” Akito confesses. “Akito…” “Yeah, I know…I can’t sleep” Akito responds with a sigh. “I’ll go back to sleep” The ginger says, a part of him hating himself for lying to his lover. Toya thought nothing of it, going back to sleep. Akito ended up working the rest of the night.

“I need to sleep…”

||Yo! Lucky is back with a fic, this one being an Akitoya angst fic! (I am a sucker for angst) so please enjoy! I’m definitely going back to writing, as I now have motivation! Whooo! Also, fair warning for sensitive topics discussed in this fic! Also, it’s from Akito’s pov and may be slightly self indulgent…and major death!||

Another winter spent alone. Akito looked out his window. The scenery usually filled with color, is now drained. The white of the snow covering what was once colorful. He stared out the window. Another winter alone. Nothing new, right? How could he expect things to change after it being the same year after year?

Akito was in his room, posters slightly peeling off the walls, music heard from downstairs. He liked to be alone. That was until he met Toya. He changed everything, making him feel less alone. At the same time, he felt more alone than he ever felt before. Perhaps he had hope that things would change. “Akito?” A voice called out, sounding worried. Who was calling him? “Akito? You okay?”

It was Toya, a concerned look painted into his face and eyes. He worried about him. Something he was never used to. “Akito?” “Hm?” Akito finally responds, snapping out of his trance. He had forgotten that he invited him to hang out. Ena was out with her friends and his parents, away on vacation. That meant that he had time to spend with his boyfriend. He heard some muffled noises before he heard the phrase “doing alright?” “…yeah, I guess so.” He lied.

If anyone knew the truth, they would know he was lying. He didn’t want to bother Toya, thinking that he wouldn’t want to “burden” him and all that jazz. “Aki, you don’t seem alright…” “oh? I didn’t notice” Akito responds to Toya’s concern. “I…” Akito began but trailed off. They both knew something was up, but neither knew how to address it. They both remained silent, Akito staring out the window once more.

“Being a snowflake wouldn’t be so bad, would it?” That would be the last thing Toya would hear. Akito died the next day.

Istg my schedule has drop kicked me but I WILL post today. So let’s go!

I’m doing three, so let’s start off with question 7, which is question 1 to me today.

The question asks, “What anime I’ve wanted to see, but haven’t.” And funnily enough, I have a whole note made in my notes app reminding me what manga and anime I’ve wanted to get into but haven’t had the chance to yet. They are:

And a bit more than this, but it was a link and I didn’t want you guys to click on it because I forget what it is. Anyway, it’s funny because I don’t remember exactly why “Say yes to heaven” is on here, or what it’s are about. I’ve gotten a bit into Jujitsu Kaisen but only manga-wise cause my Hulu is acting funky and I don’t want to start paying for Crunchyroll and haven’t found time to get on Funimation. 

Anyway the next question is my favorite canon (not actual) couple. I actually happen to have a few, because I’ve seen and played way too much anime in my life lol.

Akitoya (Akito x Toya from Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage)

They are best friends and seeing them support each other is adorable. They’ve been there for each other in the highs and lows in both of there lives, holding each other up. It’s shows how kind both of them are, and how close they are to each other. If you take the people that ship Kohane x An, you can see that the only people left to ship are Akito and Toya! Honestly I could ramble about the two them all day, but we have to move on to the next one!

Ruikasa (Rui x Tsukasa from Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage)

Honestly I don’t have much to say about this ship. I got into it because my friend who recently started playing started shipping them right away. So I guess she ended up passing the obsession she has not only with the game but the ship to me, but now I support it whole heartedly. I could see the duo being cute, and the hilarious shenanigans they could get into, but it seems the people of Ruikasa got to me before the idea even crossed my mind lol.

Mikalight (Light Yagami x Mikami from Death Note)

I support this ship only because the devotion Mikami has for Light. You can see how far he’s willing to go, even though he got arrested in the end. Even though Light Yagami is supposed to be “dating” Miss Amane, you can see he doesn’t have any feelings for her by how he manipulates her and Takada. Maybe a part of myself ships this ship so Misa could get away from Light and how toxic he is even though she has as much devotion towards him as L does to a cake.

These are the three canon couples I could think of at the moment, so let’s move onto the next question!

Third and last question is what couple that is actually dating is my favorite? Ummmm that’s a good question cause I legit forget who is dating and dive into the lore but I think I can think of one.

Ykw I’m feeling inspired it’s time for a yap session. Who wants to hear my opinions on akitoya? :)

You know… people seriously underutilize how much Toya rags on Akito. The fandom never acknowledges it because Akito is the mean one and Toya is the nice one but in all the stories and interactions they’ve ever had (bc I’ve read all of them) Akito has not said anything even slightly rude to Toya, and Toya is consistently like—

Which is much more peak dynamic if you ask me.

I like to imagine the first time he made a comment like that and Akito stared at him for several seconds like (I didn’t know he was capable of jokes…) and Toya was like (oh shit I messed up he’s gonna get mad at me maybe I should apologize..) and then Akito just laughs about it and that is the beginning of the bromance

Both of them put on a certain amount of facade when interacting with most people, like most people do. For Akito, that’s his ‘tough guy’ standoffish and combative persona, and for Toya it’s his stiff, formal politeness. So naturally, it would follow that with the person they feel most comfortable around, this vanishes. During the first wedding event, when Akito met Rui he immediately put up a front and decided to dislike him. But the second Toya asked him, he caved and agreed to help. If you looked in his brain while he’s talking to toya at any one moment it would just be like

Akito’s vulnerability is letting himself be sweet and sentimental. It’s the genuine smile he only wears when he’s looking at toya or at his sister. It’s ruffling his hair after doing well in an event and complimenting him the way he only does for his teammates. And for Toya, it’s being able to joke around and mess with his best friend without worrying about getting in trouble. Their affection for each other is mimicking the parts of the other’s personality that they find most endearing and I think that’s beautiful

Another example of this fandom attitude that I’ve noticed is stuff like this meme: (no hate to the creator obv.)

Let’s be fr… we know what Akito is like, right? This is the guy who beat a band that bullied him in middle school in a singing battle and then immediately berated himself for daring to be even a little bit proud about it. This is the guy who heard that he wasn’t the most committed to soccer in the entire world and decided to quit. Do you think his thought process would be so simple as to just be happy after kissing the love of his life? AbsoLUTELY not. This guy is running out of the room IMMEDIATELY to go white-knuckle the bathroom sink. He is going to stare at his reflection breathing heavily and trying to wipe the blush off his face before falling heavily against the door behind him and sinking slowly to the tile to bury his face in his knees. Akito is the least mentally stable man I’ve ever met. Toya, on the other hand. With how much he admires Akito, and with how much he wears his heart on his sleeve without even realizing what he’s feeling himself, the only thoughts I can imagine going through his mind are ‘:D’ Toya would not hide any of his emotions from Akito for a second, I doubt he even knows how. The only thing Toya is doing is realizing, ‘oh, I’m in love with him.’ And then saying, ‘Akito, I’m in love with you.’

To close this out I’m going to send you all to one of my favorite takes on their dynamic in this post. This is especially true after reading Toya’s side story in his 3star from kick it up a notch, which I highly recommend all akitoya fans go read ❤️❤️❤️

Okay the Akito homophobic jokes are kinda funny sometimes but genuinely we can all hopefully agree that in their relationship toya is the one who’s like dying of internalised homophobia
