can I just say how much I love thinking about max and connecting his behavior to adhd experiences -u-
Leaving these silly goobers here
Maybe I’m reading too deep into Sam and Max’s codependency, but did anyone else ever realize that Sam and Max gauge each other’s emotional responses to a situation and (often) use said emotional response to mirror that to their own responses? I’m not sure if that makes sense, but here’s the best example I have on hand:
Scenes from 103: Casino explosion.
SC1: Happy, looking to Sam for his reaction (given we can’t see it, but we can safely infer it’s the same as we see it in other frames).
SC2: Quickly gauged, realizing Sam’s not too jovial about this and mirroring that to his own reaction.
SC3: Panicked, almost? Remains that way until they are outside the casino.

I’m probably overanalyzing their codependency, given how usually lighthearted the franchise is (cough…301-305…). I have so many other analyses regarding this duo that I need to figure out how to write out in a way that makes sense, because I feel like the psychological part of this community might enjoy them. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.
This is just a warm up post so y’all know what you’re getting into…
Max telling Heavy he'll protect him from any ghosts plus Heavy's reaction has to be the most wholesome video game interaction.

My first time animating in like two years, so I hope it looks okay :>
(Context: this is post 305, max has a hard time with feelings)
I have only just begun to stick my toes into the murky depths of all the fanfic but here’s what I’ve found so far.
Listed in no particular order.
Kinda but not really long post but I think you should check it out. Truth be told I read most of these late night and didn’t notice most were written by the same handful of people
