I have some recs! It's not exactly what you want (if you're looking for more cultivation based novels) unfortunately... but they're bahie and very beautifully written ones 2, they focus much more on politics and war so note: they will discuss heavy topics(so make sure to check any warnings labelled on the book):
All written by pdl (please don't laugh):
1)Jwqs:
It's abt a Cross dressing princess, who after her kingdom was completely destroyed during war by the enemy, seeks to get her revenge Unfortunately, her plans are foiled as the king marries her off to his favored princess and finds herself reluctantly falling in love(this changes nothing)
Very angsty and beautifully written.
It has a somewhat bitter sweet ending, it's not a BAD ending though.
2)Ruzhui:
The story of a women who is apart of a time travelling project finds herself accidentally stuck in a completely different dimension, After some accidental meddling she gets married to a rich merchant and is now stuck between deciding on leaving the women she loves or the world she knows and misses.
Unlike the former this is actually a comedy, it does dicuss heavy topics (alot). But I'm half-way into reading it, it's very good.
Also cultivation is a thing in this story but its not a common thing, so far their is only one known cultivator in the story (so don't expect anything magical to happen)
3)Female general and eldest princess:
I haven't really read this novel yet, despite it arguably being pdls most popular novel so my info on the actual book is quite lacking but here we go (I got the summary from Google lol)
The story of a crossdressing General and a strategic all-knowing Eldest Princess enfolds; with betrayal, violence, thrilling romance, and acceptance
This might be an incredibly specific ask, and I may be asking in the wrong places, however..
Are there any good wlw novels set in fantasy/history, with the same writing style and vibe as danmei novels such as TGCF, MDZS, Ballad of Sword and Wine etc?
Any fictional setting will do, I'm just putting feelers out there since it's been a long time since I've found a book series I've truly fallen in love with :(
My favorite part abt the star trek fandom especially the tos one is that as an outsider you'd see someone talk abt a plot from the show and you'd probably be like "damn what fan fic plot is this?" Only to actually watch the show and realise it was not fanon but canon..
Ik that human wwx X vulcan lwj is the expectation in all star trek X mdzs crossovers but. But! Hear me out, Betazoid wwx X vulcan lwj .
Telepathic besties to Telepathic lovers.
In another universe they were the trio we got 😣
Vulcans would be distressed at the state of modern slang😭😭
Random ensign 1000: Wow thanks for helping me Mr, Spock! You're the GOAT!
Spock: I am not a goat.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine "Past Tense, Pt. 1"
Mdzs has had almost every sort of adaption... now when are we getting that musical?
i imagine i am not alone in needing an easy way to listen to this on repeat
Secret santa thingy with @h0frwann1ng thehee
I can't believe their are genuinely ppl who think wwx was to blame for any of the misfortunes that happened in the book or call him arrogant, lazy etc like.....? Did we read the same book😭😭
Or also insult lwj etc for similar reasons!
The mdzs fandom secretly is the cultivation world I am sure of it.
as someone who’s only read mdzs by mxtx so far and plans to read svsss and tgcf in the near (but equally as distant) future, EVERY single corner of this fandom is filled with spoiler landmines lmaoooo i’m dodging yall’s posts lefts and right, i have knowledge of soooo many downright bizarre, nonsensical plot points because without context all of this sounds so fucking crazy like i wish so bad someone somewhere is experiencing this exact same predicament coz. wow.
~They/them~, In many fandoms, I like art/writing sometimes i edit, certified lwj/wwx defender they did nothing wrong.
